Introduction

"Fuck," he groaned, his control seemingly slipping.

"Yes," she panted, meeting his thrusts with her own urgent rhythm. "Like this, Damien. Harder, deeper."

One night of passion. An unexpected twist of fate. A love that defies all boundaries.

Vivian Sinclair never imagined her last taste of freedom would be so intoxicating. Drowning her sorrows in a nightclub, facing an arranged marriage to save her family, she encounters the irresistible Damien. Their connection is instant, electric, and for one night, Vivi allows herself to forget about tomorrow.

But tomorrow arrives with a shocking revelation. The man who set her heart aflame is now her stepson, and their forbidden attraction threatens to consume them both.

Trapped in a web of family duty and burning desire, Vivi and Damien must navigate the dangerous waters of their undeniable chemistry. Each stolen glance, each secret touch, draws them closer to a love that could unravel everything.

As the lines between right and wrong blur, Vivi and Damien face an impossible choice: honor their family ties or risk it all for a passion that defies societal norms.

I felt his arousal against my thigh, and I rocked my hips, seeking more friction.
His mouth found my breasts, his tongue teasing my nipples to hardened peaks.
My head fell back, my breath coming in sharp gasps as pleasure coursed through me. I wanted him—needed him—with an intensity that surprised me.
Our movements became wilder, more urgent. My hands roamed over his shoulders, back, and hips, my nails digging into his skin. He thrust into me with a sharp cry, filling me completely.

Chapter 1

The pulsing bass reverberated through Vivi's body as she perched on a sleek barstool, her manicured fingers wrapped around a half-empty martini glass. The nightclub's neon lights cast an ethereal glow on her porcelain skin, accentuating the slight flush of her cheeks from one too many drinks.

She signaled the bartender for another, her movements graceful despite her inebriated state. As the fresh cocktail appeared before her, Vivi let out a sardonic chuckle.

"To my impending nuptials," she muttered, raising the glass in a mock toast before taking a generous sip.

The alcohol burned its way down her throat, a sensation she welcomed as a distraction from the thoughts swirling in her mind. In just seven days, she'd be walking down the aisle towards a man old enough to be her father – a stranger whose bank account held more appeal than his personality.

Vivi's gaze swept across the dance floor, taking in the carefree revelers. A twinge of envy tugged at her heart.

"Look at them," she mused, her words slightly slurred. "So young, so free. And here I am, selling myself off like some prized mare."

She downed the rest of her drink in one gulp, grimacing at the bitterness. Or perhaps it was the bitterness of her situation that left such a foul taste in her mouth.

"It's not like I ever found true love anyway," Vivi reasoned with herself. "Just a string of meaningless hookups and fleeting connections. Maybe this is all I'm meant for."

The bartender approached, concern etched on his face. "Everything alright, miss?"

Vivi waved him off with a forced smile. "Just peachy. Living the dream, you know?"

As he retreated, she continued her internal monologue. "At least I'll be set for life. Designer clothes, fancy cars, lavish vacations. Who needs love when you've got a platinum credit card?"

She laughed mirthlessly, the sound lost in the thumping music. The irony wasn't lost on her – she was about to commit her life to a man whose name she didn't even know. Her family had orchestrated the entire affair, presenting it as a noble sacrifice for their financial stability.

"Here's to you, mystery millionaire," Vivi toasted the air. "May your bank account be as robust as your... well, everything else is probably sagging by now."

As Vivi contemplated her impending nuptials, a tall figure slid onto the barstool next to her. She caught a whiff of expensive cologne mingled with leather, drawing her attention away from her self-pity.

"Scotch, neat," a deep voice ordered, cutting through the din of the club.

Vivi glanced sideways, her gaze traveling up a well-fitted designer shirt to meet a pair of intense brown eyes. The stranger's tousled dark hair fell carelessly across his forehead, giving him a roguish charm.

He turned to her, a crooked smile playing on his lips. "I'm Damien. Can I buy you a drink?"

Vivi hesitated for a moment, her eyes roaming over his chiseled features and broad shoulders. Her alcohol-addled mind raced with possibilities. Here was a man who exuded confidence and raw magnetism – everything her future husband likely lacked.

"Why not?" she found herself saying, a mischievous glint in her eye. "I'm Vivian, but you can call me Vivi."

Damien signaled the bartender, ordering another round for both of them. As their drinks arrived, Vivi felt a familiar warmth spreading through her body – and it wasn't just from the alcohol.

She studied him over the rim of her glass, taking in his rugged good looks and the way his shirt hinted at a well-toned physique beneath. A reckless thought formed in her mind: why not indulge in one last fling before she was shackled to a loveless marriage?

"So, Damien," Vivi purred, leaning in closer. "What brings you out tonight?"

His eyes locked onto hers, a spark of interest igniting between them. "Just looking for a little excitement. And I think I might have found it."

Vivi and Damien fell into easy conversation, their glasses clinking as they shared stories and laughter. The club's pulsing music faded into the background, creating a bubble of intimacy around them.

"So, what's your story?" Damien asked, his eyes never leaving Vivi's face.

She swirled the ice in her glass. "Oh, you know, the usual. Family drama, impending marriage to save the family fortune. Nothing exciting."

Damien's eyebrows shot up. "Arranged marriage? In this day and age?"

"Welcome to my world," Vivi said with a wry smile. "What about you? Any family soap operas to share?"

He chuckled, a low, rich sound that sent a shiver down her spine. "As a matter of fact, yeah. My dad just divorced my mom and is about to marry someone else. Some young thing, apparently."

"Sounds like we're both caught in family webs," Vivi mused, leaning closer.

Their eyes met, a charged moment passing between them. Vivi felt her breath catch in her throat as she noticed the flecks of gold in Damien's brown eyes.

Damien's gaze dropped to her lips, then back up. "You know, it's funny. Here we are, both about to be tied down, and yet..."

"And yet?" Vivi prompted, her voice barely above a whisper.

He leaned in, his breath warm against her ear. "And yet, I've never felt more drawn to someone in my life."

Vivi pulled back slightly, meeting his intense gaze. The air between them crackled with tension and possibility.

Damien's hand found hers on the bar, his thumb tracing small circles on her skin. "Do you want to get out of here?" he asked, his voice low and husky.

Vivi felt her heart race, a mix of excitement and trepidation coursing through her veins. She knew she should say no, that this was reckless and potentially disastrous. But the heat in Damien's eyes and the promise of one last night of freedom before her loveless marriage proved too tempting.

Damien must have sensed her hesitation. He leaned in closer, his lips almost brushing her ear. "Do you want to come to my place?"

On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...

Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.

George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.

His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"

Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.

When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.

"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"

George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"

"I'm afraid that's impossible."

Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."
