Chapter 1
"Fedrick, it's been 4 years now, grandpa thinks may be…it's time to have a baby." The gentle motion of his hands on her back stopped abruptly, silence fell between them like a curtain, heavy and unyielding. Amelia tilted her head up to meet his gaze only to watch the fleeting warmth in his dark eyes vanish, replaced by something cold and sharp, his lips curled into a smirk, one that carried more disdain.
"Do you really think you deserve that Amelia?" His voice low, cold and cutting, sliced through the fragile intimacy they shared moments earlier. Amelia froze, her heart sinking into a pit of disbelief. She sat up searching his face for any trace of the tenderness he had shown before, but it was gone as if it was never there.
Fedrick pushed himself off the bed shrugging into his robe with a practiced ease that made her feel dismissed. She watched him tied his belt round his waist with delibrate movements, he turned his back to against her.
"If you want to keep this status of being my wife," he said as he turned, his glare was icy as his words. "i suggest you do away with this pathetic little stunts" he said, his tone flat but etched with irritation.
Amelia felt my chest tightened, her composure crackened. "Wanting a child with my own husband is a pathetic stunt?" She asked, my voice trembling with a mix of anger and hurt.
"Let me make this clear one last time, i don't want a child Amelia, not with you, so stop trying" with that he strolled towards the door, leaving her sitting alone dumb and silent. The door slammed behind him, the sound reverberating throughout the cold empty room.
Amelia remained motionless, her eyes fixed on the ceiling above. She anticipated his reaction and prepared herself but even though it still stings her like a needle piercing through her heart. A fragile silver of the idea she had clung unto that things could change, now that was even gone.
After a while Amelia reached for her phone, the bright light of the screen, cutting through the darkness, her breath itched as the headline caught her attention.
"Famed Palmes Lyra spotted with her mystery boyfriend at the clinic sparking pregnancy rumors" her heart skipped a bit as she clicked on the article. The accompanying photo showed Lyra alongside a man whose profile was painfully familiar. Amelia didn't need to zoom in to confirm what her heart already knew.
It was Fedrick, there was no mistake in the man she had spent 4 years trying to love, her husband. The man who had just told her he didn't want a child, he simply didn't want one with her. The photo became a cruel reminder of the reality she have so fought hard to ignore.
The position of Fedrick wife wasn't something she had ever dreamed of. It was a role she had on out of duty and desperation.
Amelia had been only 10 years when her parent died in a ghastly car accident. Her uncle took her in, raising her like his own child, but 4 years ago, his business began to fail, the stress was evident when his face grew thinner, his eyes deepened every passing week.
Her aunt's subtle hints about their financial problem became impossible to ignore, then came Fedrick's grandfather, Andrew Bennett with a proposition. A union between Amelia and Fedrick will provide the financial security her family needed. Out of love for her uncle, Amelia felt a sense of obligation, so she agreed.
Amelia signed the marriage papers alone with no ceremony, no celebration. Fedrick didn't even bother to show up. She learned the truth later on. Fedrick had been engaged to Lyra, his first love. Their relationship had been turned apart by Andrew's disapproval of Lyra's background.
Amelia had been a pawn, a convenient distraction to end their relationship, while the world assumed she married for wealth and status. Amelia was the only one who knew the truth, she genuinely fallen for Fedrick. But 4 years of trying to warm his icy heart had proven futile.
Amelia glanced around the room, her gaze fell on the pristine walls adorned with expensive art work. There wasn't a single photograph of their wedding, not even a hint that this is the home of a married couple.
The weight of the situation press down on her chest suffocating and relentless. She had spent 4 years trying to build something with Fedrick, holding unto a hope that now seemed pointless.
As Amelia sank into the arm chair by the window, the light streaming highlighted the uncontrollable tears she fought so hard to hold back. For the first time she allowed herself to question it all, "what was I holding unto, a loveless marriage? A man that will never look at me the same way he looked at Lyra, was this life truly worth sacrificing my own happiness for the sake of appearances."
Amelia stared at the city skyline, her heart aching with the weight of her choices. She had once believed that love could conquer anything, that her perseverance would be enough, but now as the cold truth settled around her, she realised some battles are not meant to be fought, and maybe, just maybe it was time to let go.
