Introduction
I lay on the cold operating table, listening to the steady beep of the monitor. "Why?" Dr. Wilson's voice trembled as he held my bloody chart. "Why did you try to kill yourself, Lena?"
I stared blankly at the ceiling. "Was there another choice?"
For eighteen years, I was the "wolfless freak." I was the punching bag for my family, the scapegoat for my adopted sister, Serena. When Alpha Aiden—the only man who ever loved me—fell into a coma, they blamed me. They said I was cursed.
They chained me to a silver chair. They whipped my back until I passed out. They watched Serena steal my credit, steal my parents' love, and even steal the man who promised to marry me.
"If I die," I had thought, holding the blade, "at least the pain stops."
Now, my parents rushed in, fake tears streaming down their faces. "Thank the Goddess you're alive! We were just trying to help you break the curse!" My mother cried. But then she leaned in close, whispering the words that finally killed my soul: "But Serena is the future Luna. You can't ruin her reputation with this suicide attempt. Keep your mouth shut."
I looked at them—the people who were supposed to protect me. I didn't cry. I didn't scream. My heart had finally turned to stone.
"Get out," I whispered.
Just then, the door burst open. A guard stood there, panting, eyes wide with terror.
"The Alpha... He's awake. And he's asking for the girl with the scar on her shoulder."
My mother's face went pale. Serena froze.
Because the girl with the scar isn't Serena. It's me.
Chapter 1
"Stay back, you wolfless freak."
Mother Eliza's words cut like a blade as she twisted my arm and shoved me to the outermost ring of the bonfire. I bit my lip, staying silent. Tonight was Aiden's succession ceremony, and I didn't want to embarrass her in front of the pack.
In the flickering firelight, I watched her gaze follow my adopted sister Serena in the front row, her eyes filled with pride and anticipation.
"Look how beautiful she is," Eliza whispered, almost to herself. "If she gets chosen as Luna tomorrow..."
Under the moonlight, Serena truly looked ethereal. I quietly adjusted her wind-blown dress hem. She turned back with a gentle smile.
Pack members gathered around her, whispering: "Traditionally, Alphas choose the first girl to shift as their Luna. Serena has the best chance."
"The little hero who saved Marcus and his wife years ago—her character is perfect for Luna too."
My chest tightened. The little hero who saved my parents? Ten years ago, when the rogue wolf burst into our home, it was me who pushed three-year-old Lucas into safety and threw myself at those claws. The scars on my shoulder still ache when it rains.
The next day, newly adopted Serena had pulled me aside, tears streaming: "Lena, let me say I was the one who saved them, okay? Then they'll really accept me."
Seeing her cry so pitifully, I had nodded.
From that day forward, everyone believed Serena had stood in front of our parents. I became "the coward who hid in the corner." When Serena became the first child in our pack to shift at fifteen, this "heroic deed" was praised even more.
"Serena," came Lucas's voice from behind as he squeezed through the crowd. "The ceremony's about to start. Mom wants you up front."
Watching his excitement, my heart ached. He'd always preferred Serena—I'd known that for years.
"Go ahead," I gently pushed Serena. "Don't keep everyone waiting."
"Aren't you coming with me?" she asked, something unreadable flickering in her eyes.
"I can see fine from here."
The ceremony reached its climax. Aiden was officially crowned Alpha, and thunderous applause erupted. The girls around me gazed at him with infatuation, but his eyes cut through the crowd and found mine.
His lips moved clearly: "Tomorrow's mate ceremony. Wait for me."
I touched the silver moon pendant he'd secretly given me yesterday, my heart racing. We met at the orphanage where we both volunteered monthly to care for the pups. Even knowing I showed no signs of a wolf, he still said he'd marry me.
Eighteen years. Because I had no wolf, I'd always been a burden to this family. But maybe tomorrow, everything would change. They'd always worried about building close ties with the next Alpha—maybe my parents would finally be proud of me.
"Let's go home!" Marcus's cold voice cut through my daydream.
On the way back, I walked beside Serena: "You looked beautiful tonight. I'm sure you'll find your mate tomorrow."
She glanced at me, her expression complex: "Lena, are you really okay with this? I mean... you still haven't shifted."
"Why wouldn't I be?" I smiled genuinely. "You're my sister. Your happiness makes me happy."
At our doorstep, Eliza suddenly stopped.
"Tomorrow's mate ceremony—you're not going."
My heart skipped a beat. "Why not?"
"Someone without a wolf going there would just be embarrassing. Go deliver water to the border patrol instead. Do something useful."
My hands began to tremble. "But—"
"No buts!" She turned to Serena, her voice immediately warm: "Sweetheart, remember to wake up early tomorrow to arrange the altar flowers."
"Yes, Mom," Serena replied obediently, but I caught her stealing a glance at me.
Lucas suddenly grabbed my sleeve: "Sister, I want to see you at the ceremony."
I crouched down, touching his face: "What matters is Serena being happy, right?"
Back in my room, I clutched the silver moon necklace. Tomorrow Aiden would come—he'd never broken a promise.
When that happened, maybe my parents would understand their biological daughter was worth loving too.
I prayed silently: Moon Goddess, let my family be proud of me, just once.
Early the next morning, I'd barely put on my only decent dress when my door burst open.
"Take it off!" Eliza yanked at my dress, shoving me to the ground. "I told you not to go to the ceremony! Go deliver water!"
I silently changed back into my patched old clothes and shouldered the water buckets, thinking I could still sneak to the ceremony after my delivery.
The mountain path felt lighter than usual as I walked, full of anticipation for what would happen in a few hours. Today, he would publicly choose me.
Halfway up the trail, a patrol scout came running down in panic.
"The Alpha's had an accident! He fell from the cliff! We don't know if he's alive!"
The water buckets slipped from my hands and shattered on the rocks.
My world collapsed in that instant.

