When the Succubus Turns Heartless
Fiona · Completed · 6.6k Words
Introduction
This time, as always, I found traces of him through my sister Shu Lan's Moments.
[Heat season is here again~ Luckily, someone's been guarding me nonstop for seven days straight.]
The accompanying photo showed Shen Yunxiao kneeling on one knee, his head bowed, kissing the top of her foot in profile.
Unlike the past, I didn't yell or cause a scene. I just liked the post.
I'm a succubus. Since birth, I've been bound to Shen Yunxiao.
So, my succubus heat periods could only be resolved through him.
But he never gave me a second glance, never cared about any of my needs.
Even during my most severe heats, he'd still sit there in his suit, watching me curl up on the floor, trembling.
He knew that a bound succubus could only be loyal to one person.
I used to think he was naturally disdainful of succubi. But when I saw the tenderness in his eyes as he helped my sister Shu Lan through her heat...
That's when I knew. He wasn't disdainful of succubi. He was disdainful of me.
Convinced I couldn't leave him, he brazenly went on every date with Shu Lan.
But he didn't know that surviving one hundred heat periods on my own was the deadline I'd set for myself.
He also didn't know that by binding myself to a top-tier succubus, I could sever my connection to him, a mere human.
So, this was the last chance I was giving Shen Yunxiao.
Chapter 1
This is the ninety-ninth time Dominic Sinclair has disappeared during my heat cycle.
Once again, I found traces of him on my sister Olivia Summers' Twitter.
[Heat cycle is here again, thankfully he's been by my side protecting me for seven days straight]
The photo showed Dominic kneeling on one knee, his profile captured as he lowered his head to kiss the back of her foot.
I didn't throw a fit like I used to. Instead, I just liked the post.
I'm a succubus, bound to Dominic since birth.
So only he can help me through my heat cycles.
But he never spares me a glance, never cares about any of my needs.
Even during my worst heat cycles, he'd sit there in his suit, watching me curl up on the floor trembling.
Because he knows that once bound, a succubus can only be loyal to him.
I used to think he looked down on all succubi, but when I saw him tenderly helping Olivia through her heat cycle, I realized—he just looks down on me.
He's convinced I can't leave him, so he doesn't bother hiding his dates with Olivia.
But he doesn't know that surviving one hundred heat cycles alone is the deadline I set for myself.
He also doesn't know that as long as I bind with a top-tier succubus, I can break free from him, a mere human.
So this is the last chance I'm giving Dominic.
Chapter 1
Olivia's message showed a location at Dominic's usual private club.
I used to come here often too.
Every time I saw them together, I'd make a scene.
But not this time.
The private room door wasn't fully closed. Inside, I could hear Olivia's soft voice, "Dominic, I heard you used your power again to fend off those succubi pestering me. I'm worried about you."
As she spoke, Olivia reached out to touch Dominic's face, but he turned his head away.
His voice was full of restraint, with a tenderness I'd never heard before, "My hands carry the scent of other succubi. Don't dirty your hands."
Through the crack in the door, I saw marks on the back of his hand from fighting with succubi.
But he never used even a fraction of his power for me, even when I was dying from the pain of my heat cycle.
Olivia didn't care. She stood on her tiptoes and kissed his lips directly, her voice sweet, "I don't care. I want to kiss you right now."
The kiss made Dominic's eyes gradually turn red.
He lowered his head and kissed Olivia fiercely. The sounds of their entanglement filled the room.
I didn't listen or watch anymore. I turned around and left in my car.
I thought I'd be heartbroken, but my steps were steady.
There was just numbness left in my heart.
Many memories from the past came flooding back.
I remember during my first heat cycle, unable to bear it, I clung to Dominic in my confused state.
When he woke up, his eyes were full of impatience, "Who said you could get on my bed? Get off!"
I begged him, begged him to sleep with me.
But he tied me to the corner of the bed and watched me coldly, "How pathetic."
Every time after that, he'd just frown and coldly say "Don't bother me" before turning and leaving.
I endured the discomfort and pain of heat cycles again and again.
Each time felt like it took half my life.
Dominic knew this clearly, but he never wavered even a bit for me.
I was afraid of the dark and thunder, begged him to stay with me, but only got his scolding in return.
When I had a fever and passed out, he only had the butler handle it, never came to see me himself.
Back then, driven by the instinct of being bound, I could only follow behind him humbly, eyes red, begging him not to abandon me.
I thought if I was obedient enough, I could eventually warm his heart.
But all these years, he never hid his coldness toward me.
Only today did I understand—his tenderness was never meant for me.
I'm just a burden bound to him.
Suddenly, my car shook.
Then came violent shaking. A large truck beside me lost control and crashed into me. The entire car flipped over instantly.
I felt dizzy all over, trapped under the seat, unable to break free.
In desperation, I called Dominic.
The call connected. Through the phone came sounds of intimate moaning, "Dominic, be gentler."
Then came Dominic's indulgent whisper to Olivia, "Can't handle it already?"
The call was hung up immediately.

