Introduction
“Then don’t hold back,” she whispered. “Not tonight.”
And he didn’t. Damon trailed kisses from her neck to her waist
His hands roaming her body like a canvas waiting for the stroke of his fingers, he worshiped her whole.
Lila moaned his name, her fingers scratching his back as she pulled him closer wanting him to consume her raw.
Damon's hands moved downwards groping her skin all the way down to her core causing Lila to release little gasps
His fingers played with her special place like a Potter caressing his vase.
He kissed her
"You are my ecstasy, I want you inside me, honey" Lila whispered in his ear.
Damon's eyes changed instantly, his wolf at the fore, she felt his length as he pressed against her still hidden in his clothes.
She tore at it ,Damon taking it off piece by piece, keeping his stare fixated on her...
A stray wolf tore open Elias's stomach, his intestines spilling out, blood staining the forest floor crimson… Damon watched helplessly as his dearest friend Elias died in his arms. From that moment on, Damon closed himself off; a part of him died.
But as a young Alpha of the Moonshade Wolf Pack, he was forced to mate with a stranger named Lila to produce an heir for the pack. Damon loathed this proposal and decided to rebel.
To his bewilderment, the moment he saw Lila, his throat tightened, a surge of heat welled up within him, and an intense desire to mate with her burned like a raging fire within him, consuming him from the inside out. He felt he might be going mad; how could he possibly crave a stranger like this?!
Chapter 1
The sun had long dipped beneath the horizon, casting the Moonshade Pack's territory in hues of silver and shadow. In the grand hall of the Alpha’s home, Damon sat at the head of the long wooden table, his steely gray eyes fixed on the flickering fire. The crackling flames seemed to echo the tension in the room, the heat of the discussion only growing.
His parents, Alpha Gerald and Luna Maris, stood nearby. Gerald’s broad shoulders were tense, and Maris’s usually gentle face was etched with determination.
“We’re not asking, Damon. We’re telling you,” Gerald said, his voice firm and unyielding. “The pack needs stability. An heir. You’ve delayed long enough.”
Damon’s gaze remained locked on the fire. His voice was low, cold. “And so you’ve decided to meddle in my life?”
“This isn’t just about you,” Maris interjected, her tone softer but no less resolute. “The pack’s survival depends on its leader. Without a mate, without children, you jeopardize everything.”
His jaw tightened as he leaned back in his chair, his muscular frame radiating restrained fury. “I have no interest in love, nor in being shackled to someone for appearances.”
“It’s not about love,” Gerald snapped, his temper flaring. “It’s about duty. You’re the Alpha, and your duty is to the pack.”
The weight of those words hung heavy in the air. For a moment, silence fell, broken only by the crackle of the fire. Then Maris spoke again, her voice quieter but no less determined. “We’ve chosen someone, Damon. Lila.”
At the mention of her name, Damon’s lips curled into a sneer. “Lila?” he repeated, his voice dripping with disdain.
“She’s a strong, kind woman,” Maris continued, ignoring his tone. “Devoted to the pack. She’s loved you for years.”
“She can love all she wants,” Damon said, his voice as sharp as a blade. “I don’t.”
Gerald stepped forward, his imposing figure shadowed by the firelight. “She knows what’s expected. She’s agreed to this union willingly. The ceremony will take place in two weeks.”
The words struck Damon like a physical blow. He rose abruptly, the chair scraping loudly against the stone floor. His towering frame loomed over his parents, his fury palpable. “You think you can force me into this?”
“No,” Maris said softly, meeting her son’s cold stare. Her voice wavered slightly, but her resolve remained strong. “But the pack can’t wait forever, Damon. This is the only way.”
Without another word, Damon turned and strode out of the hall, the weight of their decision pressing heavily on his shoulders.
Outside, the crisp night air bit at his skin, but Damon didn’t feel the chill. Without hesitation, he shifted into his wolf form, his massive black fur blending seamlessly with the darkness. Running was his only solace. In his wolf form, he could escape the suffocating expectations and the bitterness that clung to him like a second skin.
The forest enveloped him as he sped through the underbrush, his powerful legs propelling him forward. Trees blurred past him, the wind whipping against his face. But even the forest, his sanctuary, seemed to mock him with its stillness. The words of his parents echoed relentlessly in his mind. The pack needs stability. An heir.
And then there was her name , Lila.
He remembered her faintly, a quiet figure on the fringes of his youth. She had always been there, a watchful presence that he had never paid much attention to. But now, memories surfaced unbidden, half-formed and fleeting. A soft laugh, a pair of bright, hopeful eyes, and the way she had once looked at him with unwavering admiration.
He growled low in his throat, shaking the thoughts from his mind. This union wasn’t about her; it was about control. His parents sought to tether him to a future he didn’t want, to a woman he didn’t love.
Pausing at the edge of a cliff, Damon stared out at the moonlit valley below. The forest stretched endlessly before him, a sea of shadows and silver. The air was heavy with a strange energy, as if the land itself was holding its breath.
He let out a snarl of frustration, his claws digging into the earth beneath him. If his parents thought they could control him, they were wrong. He was the Alpha, and he would make his own choices.
And yet, despite his anger, the image of Lila lingered in his mind. Her quiet strength, her unyielding loyalty to the pack, and the softness in her eyes when she looked at him.
Why her? Why now?
He closed his eyes, trying to banish the thought. She wasn’t his mate. That much he knew. But something about her presence unsettled him in ways he couldn’t explain.
Back in the grand hall, Maris watched her son’s retreating figure with a heavy heart. Gerald placed a hand on her shoulder, his expression a mix of frustration and concern.
“He’ll come around,” Gerald said gruffly. “He has to.”
Maris sighed, her fingers fidgeting with the edge of her shawl. “I just hope we haven’t pushed him too far.”
“He’s stubborn, yes,” Gerald admitted, his voice softening. “But he’s also smart. He knows what’s at stake.”
Maris nodded, though doubt lingered in her eyes. “I hope you’re right.”
Damon remained on the cliff’s edge for what felt like hours, the weight of his thoughts pressing down on him. Finally, he shifted back into his human form, the night air cool against his bare skin.
He couldn’t deny that his parents had a point. The pack needed an heir, and the threat of rogue attacks was growing. But was this truly the answer? To bind himself to someone he didn’t love, to a life he didn’t want?
His thoughts drifted back to Lila. Would she truly agree to such an arrangement, knowing how little he cared for her? He remembered the way she had watched him as a child, her gaze filled with hope and admiration. What did she think now, after all these years?
A bitter smile twisted his lips. It didn’t matter. He wouldn’t let anyone, not his parents or Lila, dictate his future.