Neither does the memory of Tyler. Leaving her here without a second thought.
I shouldn’t care.
I don’t care.

They'll Regret This
My fiancé didn't just dump me—he proposed to her that same night. My so-called family handed me bus fare and a one-way ticket to the countryside.
Perfect. Let them think they won.
They don't know who I really am. The anonymous genius surgeon who saves lives when elite hospitals give up. The legendary artist whose paintings sell for millions at auction. The undefeated shadow queen of the underground fighting circuit. And the true heiress to a fortune that makes theirs look like pocket change.
Now my ex-fiancé begs on his knees. My fake sister's jealousy is eating her alive. And that cold, arrogant CEO who once threw our engagement contract in my face? He's hunting me down like a man possessed, desperate for one more chance.
They threw me away like trash to upgrade their lives.
Joke's on them.
I was always the upgrade.
The CEO's Unspoken Love
Before I could answer, he moved closer, suddenly looming over me, his face inches from mine. I felt my breath caught, my lips parting in surprise.
"Then this is the price for speaking ill of me to others," he murmured, nipping my lower lip before claiming my mouth in a real kiss. It began as punishment but quickly transformed into something else entirely as I responded, my initial rigidity melting into compliance, then active participation.
My breathing accelerated, small sounds escaping my throat as he explored my body. His touches were both punishment and pleasure, drawing shudders from me that I thought he felt reverberating through his own body.
My nightgown had ridden up, his hands discovering more of mine with each caress. We were both lost in sensation, rational thought receding with each passing second...
Three years ago, to fulfill the wish of his grandmother, I was forced to marry Derek Wells, the second son of the family that had adopted me for ten years. He didn't love me, but I had secretly loved him all along.
Now, the three-year contractual marriage is about to end, but I feel that some kind of sentiment has developed between Derek and me that neither of us is willing to admit. I'm not sure if my feelings are right, but I know that we can't resist each other physically...
The Contract Wife: Marriage Of Malice
He didn't finish. He didn't need to.
I didn't tell him to stop.
Instead, my fingers curled into his shirt, clutching the fabric as though it was my only anchor. Something in him snapped—something he had been holding back for too long. His mouth found mine in a kiss that wasn't tender, but hungry, desperate.
I gasped into him, his hand sliding up to cup my jaw, holding me as if afraid I might vanish.
"You drive me insane," he breathed against my mouth, his lips trailing to my throat. "I can't lose you, Ella. Not you."
My head fell back, a soft sound escaping me as his fingers memorized my waist. My anger melted beneath his desperation.
"James..." I whispered, more plea than protest.
His hand caught mine, fingers threading together tightly. "I'll bring him back. I swear it. Just... don't turn away from me. Please."
The word please—low, ragged, almost broken—undid me more than anything else could have.
Ella never imagined she would marry the man she had secretly loved for years in such a way.

This wasn't a fairy tale proposal, but a carefully orchestrated revenge. Because in James's heart, Ella was the culprit who had killed his sister Cecilia. He wanted her to pay the price—to atone with a lifetime of suffering.

“There are no limits between us,” he chuckled, the mirth sparkling in his gorgeous eyes. “And all of this stems from the night you gave me both pain and pleasure. I’m simply returning the favor.”
He took two steps forward, and I stepped back. “But…” The memory of what I had done filled me with fear, and I knew I had to get out of there. “I…”
“No, Firecat.” He placed an index finger on my lips. “This will take your mind off that son of a bitch.” His strong hands pulled me by the waist until I felt his hard manhood.

The Alpha's Stripper Mate
"What?" It was out of my mouth before I could stop it. I did not wait for him to answer me, I walked toward him.
"Dance on my lap."
My head screamed at me to turn around and run. But my whole body responded to his command.
"Yes, Alpha," I pulled my dress over my body, it dropped over my head and fell to the ground behind me. I was left in nothing but my matching bra and thong. My hands covered my chest on reflex.
"Let me see."
My hands dropped to my sides.
I lowered myself into his lap, facing him. His eyes peered into mine, and I could feel his hot breath fan my face. His dick responded to all my moves, hardening against my now-moist vagina. I swallowed hard, allowing my lips to part in a ragged breath. His hands trailed up to my waist.
"No touching."