3 days after, at 10 later in the evening Amelia was in the dressing room of the hotel. A party was hosted in celebration for the just concluded multi-billion dollar deal between Bennett corporation and Phoenix empire. She was done with the make up, looking into the mirror, she felt like a bride waiting for her husband to pick her up. But the realisation that their union wasn't even celebrated struck her heart.
She couldn't help but think of her union with Fedrick. They were picture perfect couple or so it seemed, that is even if they had one together but behind closed doors, their relationship was a facade. His charm and charisma were just a cover for his true nature.
"You done?" Fedrick voice erupted from the entrance, cold yet sharp cutting through the silence in the room, which brought her out of her trances. "Yes" Amelia replied almost immediately. "How do i look" she asked, with a smile spreading across her lips. His cold looking expression didn't changed a bit.
"You are good to get by" he said, his voice cold, given a hint of irritation. Amelia wasn't expecting much from him. She was just playing along pretending to be a better wife, but in reality she was just dying inside. Amelia took a deep breath, putting on a big smile as I prepared to face the world.
The event went smooth, everyone drinking and dancing But as the night wore on, Amelia began to feel a growing sense of unease. Fedrick was nowhere to be found. She scanned the hall, her eyes searching for his familiar face, but he was nowhere to be seen.
Amelia excused herself and made her way through the crowds, searching for him. As she turned a corner, one of the servers accidentally spilled a glass of red wine all over her dress.
"Oh no, I'm so sorry!" the server exclaimed, as she rushed to grab some napkins to clean up the stain.
She quickly made her way to the room where she had done her makeup earlier, hoping to clean up before rejoining the party.
Something about the atmosphere made her uneasy, the air felt thick, almost suffocating. Her instinct whispered something was off but she pushed the feeling aside.
As Amelia pushed open the door, her feet came to halt, her gaze fixed on the scene before her, her husband Fedrick directly under Lyra's arms, lost in a passionate session with her.
Lyra's eyes met hers a triumphant glint in her gaze. She didn't stop, didn't even slow down, as if savouring the moment. Fedrick, still oblivious to Amelia's presence, continued to move against her, his actions are a cruel betrayal of their marriage vows.
A wave of anger and betrayal washed over her. Amelia felt like thousands of needle piercing through her heart. Her breath cut, her last silver of hope she had been clinging to shattered before her eyes.
It was now clear, the woman he had always truly cared for, a bitter laugh escaped Amelia's mouth, sharp and broken "Fedrick" Amelia said, her voice trembling, shattering the intimate moment. Her was voice laced with venom. "Your hobbies are really something else, I hope you enjoy being a cock hole, because that's exactly what you are" she blurted out.
Fedrick jolted as he heard the familiar voice of Amelia, he slowly turned around, detaching himself from Lyra. His expression changed but not in the way she expected, his eye darkened expressing a lot of annoyance as if Amelia was disrupting something important.
"You spineless bastard I am divorcing you and I am taking half of everything" without waiting for his response, Amelia dashed out of the room. As she walked away from the hotel, her head held high. The weight of her decision settled over her heavy but liberating.
She stepped out into the chilly air, the wind biting at her skin, but the cold felt good.
Amelia felt uncontrollable tears rolling down her cheeks as she settled in the car. But she felt something different, for the very first time Amelia felt a spark of control, she was no longer the pawn in Fedrick's game.
As the car moved, Amelia felt something different, something she have never felt for the past 4 years, a sense of control. she knew one thing for certain. This was the beginning of the end, not just for their union but for the version of herself that had received less than what she deserved. Fedrick had underestimated Amelia for the last time.

The only person more curious than me is Blake Nyvas, tall, golden-eyed, and very much a Dragon. People whisper that he’s dangerous, warn me to keep my distance. But Blake seems determined to solve the mystery of me, and somehow I trust him more than anyone else.
Maybe it’s reckless. Maybe it’s dangerous.
But when everyone else looks at me like I don’t belong, Blake looks at me like I’m a riddle worth solving.

"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."

Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

His hands were working on his belt. It came free of his pants with a violent yank. She collapsed back on her elbows, her mouth gaping open at the display. His face was a mask of sheer determination, his eyes were a dark gold swimming with heat and desire. His hands wrapped around her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the table. He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”
“You…” she breathed.

Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
