After the Miscarriage, I Became the Wife My Husband Desired
Ladys · Completed · 6.6k Words
Introduction
For twelve years, we played this dangerous game. By day, I was his obedient foster sister. By night, I was his obsession.
He never went all the way—saving me for marriage, he claimed—but he did everything else. His fingers knew every wet corner of my body. His mouth had tasted my pleasure a thousand times. He groomed me to be the perfect toy for his bed.
"You're mine, Julie. Only mine."
But then Lena came back.
Suddenly, the bedroom door was locked. Suddenly, I heard her screams of pleasure instead of mine.
He didn't touch me anymore. He looked at me with cold, dead eyes and said, "You're just a sister. Stop acting like a jealous lover."
He threw away twelve years of intimacy for a fresh body.
I packed my bags, leaving behind the lingerie he bought me, the toys we used.
When he finally realized Lena was a fake, he came running back, eyes wild, wanting to claim what he thought was still his property.
"Spread your legs for me, Julie," he begged, reaching for me.
I slapped his hand away. "Go fuck your sister, Daniel. I'm done."
Chapter 1
After the Miscarriage, I became the wife my husband wanted.
Two years into our marriage, Aiden Williams and I went from being a loving couple to enemies.
I was Aiden's dream girl. To be worthy of me, he fought his way up from nothing to become the tech mogul he is today.
After my family went bankrupt, he didn't mind my downfall and still married me without hesitation.
I thought it was the beginning of happiness, but after the wedding, he kept having affairs.
I fought with him hysterically. He went from patiently explaining at first to staying out all night now.
I'd long become a joke in our social circle.
Fight after fight has drained away all my feelings.
Walking out of the detention center, I touched my flat stomach, my face calm.
Aiden, since you got what you never deserved, it's time to pay it back with interest.
Seven days ago, when Aiden's mistress saw me, she suddenly lunged at me, and we got into a physical fight.
The police came and took us both away, detaining us for seven days for fighting.
Later, I found out the cops who arrested me were temporary actors Aiden hired, and the detention center was just a set he built, all to keep me quiet for a few days.
But because I didn't get help in time, I had a miscarriage in his fake detention center.
As soon as I walked in, I heard a woman's flirty voice.
Looking over, it was the woman who fought with me, sitting on Aiden's lap.
I pushed open the door and walked in.
"You're back?"
He casually took my hand and waved his other hand dismissively, signaling the woman to leave.
"You can go now."
The woman gave me a challenging look, grabbed her designer coat from the armrest, and slowly walked past me, deliberately bumping into me.
I didn't look at her. My eyes stayed on Aiden.
He was wearing a gray silk shirt today, with two buttons undone at the collar, showing his collarbone.
This Playboy look certainly had the charm to captivate women.
"Good thing you spent a few days in there to learn a lesson. Stop getting into fights with people."
I shifted slightly, avoiding his hand.
His hand met empty air. He laughed coldly, then suddenly grabbed my hair, forcing me to look up.
"Still haven't learned? Still putting on that rich girl act for who? You think you're still the Harrison family heiress from two years ago?"
My scalp burned with tearing pain. I bit my lip to keep from making a sound.
"Speak. Why aren't you speaking?"
He let go of my hair and grabbed my chin instead, squeezing so hard it felt like he'd crush my jawbone.
I looked up at him, my voice flat and emotionless, "Aiden, I had a miscarriage. In the detention center."
He froze for a few seconds, then laughed. His laughter echoed through the empty living room, "What, done making a scene, now you're lying?"
"After all these years of seeing the best doctors, I got you, you never got pregnant. But locked up for a few days, and suddenly you miscarried? Vivian, your lies are getting worse."
He suddenly pushed me down on the couch and leaned over me, one hand around my throat, his tone suggestive but his grip tightening.
"If you really want a baby, we can make one right now."
I couldn't breathe. My vision blurred. Just when I felt like I was suffocating, he let go.
I coughed violently, tears streaming down uncontrollably.
"Why are you crying? It's annoying." He turned his face away in disgust, but his body didn't stop.
When it was over, he quickly got up and went to the bathroom, as if touching me was something dirty.
The sound of running water.
I stared at the ceiling, my hand slowly moving to my still-flat stomach.
He didn't know I'd drugged him. His last chance at having a child was now forever left behind in that detention center.
Aiden took a phone call and left. He didn't say why, and I didn't ask.
Two years ago, the Harrison Group went bankrupt.
I went from being the admired Harrison Group heiress to someone everyone avoided.
My father couldn't handle it and jumped off a building. My mother remarried.
Creditors came knocking. Friends disappeared.
I didn't dare look for Aiden, who had become a tech industry star. Before, he felt he wasn't good enough for me. Now I felt I wasn't good enough for him.
But he came to me on his own, getting down on one knee in front of all his employees to propose.
He said, "Vivian, I love you. Marry me. I'll take care of your family's problems."
The first year after marrying him, he was like the perfect husband, thoughtful and caring, helping me deal with debts.
The second year, in the gap of the passenger seat of his sports car, I found a luxury brand lipstick in a bright color.
I had no income. He only gave me very little money each month.
Even though the lipstick was used, I still couldn't afford it.
I had a huge fight with him. He explained it was left by a client.
Later, there were long hairs on him, unfamiliar perfume scents, dinners with others at romantic restaurants.
Again and again, I fought with him countless times.
He went from panicked explanations at first to complete indifference now, all in less than a year.
When he stormed out once again, when I discovered I was pregnant, I drugged his water.
Since he couldn'tcontrol yourself, I would do it for him.

How Not To Fall For A Dragon
Which is why it was more than a little confusing when a letter arrived with my name already printed on a schedule, a dorm waiting, and classes picked out as if someone knew me better than I knew myself. Everyone knows the Academy, it’s where witches sharpen their spells, shifters master their forms, and every kind of magical creature learns to control their gifts.
Everyone except me.
I don’t even know what I am. No shifting, no magic tricks, nothing. Just a girl surrounded by people who can fly, conjure fire, or heal with a touch. So I sit through classes pretending I belong, and I listen hard for any clue that might tell me what’s hidden in my blood.
The only person more curious than me is Blake Nyvas, tall, golden-eyed, and very much a Dragon. People whisper that he’s dangerous, warn me to keep my distance. But Blake seems determined to solve the mystery of me, and somehow I trust him more than anyone else.

We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.
And then, just as quickly… he sees me.
His expression twists.
"Fuck no."
He turns—and runs.
My mate sees me and runs.

Wren thought she'd buried the chaos of New Orleans for good—the clubs, the blood-soaked loyalties, the men who lived and died by their kuttes. Seattle gave her everything she ever wanted: freedom, love, a future.

I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

She’ll be the dream he keeps chasing… the one thing that ever made him feel alive.

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.
