The Woman He Couldn't Stop
ImTT · Ongoing · 51.5k Words
Introduction
First meeting: he told her to hand over the cat and the kid. She kicked his brother into a car hood.
Second meeting: he produced a travel-size hand sanitizer on a park bench. She ate a hot dog next to him without blinking.
They're locked to the same bracelet — heart rate spikes, coordinates sync, no override, no opt-out. He's precise, controlled, allergic to chaos. She keeps walking into his life like she owns the square footage. He's never once miscalculated a person. She makes him do it constantly.
He tells her he'll always know where she is. She tells him to keep his heart rate down, then.
Neither of them manages it.
He says he doesn't do feelings. She says she doesn't do roots. The bracelet doesn't care what either of them says.
It just keeps syncing.
Every time.
Chapter 1
HARPER / 2:14 PM / Rusty Creek, Texas
"She is wildly!"
Mrs. Kowalski had been talking for a solid four minutes before she noticed me coming up the dirt path, and in those four minutes I'd heard myself described as a wild animal, a cautionary tale, and—my personal favorite—"a liability to the neighborhood association."
To be fair, she wasn't entirely wrong. Last spring I'd accidentally blown out three streetlights with a homemade EMP test gone sideways, and the spring before that I'd parked a stolen Ducati in her garden bed for six hours while I staked out a mark in Amarillo. But neither of those incidents was technically my fault, and I'd always maintained that position.
The woman she was talking to was young, somewhere in her thirties, with the rigid posture of someone who'd been trained to stand at attention, wearing a black blazer that cost more than Mrs. Kowalski's car. As I got closer I could see two more of them by the gate—men in dark suits, hands clasped in front of them, watching the street with the flat, continuous attention of people who got paid to watch streets.
Beyond the gate, lined along our narrow road like a luxury car dealership had materialized overnight, sat a convoy of vehicles that absolutely did not belong in Rusty Creek: a blacked-out Escalade, two Mercedes S-Class sedans, and something that might have been an Aston Martin, which I was choosing not to think about because it made me angry for reasons I hadn't fully processed yet.
Every neighbor within three houses had found an excuse to be outside. One woman was watering a plant she'd watered forty minutes ago.
An older man sat on his porch with a newspaper he was holding upside down. Four kids on bikes had stopped pedaling entirely and were just standing there, watching me walk toward my own front door like I was the interesting part of this situation and not the small fleet of European automobiles currently blocking our road.
Mrs. Kowalski's voice dropped to a stage whisper as I came within earshot. The woman in the blazer turned, assessed me in approximately two seconds with the expression of someone who had expected slightly more and was recalibrating, and said nothing.
Mrs. Kowalski, who had never once in fifteen years managed to keep her opinions inside her own property line, gave me a look that combined pity, judgment, and the particular satisfaction of someone watching a prediction come true.
I pushed open the gate and walked past all of it without a word, because I had learned a long time ago that the best response to a performance was not giving it an audience.
The inside of our house was warm and smelled like the chamomile tea Grandma Grace made every afternoon at two o'clock whether it was summer or the middle of a Texas heat advisory.
I heard voices before I reached the living room doorway—Grandma's careful, measured cadence, and under it, a lower voice that carried the clipped precision of someone who'd never had to raise it to get what they wanted.
The woman sitting across from my grandmother was in her mid-forties and immaculately assembled, the kind of assembled that required significant money and significant effort and wasn't meant to look like either.
She wore a cream Chanel suit and a diamond tennis bracelet that caught the afternoon light in a way that seemed personally aggressive. Her dark hair was arranged into something architectural.
A Hermès bag—Birkin, 30cm, probably Himalayan given the colorlessness of it, which would put it north of two hundred thousand dollars—sat on the cushion beside her like a guest. She held a teacup that Grandma had clearly brought out from the special cabinet, the one that only came out for occasions.
She turned when I appeared in the doorway, and her expression moved through something fast and complicated before it settled into a thin, deliberate smile.
"Just like they say," she said, in the tone of someone confirming a rumor. "Never home when anyone's looking."
I was in the middle of pulling together a response—I had several available, arranged in order of how much I felt like dealing with the aftermath—when Grandma Grace stood up and crossed the room to take my hand. Her grip was steady and firm, the way it always was, the way it had been since I was seven years old and she'd first taught me that you held on to things with your whole hand or not at all.
"This isValerie Ross," she said quietly. "She's come from New York. She's here about your head, Harper."
The room went still in the particular way it does when the one thing you've been careful not to name out loud gets named.
I'd been good about hiding it. Or I'd thought I had. The headaches I could explain away—stress, dehydration, the kind of ordinary physical complaints that didn't require explanation in a household where we didn't ask too many questions.
The brief episodes where the left side of my vision went white and the world tilted sideways on its axis, I'd scheduled carefully, the same way I scheduled everything: never during a job, never in front of anyone who might report back. But I hadn't counted on Grandma, who had known me for twenty-one years and had spent most of them watching me the way a person watches something they're afraid of losing.
Four months ago, in the Azure Archipelago, I'd gotten what I came for and I'd gotten something I hadn't bargained for: a fragment of something embedded in the occipital region of my skull, pressing against the kind of real estate that made neurosurgeons nervous.
It wasn't a bullet, technically. It was smaller than that and worse in every way that mattered, and I'd done the math on what taking it out myself would cost versus what leaving it in would eventually cost, and the math had not been in my favor on either side.