He Never Loved Me, Until I Left
I put away the divorce agreement with a wry smile.
When he and my son completely disappeared, he finally panicked.
Three months later .
He knelt down on the streets of Chicago in despair, begging me to remarry him.
My six-year-old son looked coldly at his biological father and said, "Get lost, you bad uncle! You don't deserve to be my dad!"
He Thought I'd Never Leave
When he said he was being bullied, I believed him. When he kissed me on that rooftop, I thought he felt the same. When he asked me to transfer schools with him, I said yes without hesitation.
Then I heard him bragging to his friends: "She'd save her first time for me. Hell, she'd still be thinking of me on her wedding night."
The bullying was staged. The kiss meant nothing. He just wanted me gone—so his new girl could feel more comfortable.
He thought I'd beg. He thought I'd cry. He thought I'd never actually leave.
I left the country.
And ran straight into his stepbrother.
I Died While They Threw Her a Party
Their real daughter came home. She'd only been back two years. That's all it took to erase twenty-four.
When kidnappers grabbed us, I used my body as a shield. They beat me until something inside me ruptured. I was dying from internal bleeding, but no one could tell.
My parents wouldn't even look at me. "This is your fault! None of this would've happened if it weren't for you!"
"Get downstairs and apologize to your sister. If you can't, pack your things and get out."
They threw her a party at a downtown hotel while I died alone in my room.
I thought they'd be relieved. Maybe even glad. I thought they'd just move on like I never existed.
But when they finally learned the truth, they fell apart.
Bury Me in His Regret
The kidnapper pressed the gun to my temple and asked, "Choose your wife or your sister-in-law?"
Zachary didn't hesitate. "Let Valerie go," he said.
He actually chose to save his sister-in-law! In that moment, even the baby in my belly seemed to stop kicking.
Later, they locked me in the basement. Drugs to delay labor were pumped into my veins over and over. Zachary wanted to save the "firstborn son" status for his sister-in-law's child.
When warm blood finally soaked through my skirt, I dialed the number I knew by heart with shaking hands.
"Zachary," I whispered into the phone, "our child... can't wait any longer."
The Kidney That Killed Me
A few months ago, my sister was hospitalized with kidney failure. The doctor said she needed a transplant. My family's first thought was me—the backup daughter they'd kept around all these years.
When my husband Allen took my hand with tears in his eyes and said, "Only you can save her," I agreed without hesitation.
When the doctor explained the surgical risks and potential complications, I smiled and nodded my understanding.
My parents said I'd finally learned what sisterly love meant.
Even Allen, who'd always been cold to me, held my hand gently and said, "The surgery's safe. You're so healthy, nothing will go wrong. When you recover, I'll take you to Hawaii."
But they don't know that no matter how the surgery goes, I won't be around to celebrate.
Because I just got my own test results—I have terminal brain cancer. I'm going to die anyway.
After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire's Arms
From first crush to wedding vows, George Capulet and I had been inseparable. But in our seventh year of marriage, he began an affair with his secretary.
On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."
Alpha Nicholas's Little Mate
What? No—wait… oh Moon Goddess, no.
Please tell me you're joking, Lex.
But she's not. I can feel her excitement bubbling under my skin, while all I feel is dread.
We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.
And then, just as quickly… he sees me.
His expression twists.
"Fuck no."
He turns—and runs.
My mate sees me and runs.

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

My back hit the desk. Pain exploded through my skull.
"Girls like you don't get to dream about guys like Kai." Bella's breath was hot on my face. "You don't get to write pathetic love letters."
She shoved me again. Harder.
"Maybe if you weren't such a desperate little—"
I fell. My head cracked against the corner.
Warmth trickled down my neck. Blood.
Their laughter turned to gasps.
The door slammed.
I tried to stand. Couldn't. The room was spinning, fading to black.
