Alice Tumusiime · Ongoing · 276.5k Words
Introduction
My first mate, Alpha Xavier, didn't just break my heart; he sentenced me to a fate worse than death—to be used as a womb and then killed. I ran into the forbidden forest, bleeding and broken, only to fall into the clutches of someone far worse.
Alpha Kael. The most ruthless killer in the lands.
I thought he was my salvation, my second chance mate. But he looked at me with cold, dead eyes and handed me a loaded gun. "Shoot me, or I kill you right now." I pulled the trigger, but I missed. Now, I am his prisoner, locked in his quarters, waiting for my execution. But why does he look at me with that dark hunger when he thinks I'm asleep?
Chapter 1
AMARA'S POV
Being roused from sleep at an ungodly hour is perhaps the worst feeling to ever experience. A sharp yell and a tight grip brought me back to the surface, expelling the last remnants of a blissful dream. All I could see was darkness, but I heard the frantic movement and the distressed breathing.
"Get up and start doing your chores!" A harsh voice that belonged to our leader yelled in my ear, as she yanked me from my bed.
Without saying any word, I immediately got out of the bed and rushed out of the door
There was no peace in the pack.
Not when you were born as an omega.
By the time, I reached the hallways, they were already alive with movement, muffled murmurs and hurried footsteps echoing off the stone walls. Other omegas were rushing too, their faces tight with exhaustion but they had nothing to do.
Today morning wasn't like the other mornings, that’s why we woke up so early. The Luna from Red Moon Pack was coming.
I had heard whispers of her arrival for weeks, rumors passing from Alpha Xavier to the omegas. Alpha Xavier was so excited and rumors spread that the luna of Red Moon Pack was probably his mate.
Celebrations were hastily arranged, commands shouted from one end of the pack hall to the other, and omegas like me were pulled from sleep before dawn to ensure that every candle was lit, every tapestry straightened, every tray polished to perfection.
I shuffled into the pack dining room to do my chores.
I kept my head down, my shoulders tight, hoping today would pass without incident. But hope was a luxury I could rarely afford.
It was hard to ignore the murmurs and laughter as I walked in the dining hall , as well as curious conversations; the laughter I knew were directed at me. But I ignored them and went on with collecting the dirty dishes from the tables.
I didn’t raise my head even for a moment as I moved from table to table like a ghost. But as I walked a half-eaten piece of toast slid off a plate and hit the floor at my feet. I bent down quickly to scoop it up before anyone could notice, but the sharp bark of a laugh cut through the room instantly.
"Look at her. Scurrying around like a rat." One of the upper class werewolves spoke.
My cheeks flamed, but I kept my gaze down, clutching the dirty plate tighter. It wasn't worth it. It was never worth it. I was used to the humiliation.
However I didn’t even make it three steps out of the dining room before someone grabbed a fistful of my hair and yanked hard. I stumbled back with a gasp, pain sparking across my scalp.
Laughter rang out behind me, cruel and sharp.
"Slut," a male's voice sneered right in my ear. "Bet that's why you’re always crawling around on the floor, huh? Practicing?"
Another yank, harder this time. Tears sprang to my eyes, more from fury than pain.
I clenched my jaw so tightly that it ached. My hands curled into fists at my sides. I was supposed to take it. I always took it.
But today... today, something inside me snapped. I honestly didn’t like being called a slut. I was so innocent and young to be called one.
Before I could think, before I could stop myself, I whirled around. I didn’t even see who it was, just a blur of a smirking face, a hand still tangled in my hair.
I grabbed his wrist and shoved hard.
He stumbled back with a yelp of surprise, crashing into one of the heavy wooden tables. Plates and cups rattled, a few falling and shattering against the stone floor.
The entire dining hall went dead silent. Dozens of eyes snapped to me. Shock. Outrage. A few, lingering amusement.
The male, Carter , I realized distantly, a cocky Gamma’s son who thought he ruled the younger ranks straightened up with a snarl.
"You little bitch," he hissed, lunging for me.
I didn’t retreat.
Something hot and wild was rising in my chest, pounding in my blood, no longer caring about the consequences.
For once, I didn't cower.
For once, I met him head on.
I sidestepped his grab, shoving him again, harder this time, sending him sprawling into a chair.
"My name," I said, my voice shaking but loud enough to carry across the hall, "isn't slut. Or bitch. Or mutt." A low, dangerous growl vibrated in my throat half-human, half-something else.
“She is going to fall in trouble,”
I heard one of the omegas whisper, fear threading her voice. I ignored her. The only thing I could feel was the burning heat inside me, clawing its way out.
Literally.
With a sharp, aching crack, claws pushed through the tips of my fingers, black and glinting under the harsh dining room lights. My hands trembled not with fear, but with rage barely kept in check.
A collective gasp echoed through the room. I could smell it now—
The sudden spike of fear. The sweat. The way their laughter dried up and their bravado cracked.
Carter’s eyes widened. He took a stumbling step back, bumping into another table. For once, he didn’t have a smart comment ready. For once, he realized I wasn’t helpless anymore. Yes, I was an omega but I had my energy because I train everyday.
"You freak," he spat, but his voice wobbled.
"Say that again," I said softly, my voice edged with something not entirely human anymore. My wolf was probably taking control.
The air in the dining hall grew thick and heavy, as if the very walls were holding their breath.
"You of course a slut", He spoke, loudly and l lost it all. A snarl ripped from my throat, a savage and broken sound. My body moved before my mind could catch up, my legs launching me forward.
I slammed into Carter with a force that knocked the breath from his lungs. He toppled backward onto the floor, gasping, scrambling away on his elbows like the coward he was.
But I wasn’t done.
I stalked after him, my claws gleaming, my wolf howling just beneath my skin, furious and wild and free for the first time. I could barely hear the gasps and shouts around me.
Could barely process the footsteps pounding toward us.
I could only see him, his stupid, sneering face. His stupid, cruel mouth. The one that had called me a slut. A mutt. Less than nothing.
"Get away from me!" Carter shrieked, scrambling backward until he slammed into a chair. But I was already there, grabbing the front of his shirt, hauling him up like he weighed nothing. His eyes were huge now, white all around the irises, filled with terror.
"Say it again," I hissed, my breath hot against his face. "I dare you."
He whimpered. Actually whimpered.
“Alpha Xavier will kill you if you kill me..” He coughed out.
“Do you think I give a shit about him?” Well, I did. But I didn’t want to show my weakness. I honestly feared him and he was the last person I wanted to see.
“Who don’t you give a shit about?”, I i’mmediately froze when I heard that voice.
It was the Alpha himself.
Shit! I was dead.
What was he even doing here?
I slowly turned, my heart pounding so loudly it drowned out the distant murmurs and gasps from the pack. But the moment my eyes met with his evergreen eyes, the world seemed to still. My heart stuttered in my chest,
and then...
Mate.
The word echoed through my mind, foreign yet somehow familiar, as if it had always been there, buried under the layers of my existence. My wolf, who had been so silent for so long, roared to life inside me. It was like a spark ignited in the deepest recesses of my soul, a deep connection that made my skin flush, my heart race.
I blinked rapidly, the realization hitting me
No. No, it couldn’t be true. Not him.
Alpha Xavier’s eyes narrowed, watching me carefully, the tension between us thickening with every passing second. I could feel my body trembling, my breath shallow and erratic as the bond tugged at me, desperate for connection.
His lips twisted into a cruel smirk, his gaze scanning me with a coldness that sent a chill down my spine.
"No." His voice was low, but the finality of it hit me like a slap. "You're not my mate and I Xavier Martinez reject you."
The rejection was like a sharp blade to my chest, and for a moment, I couldn’t breathe. My wolf recoiled in pain, howling in agony at his words, the bond severing in an instant, leaving an ache I couldn’t describe.
Xavier’s eyes never left me as he gave a small, dismissive wave toward the pack warriors standing in the doorway.
"Take her to the cells," he ordered, his tone devoid of any compassion. “She needs to be locked up until the ceremony is done",

