And what will she do when she miraculously finds herself pregnant, but doesn't know who the father is.

As two powerful men battle over her, Ivonne is forced to survive her tumultuous new life, even as old wounds resurface, new enemies appear and deadly secrets emerge.

Will Ivonne find happiness with the man she’s grown to love, or will her past destroy her once and for all?

Chapter 1

Ivonne POV.

“I'm very sorry to disturb you, Alpha sir, but we just rushed the Luna to the hospital right now.” I heard our chief maid, Lora, tell my husband on the phone. She thought I was sleeping, but her speaker was loud and I could hear everything they were saying.

“Is she dead?” I heard Lincoln ask, as a woman’s voice giggled in his background.

My maid gasped in horror. “No sir! Why would you say such a thing—“

“Then why the hell are you calling me?!” Lincoln snapped back angrily and the woman in the background laughed louder. I knew that woman’s voice. It was Alison, my husband’s girlfriend. The one he was sleeping with.

“I don't have time for that useless woman's games, and I'm not interested in anything that has to do with any daughter of a disgusting rogue, but if she dies, please let me know, so I can finally celebrate my freedom. Goodbye!” Lincoln snapped before rudely cutting the call.

I pretended to wake up and turned to Lora. “Was that Lincoln? What did he say?” I asked.

Lora immediately put on a fake smile as she turned to me. “Alpha said that you should rest well and focus on healing. He can’t wait for you to come home!” Lora lied.

“But what about the medical bill?” I asked. “You know I don’t have the money—“

“Oh .. that. Don’t worry ma’am, Alpha said he will take care of it.” Lora smiled uneasily.

Now I knew 100% that Lora was lying. My husband Alpha Lincoln was the wealthy heir to the largest pack in the region but he already made it absolutely clear that he would never ever waste a precious penny on me if it wasn’t for my burial. But I still returned Lora’s fake smile because there was nothing else I could do.

I knew what was going to happen now. Lora and the rest of my servants would scrape up their measly savings and pay for my hospital bills because they pitied me.

This had been happening for the last three years of my marriage, If an emergency came up, our poor staff always sacrificed themselves to care for me, because everyone knew that Alpha Lincoln couldn’t care less what happened to me.

Actually, Lincoln hoped I would die so that he could finally be free from this marriage that our fated mate bond had forced him into. 3 years ago, Alpha Lincoln discovered that I was his fated mate, and since his girlfriend had just recently dumped him, his father encouraged him to marry me and he agreed.

But I had a secret no one knew. A shameful one.

The truth was that even though I had to marry Alpha Lincoln because we were fated mates…. I was already in love with him for many years before that. In fact, I had been foolishly and hopelessly, in love with Lincoln for every day of the last 11 years of my life.

From the day I saw him when I was just 12, I had dreamt of being with him forever. So when we discovered we were fated mates and Lincoln asked me to marry him, I had screamed yes!

But that was the worst mistake of my life, because whatever love Lincoln had for me, vanished the very second that his ex girlfriend Alison walked back into his life.

At first my marriage to Lincoln was beautiful, and Lincoln was everything I had imagined he would be.

I willingly surrendered everything to him. My life, my body, my soul. I gave him everything.

But just one year into our marriage, everything turned into a nightmare.

Out of nowhere, Alison — his ex girlfriend who left him for a richer Alpha--suddenly showed up to his office with an apology and a request to get back together with him.

I lost my husband that day, because the moment Lincoln set his eyes on her, he never looked away. And I had to watch as the only man I had ever loved, fell in love with another woman.

I was pregnant at that time, so I struggled to hold on to Lincoln, but then something tragic happened.

I lost our child… I lost Lincoln’s child that I was carrying in my womb.

I don’t know how it happened, but I somehow accidentally slipped down the stairs and the fall was so bad that I lost our child.

I and Lincoln mourned our child, but Lincoln blamed me for our baby’s death.

Then the doctor told us that I would never be able to have another child again, and from that moment on, Lincoln hated me with a passion that I could never describe.

“Mrs Ivonne,” Lora called, snapping me out of my thoughts. “Your mother is asking to see you.”

I froze. “She knows I’m here? You told her I was admitted?!” I snapped.

“No ma’am, Doctor Kyle told her.” Lora revealed and I sighed.

“Why would he do that?! It’s nothing serious, just a little stress and dehydration!” I snapped irritably.

I never wanted my mother to know I was ill. It would only make her worried and make her heart condition get worse.

Her heart was already so weak that she was permanently hospitalized now. Keeping her alive was a daily battle at this point so I didn’t want anything to make it worse.

“And also ma’am.” Lora said hesitantly. “The hospital threatened to stop her treatment if we can’t pay her outstanding bills in two days. They already removed her oxygen ma’am.”

I felt my heart clench painfully at her words. My mom was dying and constantly in pain. If the hospital refused to treat her anymore, the only mom I had would die a very painful death. And it would all be because I, her daughter couldn’t afford to pay her medical bills.

Lincoln had stopped me from pursuing my career because he wanted me to focus on our kids, but after our child died and Alison returned, he completely stopped giving me any money at all.

Now I didn’t have a penny to pay for my mother’s bills. I was a failure and a disappointment. I wish I was the one dying in her place instead.

I slowly nodded, and allowed Lora put me in my wheelchair before pushing me to my mother’s room.

“Mom,” I greeted with tears in my eyes when I saw her.

She was so pale, so thin and sickly looking. Large chunks of her hair had fallen off and she looked nothing like the bubbly woman who used to hug and kiss me all my life.

I needed my mother to live! She was all I had left. She was the only reason I had to stay alive.

If she died, I would die too. And that’s why I desperately needed the money to save her. I had begged Lincoln a thousand times to help us, but he had kicked me out each time.

I begged everyone I knew, family, pack members, friends, relatives, but they all turned their back on us, just because my father was a rogue.

It was public knowledge to everyone that my father had become a rogue after I was born, and because of that, everyone started avoiding us like we were a disgusting disease.

We were no longer invited to gatherings, no one answered our calls, and when they saw us on the street, they pretended to not know us.

That’s one of the reasons why I refused to give up on my marriage with Alpha Lincoln, because I loved him and he was the only one powerful enough to help us.

After spending some time comforting my dying mum, I wiped my tears and went back to my room. I had sacrificed everything for my marriage to Lincoln but now I had to sacrifice everything for my mum.

I knew what I had to do. I would go back and beg my husband to help me. I would crawl on my knees and even roll on the floor if he wanted.

I would do anything, anything to save my mom.

I picked up my phone and dialed his number, I needed to know if he was going to be home tonight.

The call was picked up in two seconds, which immediately stunned me because Lincoln barely ever picked my calls... Like ever!

“Hello Ivy.” A female voice answered and I froze. It was Alison. “Linc is in bed, I think I may have tired him out. Would you like to leave a message?”
