Whispers of Willow Creek
Cristina Dinca · Ongoing · 54.8k Words
Introduction
New towns. New schools. New beginnings that never last.
Her parents have always kept secrets, moving from place to place without explanation, refusing to answer the questions that haunt her. When they arrive in the quiet town of Willow Creek, Ivy expects another temporary stop before the next escape.
Instead, she finds a town that feels strangely familiar.
At Willow Creek High, she quickly attracts attention—especially from Kael Solaris, the mysterious son of the Alpha. Feared, respected, and impossible to ignore, Kael has never questioned his place in the pack. But the moment he sees Ivy, something deep within him awakens. An instinct he can’t explain. A pull he can’t resist.
The problem?
Ivy doesn’t have a wolf.
At least, she shouldn’t.
As whispers spread through the pack and old secrets begin to surface, Ivy discovers that Willow Creek is hiding far more than small-town drama. The wolves seem to recognize her. The forest reacts to her presence. And the truth her parents have spent years protecting may be far more dangerous than she ever imagined.
With a jealous rival determined to keep her away from Kael, growing tensions within the pack, and mysterious abilities beginning to emerge, Ivy finds herself caught in a world she was never supposed to remember.
But some secrets refuse to stay buried.
And some bonds were forged long before either of them were born.
In a town built on lies, one forgotten girl may hold the key to a past powerful enough to change everything.
Chapter 1
Ivy Sinclair (POV)
The road signs started to repeat after a while.
That was how I knew we were getting close.
My father always did that thing where he gripped the steering wheel a little tighter when we were almost there. Not enough for anyone else to notice, but I always noticed. He did it in every town, every move, every “fresh start” we were supposed to believe in.
My mother sat beside him, perfectly still, like she was afraid even breathing too loudly might wake something up.
I pressed my forehead against the window.
“Willow Creek,” I read quietly.
The name didn’t mean anything to me.
It should’ve.
But it didn’t.
“We’re safe here,” my father said finally.
His voice was calm. Too calm. The kind of calm that only comes when someone has repeated the same lie so many times it stops sounding like a lie.
My mother didn’t look at me when she added, “This is the last time.”
I almost laughed at that.
They said that before.
Every time.
The car turned off the main road, and the trees started closing in closer on both sides. Thick forest, dark green and endless, like the town had grown out of it instead of the other way around.
Something about it made my chest feel tight.
Not fear exactly.
More like… recognition I didn’t understand.
The house appeared slowly through the trees.
Old, but not abandoned. Large enough to feel intentional. Like it had been waiting for someone to come back, not for someone to arrive.
I leaned forward slightly.
“This is it?” I asked.
My father nodded once. “It’s… one of the safer areas.”
Safer.
That word again.
I used to think “safe” meant normal things—locked doors, good neighborhoods, not crossing streets alone at night. But in our world, it meant something different. It meant staying ahead of something I was never allowed to understand.
The car stopped.
For a moment, nobody moved.
Then my father exhaled slowly. “We’re here.”
Home.
I stepped out first.
The air hit me immediately—cold, sharp, too clean in a way that didn’t feel natural. The kind of air that doesn’t belong to people.
The house creaked softly as the wind passed through it.
I looked around.
Forest behind us. Empty road in front. No neighbors close enough to matter.
Isolation disguised as peace.
My mother opened the trunk and started pulling out bags like this was normal. Like this was just another chapter in a life that made sense.
“I’ll take your things upstairs,” she said.
I grabbed my own bag before she could.
“I can do it.”
She hesitated, then nodded.
Inside, the house smelled like old wood and something faintly metallic—like forgotten memories.
The floorboards were uneven under my steps. Every sound echoed a little too long.
Upstairs, I picked a room without asking. There wasn’t much point in choosing carefully anymore. We never stayed long enough for rooms to become mine.
I set my bag down.
Through the window, I could see the edge of the forest clearly.
Too close.
Like it was watching the house instead of surrounding it.
A knock came at my door.
My father.
“Can I come in?”
I didn’t answer, but I didn’t say no either.
He stepped inside anyway.
He looked different here. Less like a man who was always running, more like someone returning to something unfinished.
“This place… it’s important,” he said carefully.
I crossed my arms. “You said that about the last three places.”
He didn’t deny it.
That silence again.
The one that meant I was not supposed to ask further.
But I was tired of not asking.
“Why do we keep moving?” I said. “What are we running from?”
His jaw tightened.
For a second, I thought he wouldn’t answer.
Then he said, “Not from. Away from.”
“That’s not an answer.”
“It is,” he said quietly.
Another silence stretched between us.
I looked away first.
Outside, a wind moved through the trees again, stronger this time. The branches shifted like something massive had passed through them.
My father noticed my gaze.
His voice lowered. “You don’t need to worry here.”
I let out a short breath. “You always say that.”
“This time is different.”
I looked back at him.
He was serious. Not the fake kind of serious adults use to end conversations.
Real serious.
That unsettled me more than anything else.
“Why?” I asked.
He hesitated.
Then, carefully, like he was choosing each word to avoid breaking something fragile:
“Because the people here… I trust them.”
That was new.
I blinked. “You trust someone?”
A faint, almost tired expression crossed his face.
“Yes.”
Before I could ask who, my mother appeared in the doorway.
“We should unpack,” she said quickly, too quickly.
The conversation ended like that.
Cut off. Buried.
But not gone.
That night, I couldn’t sleep again.
Of course I couldn’t.
The house was too quiet in a way that felt intentional. Even the forest outside seemed quieter, like it was waiting for something to start.
I lay in bed staring at the ceiling.
And for the first time in a long time…
I wondered if maybe this place wasn’t just another stop.
Maybe it was the place they had been trying to reach all along.
And I didn’t know if that made me feel safer.
Or more afraid than ever.