"I need a moment," I said.
"Harper." Grace's voice carried everything she didn't say.

COLD (Ruthless Player)
“Please… Nick, wait.” He pulled out, thrusted back in. “How much? Twenty thousand? Fifty? Hundred?” With every question, he thrust harder and harder. My neurons are frying with the confusing feeling in my brain. Torn between pleasure, fear, and panic. I couldn't utter a single sentence to save my life.
His cold eyes pinned me in place while he plundered my body with deep thrusts, which only added to my confusion. My dumb body mistook the mixed signals, my pussy becoming even wetter than before.
“I hope she'd paid you well, because I'm going to fuck you all night long, hard,” he growled. “Sleep, then do it all over again. I want to feel you come for me, Andrea, want to feel you squeeze my cock, milking me.
Begging for me to give you the high only I can, I'm going to fucked you until I fuck all my wife's money's worth, I want you to remember how hard I took you while you're meeting her.” I sobbed, moaned, and tried to scramble out under him.
“No, please…Nick, let….let me explain.” Nick abruptly pulled out. His eyes were cold but hooded.
Andrea was sent to take down billionaire magnate Nicklaus Montgomery.
Her mission was simple: get close, seduce him, find the proof, and disappear. Instead Andrea finds herself exposed—cornered into signing a contract that binds her to Nicklaus's side as his lover. Now she’s living in his world of wealth, danger, and secrets… and the deeper she falls into his bed, the harder it becomes to remember what side she's on.
I Found the Babies
"When..." He growled in my ear, "When we will be getting married, I will be your only king, do you get my point? Only one queen, no misters or mistresses. Just me, just you, and yeah, our babies."
I shivered.
Alyssa Reynolds found herself in a situation, while returning home from work, and she had three choices:
Simply walk away and forget that you ever heard the sound of wailing infants.
Call the police and inform them about the innocent wails.
Follow the sounds of the wails and take the matter in your hands, deciding what to do later.
Being a kindhearted soul and a sucker for babies, she found herself choosing the third option, finding the two little lives.
Two little lives that changed her whole life, her love life included. Her life now revolved around the babies as diapers, vomit and shit seemed to surround her.
Just when she thought that now it's just her and the babies, her whole world flipped over and she found herself living under the same roof as the egotistical, obnoxious and hot-as-hell Terence Powers, the business tycoon who was not going to let the woman fend off for herself and the babies alone.
The Unwritten Princess
My name is Mia, and everything I touch is dying.
The flowers beneath my mother's window turned black overnight. The herbs I gathered at dawn rotted in my hands. When the court wizard finally told me the truth—that someone cursed me, that my presence would kill everyone I love—I realized the prophecy everyone believed was never meant to save the kingdom. It was meant to destroy me.
So I ran. Not to fulfill some destiny, but to survive it.
Now I'm traveling with a hunter who lost his companions to the same curse I carry, chasing fragments of a prophecy the Fae sing differently. An elf took a baby from the palace the night I was born. And somewhere between the lies I've been told and the truth I'm hunting, I'm starting to suspect: What if I'm not the princess from the prophecy at all?

The mafia princess return
Vengeance of the Forsaken Luna
"Bella." Ethan's tone shifted, taking on that warning edge I knew too well. "Faye is vulnerable right now. She's terrified you'll resent her, that this will divide the pack. The last thing she wants is for this baby to come between us."
"Then you shouldn't have done it." I met his eyes squarely, letting him see the ice in mine. "Go back to your son."
"For fuck's sake." He dragged a hand through his hair. "How many times—it was artificial insemination. They used my sperm, yes, but Faye and I never—"
Bella let out a cold snort. Such brazen lies. Her mate had an affair with his brother's partner, and his entire family helped force her out with nothing, all to make way for the mistress to take her rightful position. Poor fool—he thought she was just an unwanted adopted daughter, easy to dismiss and control. He never knew the computer genius he'd been searching for was his own Luna.
Since he'd tainted himself, Bella was done. She rejected him and reclaimed what was hers, rising to the top with help from Victor, who'd been secretly in love with her for years.
When Ethan tried winning her back: "You don't want our child growing up fatherless."
Bella smiled mockingly. "The child's father isn't you."
The CEO's Unspoken Love
Before I could answer, he moved closer, suddenly looming over me, his face inches from mine. I felt my breath caught, my lips parting in surprise.
"Then this is the price for speaking ill of me to others," he murmured, nipping my lower lip before claiming my mouth in a real kiss. It began as punishment but quickly transformed into something else entirely as I responded, my initial rigidity melting into compliance, then active participation.
My breathing accelerated, small sounds escaping my throat as he explored my body. His touches were both punishment and pleasure, drawing shudders from me that I thought he felt reverberating through his own body.
My nightgown had ridden up, his hands discovering more of mine with each caress. We were both lost in sensation, rational thought receding with each passing second...
Three years ago, to fulfill the wish of his grandmother, I was forced to marry Derek Wells, the second son of the family that had adopted me for ten years. He didn't love me, but I had secretly loved him all along.
Now, the three-year contractual marriage is about to end, but I feel that some kind of sentiment has developed between Derek and me that neither of us is willing to admit. I'm not sure if my feelings are right, but I know that we can't resist each other physically...