How Not To Fall For A Dragon
Which is why it was more than a little confusing when a letter arrived with my name already printed on a schedule, a dorm waiting, and classes picked out as if someone knew me better than I knew myself. Everyone knows the Academy, it’s where witches sharpen their spells, shifters master their forms, and every kind of magical creature learns to control their gifts.
Everyone except me.
I don’t even know what I am. No shifting, no magic tricks, nothing. Just a girl surrounded by people who can fly, conjure fire, or heal with a touch. So I sit through classes pretending I belong, and I listen hard for any clue that might tell me what’s hidden in my blood.
The only person more curious than me is Blake Nyvas, tall, golden-eyed, and very much a Dragon. People whisper that he’s dangerous, warn me to keep my distance. But Blake seems determined to solve the mystery of me, and somehow I trust him more than anyone else.
Maybe it’s reckless. Maybe it’s dangerous.
But when everyone else looks at me like I don’t belong, Blake looks at me like I’m a riddle worth solving.

A pack of their own
The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."
New to the world of shifters, Draven is human on the run. A beautiful girl who no one could protect. Domonic is the cold Alpha of the Red Wolf Pack. A brotherhood of twelve wolves that live by twelve rules. Rules which they vowed could NEVER be broken.

But she doesn’t know about the child she’s carrying or that the moment she left, Domonic decided rules were made to be broken - and now will he ever find her again? Will she forgive him?
The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

Accardi
“I thought you said you were done chasing me?” Gen mocked.
“I am done chasing you.”
Before she could formulate a witty remark, Matteo threw her down. She landed hard on her back atop his dining room table. She tried to sit up when she noticed what he was doing. His hands were working on his belt. It came free of his pants with a violent yank. She collapsed back on her elbows, her mouth gaping open at the display. His face was a mask of sheer determination, his eyes were a dark gold swimming with heat and desire. His hands wrapped around her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the table. He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”
“You…” she breathed.

Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.

His eyes darken, flicking to my mouth.
"It's wrong. Your brother would slit my throat for just standing this close. But tell me, little bird" his breath ghosts my skin, "are you trembling because you hate me… or because you've wanted this just as much as I have?"
Wren thought she'd buried the chaos of New Orleans for good—the clubs, the blood-soaked loyalties, the men who lived and died by their kuttes. Seattle gave her everything she ever wanted: freedom, love, a future.

In the chaos of gang wars, mounting debts, and old betrayals, he becomes the one constant. The more she fights him, the harder she falls. And the more he pushes her away, the more lethal his pull becomes.

It's brutal. Bloody.
And it's bound to break them both.
When loyalty is everything and love can cost your life, will Wren risk her heart on the one man she was never meant to love?