The Contract Wife: Marriage Of Malice
He didn't finish. He didn't need to.
I didn't tell him to stop.
Instead, my fingers curled into his shirt, clutching the fabric as though it was my only anchor. Something in him snapped—something he had been holding back for too long. His mouth found mine in a kiss that wasn't tender, but hungry, desperate.
I gasped into him, his hand sliding up to cup my jaw, holding me as if afraid I might vanish.
"You drive me insane," he breathed against my mouth, his lips trailing to my throat. "I can't lose you, Ella. Not you."
My head fell back, a soft sound escaping me as his fingers memorized my waist. My anger melted beneath his desperation.
"James..." I whispered, more plea than protest.
His hand caught mine, fingers threading together tightly. "I'll bring him back. I swear it. Just... don't turn away from me. Please."
The word please—low, ragged, almost broken—undid me more than anything else could have.

From Sacrificed Slave to the Dragon King's Obsession
His fangs glinted as he gripped my chin, forcing me to meet his gaze. Dragon scales shimmered along his neck, breath scorching my skin.
"Your Majesty... I beg—" He shoved me onto the bed. Silk tore with a sharp rip, cold air rushing over my exposed body.
"Scared?" He smirked, palm sliding down my waist, fingers tracing slow, burning circles. "Yet you shiver... not from cold."
I lunged for the candlestick, but he caught my wrist, pinning it overhead. His knee forced my legs apart.
"When your father gave you to me," his lips brushed my ear, voice a dark rumble, "you were already mine."
On the eve of freedom after ten years of servitude, Lina Valeria stood one night away from reuniting with her betrothed. But Dragon King Augustus condemned her to the Abyss Mines on false charges—a trap forged from obsessive desire.
Augustus Ashenwing, Supreme Sovereign of Skyhold Citadel, is ruthless and feared by all races. His obsession stems from ancient grudges and dragonkind's most dangerous instinct: possessive desire. He demands her submission, binding her to his throne as his consort.
From prisoner to queen, Lina battles him through court intrigue and twisted passion—fighting for her mother, her freedom, her dignity.
Yet this cold-blooded tyrant reserves all tenderness for her alone. He indulges her temper, bends his pride, compromises without limit—anything to see her smile. Gradually, her heart wavers. But loving him means betraying Kain, who waited eleven years. Torn between duty and desire, she drowns in agonizing guilt.
Love and hatred intertwined—a forbidden dragon romance in a realm of oppression.

Still.
The image of her standing in the doorway, clutching her cardigan tighter around her narrow shoulders, trying to smile through the awkwardness, won’t leave me.
Neither does the memory of Tyler. Leaving her here without a second thought.
I shouldn’t care.
I don’t care.

I’d appreciate all your support, thank you so much!
From first crush to wedding vows, George Capulet and I had been inseparable. But in our seventh year of marriage, he began an affair with his secretary.
On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."
Lightborn: The Demon’s Bond
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
HER ALPHA, HER SAVIOUR

He’s my new boss. He shouldn’t make my skin tingle or my pulse race. I shouldn’t feel this primal pull, this illogical recognition that tugs at something deep in my bones.
Around him, lights burst, electronics fry, and something ancient in me awakens.
Kane feels it. His grip tightens, punishments turn brutal, and he hides the truth of what I am.
Trapped between two powerful men, I’m no prey, no pawn—no helpless victim.
