Sashi Park · Completed · 118.8k Words
Introduction
Kris' happy married life turned out to be a nightmare. Her fairytale-like love story with Liam began to exist to be just a fiction story. She’s tired of abusive love. Her body couldn’t no longer want to be with her abusive husband.
So, she quit being Liam's wife.
As Kris chose to escape and pretend to be someone else, the new phase of her life has begun. 'Cause in her return, the recipient of her revenge should expect a lot from the comeback of the battered.
Chapter 1
BAGUIO City is where we got engaged. During Christmas day, Liam surprised my innocent face by kneeling down to me, showing a small box and a shining, shimmering small, silver diamond ring as if he was asking me to be the woman of his everyday life.
And I said yes.
"I don't find any reason to refuse you, honey," I cried as I watched him happily put the ring on my ring finger.
That day was the second to the best day of my life, next to my marriage day, of course. During our eight years of sharing love, it's fun to think that he finally asked me to get married.
"You don't know how much you make me happy." He cupped my face as his eyes were getting teary. "I won't let you regret accepting my proposal, Kris."
As he stood up to meet my face, I grabbed his neck and kissed his lips. Just for a moment of time, in return of showing how he made me delighted by his surprise. But because we both enjoyed the kiss that I led, I could feel his finger getting inside my blouse. He was now trying to unbutton my bralette when I stopped him.
I gently pushed him away from me, and then I smiled. "Not too soon, Liam. Let's just do it on our honeymoon, shall we?"
"Then, stop seducing your future husband. You know I can easily be attracted to you with just a simple kiss," he said with a laugh before putting his arms around me and we started to walk away from the place I thought we were just going to visit, yet it turned out to be the proposal venue Liam made.
I still can't get over it. Upon looking at my finger wearing that glamorous, exorbitant ring, I couldn't control myself smiling expansively. I still can't believe this is really happening right now. It's still beyond my belief that this scenario is happening over and over again only in my dreams.
If this was just a dream, I won't really wake up anymore.
AND the day of our wedding has come. People are looking so happy watching Liam and I exchange vows at each other. The decorations of the church scream extravagant and the wedding gown I'm wearing is a bit heavy but looks natural and elegant.
Everything seemed perfect on the day we were exchanging our promises with each other.
"To Kirsten Angeline Bargamento, I am pleased to accept you as my wife. There hasn't been a day since we started dating that I haven't thought about and dreamed of you being my wife. That's how much I love you, honey."
"The day I proposed to you, I felt like I was going to have a heart attack while waiting for your answer. I thought then that waiting for you for eight years is still not enough for you to be ready to be my wife."
"But as you said yes to me, I think I was the happiest man in the whole world that day. I'm on top of the world the moment I heard from your mouth the word I wanted to hear."
"And as we stand here, in front of the creator of the world, I promise with all my heart that I will take care of you and love you until my heart is not tired of beating, and until my lungs are not tired of breathing."
"You're now my everything, Kirsten. It's just you and a dozen of our children that you promised me you'd give me," he muttered in between laughs. "I promise you a good life, a healthy living and a happy family, Kris. I don't want to promise you a nice house, a nice car, or nice bags and clothes. All those material things are nothing but bring people short- term happiness."
"What I wanted to promise is to give you the life that you deserve. In return for loving me, I will always love you until my last breath. I will love you even after life, honey." He smiled at me as I noticed his hold becoming tight.
"Together we will fight every tomorrow that comes. And I promise you that I will never hurt you… I will never make you cry. A woman like you should only shed tears of joy, not sadness. I will water you with only happiness, so you will grow to be a wildest flower."
And as our vows finished coming out in our mouths, the father's permission to the groom to kiss his bride has been given.
THIS moment of us touching each other's lips are the best memories I always remember in my everyday's misery. At least with just a memory, I once had been given a chance to be happy and to enjoy the day of my wedding... before my almost heaven-sent angel husband became a barbaric devil that I could no longer recognize.
"What the hell is this, Kris?!" My husband came to me and lifted me up from my slump on the floor by pinching my cheeks. "Don't you know how much those Chinese herbs cost just to get you pregnant? So what? You're just going to waste it instead of taking it? Are you crazy?!"
"G-Give up, Liam," I stammered. Another factor is that he squeezes my cheek so I can't speak properly. "N-No matter what you do, I-I can't really give you a child..." Tears rolled down my cheeks one after another.
It's a good thing that Liam pushed me away from him, somehow I can breathe easier.
"I have a lot of money. I'm ready to spend all my money just so you can give birth to a child. You just have to follow me." He came closer to me again so I backed away so scared, but he still managed to reach me and gently caressed my cheek. "Just please, honey. Don't do anything I don't like so I don't add more bruises to your body. Be a good wife to me, hmm?"
My face was so shaking when he kissed me on the cheek. And after saying his last words to me, he left the room. He locked me in this dark room again, which was about to look like a warehouse.
I gasped as I backed away from the table, I didn't know that there was a broken glass behind me. And that was our picture frame when Liam and I got married. It was now cracked... and so the love I had with him was damaged starting on the day he locked me in this place.
"He said he wouldn't hurt me... he wouldn't make me cry. But, what happened now? Where are his promises?"
I sat shaking while crying and took a look from the broken picture frame. I'm tired of living this fvcking life. Can I just die?