I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
The Forbidden Throb
Mine changed in the time it took to open a door.
Behind it: my fiancé Nicholas with another woman.
Three months until our wedding. Three seconds to watch it all burn.
I should have run. Should have screamed. Should have done anything except stand there like a fool.
Instead, I heard the devil himself whisper in my ear:
"If you're willing, I could marry you."
Daniel. The brother I was warned about. The one who made Nicholas look like a choir boy.
He leaned against the wall, watching my world implode.
My pulse thundered. "What?"
"You heard me." His eyes burned into mine. "Marry me, Emma."
But as I stared into those magnetic eyes, I realized something terrifying:
I wanted to say yes to him.
Game on.
The Biker Alpha Who Became My Second Chance Mate
"You're like a sister to me."
Those were the actual words that broke the camel's back.
Not after what just happened. Not after the hot, breathless, soul-shaking night we spent tangled in each other's arms.
I knew from the beginning that Tristan Hayes was a line I shouldn't cross.
He wasn't just anyone, he was my brother's best friend. The man I spent years secretly wanting.
But that night... we were broken. We had just buried our parents. And the grief was too heavy, too real...so I begged him to touch me.
To make me forget. To fill the silence that death left behind.
And he did. He held me like I was something fragile.
Kissed me like I was the only thing he needed to breathe.
Then left me bleeding with six words that burned deeper than rejection ever could.
So, I ran. Away from everything that cost me pain.
Now, five years later, I'm back.
Fresh from rejecting the mate who abused me. Still carrying the scars of a pup I never got to hold.
And the man waiting for me at the airport isn't my brother.
It's Tristan.
And he's not the guy I left behind.
He's a biker.
An Alpha.
And when he looked at me, I knew there was no where else to run to.
The mafia princess return
Accidentally Crossing the Tycoon
Four years ago, the Bailey family faced a devastating financial crisis.
Just when bankruptcy seemed inevitable, a mysterious benefactor emerged, offering salvation with one condition: a contract marriage.
Rumors swirled about this enigmatic man—whispers claimed he was hideously ugly and too ashamed to show his face, possibly harboring dark, twisted obsessions.
Without hesitation, the Baileys sacrificed me to protect their precious biological daughter, forcing me to take her place as a pawn in this cold, calculated arrangement.
Luckily, in those four years, the mysterious husband never asked to meet in person.
Now, in the final year of our arrangement, the husband I've never met is demanding we meet face to face.
But disaster struck the night before my return—drunk and disoriented, I stumbled into the wrong hotel room and ended up sleeping with the legendary financial mogul, Caspar Thornton.
What the hell am I supposed to do now?
The Biker's Fate
I squeezed my eyes shut.
"Dani," he pressed. "Do you get me?"
"No, Austin, I don't," I admitted as I pulled my robe closed again and sat up. "You confuse me."
He dragged his hands down his face. "Tell me what's on your mind."
I sighed. "You're everything my parents warned me against. You're secretive, but you're also honest. I feel wholly protected by you, but then you scare me more than anyone I've ever known. You're a bad boy, but when I dated a so-called good one, he turned out to be the devil, so, yeah, I don't get you because you're not what I expected. You drive me crazier than anyone I've ever met, but then you make me feel complete. I'm feeling things I don't quite know how to process and that makes me want to run. I don't want to give up something that might be really, really good, but I also don't want to be stupid and fall for a boy just because he's super pretty and makes me come."

so close,
his hands reached for my face, and he pressed his body against mine.

His tongue left me breathless.

Triplet Alpha: My Fated Mates
"No." "I'm fine."
"Fuck," he breathes. "You're—"
"Don't." My voice cracks. "Please don't say it."
"Aroused." He says it anyway. "You're aroused."
"I'm not—"
"Your scent." His nostrils flare. "Kara, you smell like—"
"Stop." I cover my face with my hands. "Just—stop."
Then his hand on my wrist, pulling my hands away.
"There's nothing wrong with wanting us," he says softly. "It's natural. You're our mate. We're yours."
"I know." My voice is barely a whisper.
I spent ten years as a ghost in the Sterling mansion—a debt slave to the triplet Alphas who made my life hell. They called me "Carrot," shoved me into frozen rivers, and left me to die in the snow when I was eleven.
On my eighteenth birthday, everything changed. My first shift released a scent of white musk and first snow—and three former tormentors stood outside my door, claiming I was their fated mate. All three of them.
Overnight, the debt vanished. Asher's commands turned to vows, Blake's fists became trembling apologies, and Cole swore they'd been waiting for me all along. They declared me their Luna and promised to spend their lives atoning.
My wolf howls to accept them. But one question haunts me:
Would that eleven-year-old girl, freezing and certain she would die, forgive the choice I'm about to make?