The Biker's Fate
I squeezed my eyes shut.
"Dani," he pressed. "Do you get me?"
"No, Austin, I don't," I admitted as I pulled my robe closed again and sat up. "You confuse me."
He dragged his hands down his face. "Tell me what's on your mind."
I sighed. "You're everything my parents warned me against. You're secretive, but you're also honest. I feel wholly protected by you, but then you scare me more than anyone I've ever known. You're a bad boy, but when I dated a so-called good one, he turned out to be the devil, so, yeah, I don't get you because you're not what I expected. You drive me crazier than anyone I've ever met, but then you make me feel complete. I'm feeling things I don't quite know how to process and that makes me want to run. I don't want to give up something that might be really, really good, but I also don't want to be stupid and fall for a boy just because he's super pretty and makes me come."

Heartbroken, Sable discovered Darrell having sex with his ex in their bed, while secretly transferring hundreds of thousands to support that woman.
Even worse was overhearing Darrell laugh to his friends: "She's useful—obedient, doesn't cause trouble, handles housework, and I can fuck her whenever I need relief. She's basically a live-in maid with benefits." He made crude thrusting gestures, sending his friends into laughter.
In despair, Sable left, reclaimed her true identity, and married her childhood neighbor—Lycan King Caelan, nine years her senior and her fated mate. Now Darrell desperately tries to win her back. How will her revenge unfold?

We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.
And then, just as quickly… he sees me.
His expression twists.
"Fuck no."
He turns—and runs.

I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
The War God Alpha's Arranged Bride
Yet Alexander made his decision clear to the world: “Evelyn is the only woman I will ever marry.”
Invisible To Her Bully
My Possessive Alpha Twins For Mate
My drunk stepfather remained indifferent, his weight suffocating, making it hard to breathe as my heart raced.
Suddenly, the door slammed open, and two figures burst in.
"Get off her!" a deafening roar echoed.
I didn't expect the twin brothers who'd bullied me at school to come charging in like gods to save me.
After my grandmother passed, I had to move in with my mom and stepdad, who treated me like a servant. I prayed every day for my 18th birthday to come, so l could leave and escape this broken home.
However, on my first day at my new school, l encountered the legendary twins everyone feared.
To make matters worse, the Moon Goddess revealed they were both my mates!
After helping me out with my stepdad, my twin mate cornered me, played with my hair, and whispered possessively, "You belong to us, our little mate..."
The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."
New to the world of shifters, Draven is human on the run. A beautiful girl who no one could protect. Domonic is the cold Alpha of the Red Wolf Pack. A brotherhood of twelve wolves that live by twelve rules. Rules which they vowed could NEVER be broken.
Especially - Rule Number One - No Mates
When Draven meets Domonic, he knows that she is his mate, but Draven has no idea what a mate is, only that she has fallen in love with a shifter. An Alpha that will break her heart to make her leave. Promising herself, she will never forgive him, she disappears.
But she doesn’t know about the child she’s carrying or that the moment she left, Domonic decided rules were made to be broken - and now will he ever find her again? Will she forgive him?
The Biker Alpha Who Became My Second Chance Mate
"You're like a sister to me."
Those were the actual words that broke the camel's back.
Not after what just happened. Not after the hot, breathless, soul-shaking night we spent tangled in each other's arms.
I knew from the beginning that Tristan Hayes was a line I shouldn't cross.
He wasn't just anyone, he was my brother's best friend. The man I spent years secretly wanting.
But that night... we were broken. We had just buried our parents. And the grief was too heavy, too real...so I begged him to touch me.
To make me forget. To fill the silence that death left behind.
And he did. He held me like I was something fragile.
Kissed me like I was the only thing he needed to breathe.
Then left me bleeding with six words that burned deeper than rejection ever could.
So, I ran. Away from everything that cost me pain.
Now, five years later, I'm back.
Fresh from rejecting the mate who abused me. Still carrying the scars of a pup I never got to hold.
And the man waiting for me at the airport isn't my brother.
It's Tristan.
And he's not the guy I left behind.
He's a biker.
An Alpha.
And when he looked at me, I knew there was no where else to run to.
Falling for my boyfriend's Navy brother
"What is wrong with me?
Why does being near him make my skin feel too tight, like I’m wearing a sweater two sizes too small?
It’s just newness, I tell myself firmly.
He’s my boyfirend’s brother.
This is Tyler’s family.
I’m not going to let one cold stare undo that.

As a ballet dancer, My life looks perfect—scholarship, starring role, sweet boyfriend Tyler. Until Tyler shows his true colors and his older brother, Asher, comes home.
Asher is a Navy veteran with battle scars and zero patience. He calls me "princess" like it's an insult. I can't stand him.
When My ankle injury forces her to recover at the family lake house, I‘m stuck with both brothers. What starts as mutual hatred slowly turns into something forbidden.
I'm falling for my boyfriend's brother.
**
I hate girls like her.
Entitled.
Delicate.
And still—
Still.
The image of her standing in the doorway, clutching her cardigan tighter around her narrow shoulders, trying to smile through the awkwardness, won’t leave me.
Neither does the memory of Tyler. Leaving her here without a second thought.
I shouldn’t care.
I don’t care.
It’s not my problem if Tyler’s an idiot.
It’s not my business if some spoiled little princess has to walk home in the dark.
I’m not here to rescue anyone.
Especially not her.
Especially not someone like her.
She’s not my problem.
And I’ll make damn sure she never becomes one.
But when my eyes fell on her lips, I wanted her to be mine.
