Elysha Winsol · Ongoing · 161.9k Words
Introduction
Now that girl, Emma Vance, refuses to let her go.
Her father, Asher Vance, refuses to let her stay.
With sharp suits, inked skin, and a voice that sounds like danger, Asher is the kind of man who gets what he wants—and never forgives what he doesn’t. He built his fortune on control and his reputation on fear. But Rowan Hayes makes him lose both.
As their worlds collide, the lies holding his empire together begin to crack. Emma’s mother isn’t dead. The truth is uglier—and far more dangerous—than anyone knows.
Caught between the child who trusts her and the man who tempts her, Rowan must decide whether love is worth the ruin that follows.
He’s power and poison. She’s the spark that might burn it all down.
Chapter 1
Rowan POV
Bad luck was nothing new to Rowan Hayes—but the universe was not yet finished with her, it seemed.
She emerged from the interview tower clutching her resume like a bruise in the side of her bag. Manhattan’s noon light beat against the glass around her, blinding. Inside, the suits had smiled while they took her apart, dispassionate knives wrapped in silk.
We’ll be in touch.
Yeah. Right. They would.
Pushing her way into the tide of traffic, the smell of rain on asphalt fighting with exhaust, the city’s heartbeat faster than her own, somewhere behind the skyline a siren wailed. She fumbled at the strap of her thrift-store blazer and tried not to think about the balance in her checking account.
Then movement, a splash of color in gray.
A child sprinted between the people around her, the way a drop of sunlight cleaves shadows. Barely five, maybe six years old. Hair in a half-knotted braid, sneakers dangling, clutching a stuffed rabbit that looked twice her age.
Rowan’s stomach lurched. The girl was running straight toward the crosswalk.
A horn blared.
Rowan didn’t think, only acted. A million things snapped into focus: her heart thundering, the squeal of brakes, the bright flash of chrome. She was in motion before she realized, caught the small body in her arms around the waist and jerked hard back. Marble met flesh with a sickening thud. Heat and pain and the acrid smell of burned rubber—and then silence.
The van careened past a foot away from them, its engine a furious scream. The hood thrummed; nostrils flare. It was gone in a heartbeat, leaving a cloud of tire smoke and gasps from disbelieving onlookers who would pretend to have seen nothing.
Rowan’s arms tightened around the child without her thinking to do so. The girl shuddered against her, sobbing quietly.
“Hey, hey, it’s okay,” she murmured, voice a gravelly rasp. “You’re safe, you hear me? You’re safe. I’ve got you.”
The child looked up, those eyes too ancient for that small face—hazel, rimmed with tears. “You saved me,” she said.
Rowan tried to smile. “Somebody had to do something.”
For a beat of heart-stopping, eye-catching, lunatic strangeness, the child clung to her like she knew her all her life. Then came the shouts.
“Emma!”
Black suits in three spilled across the plaza, radios crackling, movements so sharp they cut air. The child—Emma—squirmed, curled her face into Rowan’s neck.
“Miss Vance!” The name was shouted, a jolt. Vance—Vance Tower, the building that owned half the skyline. Vance—Asher Vance, the man whose name graced the tabloids as the Wolf of Wall Street, whose name was whispered in boardrooms as the man who made enemies disappear.
Emma Vance.
Of course. Because the universe was cruel, but at least it had a flair for the dramatic.
Rowan’s brain reeled. The security detail closed in, charged with static tension. One of them reached for the girl. “Ma’am, thank you, but now we’ll take her.”
“No!” A tiny cry pained and full of fury. “Don’t make her go!”
The men paused, unbalanced by the sound of the child. One murmured into his radio. Rowan heard snatches of words—Mr. Vance, plaza level, now.
The world shifted on its axis.
Silence followed, the people thinning, the noise muffled, as if the city held its breath to watch. A shape punched its way through the onlookers, tall, a black suit perfectly tailored to its body; stride careful, calculated. Rowan recognized the build before she saw the face: only half of Asher Vance was in view, but even so, people cleared the way without being asked.
He halted a few feet away.
Close up, the man in black did not have the aura of a photograph or a headline. He was control made manifest, gray eyes cold as wet steel, a scar tracing one side of his temple, the kind of face belonging to predators, not saints.
“Who the hell are you?” He didn’t shout, merely spoke low enough that the words hummed in her veins.
Rowan swallowed. “Rowan Hayes.”
The eyes fixed on her, not with interest, but inventory, measuring, as though he could read every sin, she’d ever committed by looking at her. Emma squirmed in her arms. “Daddy, she saved me!”
Something flickered across his face—relief, maybe—but the expression was gone before it could soften him. He reached out a hand, tipped toward the child, fingers splayed.
“Give her to me.”
Emma clung hard against Rowan’s side. “No! She keeps me safe!”
Gasps cut through the air; someone’s phone illuminated the pair. Rowan felt all that attention congeal around them, as solid as glass walls.
“I don’t think she wants to go with you,” Rowan blurted before her brain could register the words.
The sudden quiet was electric. Asher’s jaw clenched once, hard. Then, in a voice only he could make both a whisper and a threat, “You’re coming with us.”
“I—what?”
“You heard me.” The statement was final, not to be questioned. “You don’t just waltz into my daughter’s life and disappear. No, not after this.”
He took a step closer, close enough for her to smell his cologne on his breath—cedar and smoke, with a hint of danger. The city’s din faded from her ears; all she could focus on was that look, sharp-edged and probing, like the sensation of being touched without being touched.
One of the guards shoved Rowan’s fallen bag into her arms. Asher gestured to the black SUV waiting at the curb, windows dark like secrets.
“After you,” he said, politeness edged in steel.
Rowan paused, every cell of her body screaming to run, but then Emma’s fingers were digging hard into her own, and that was what decided it for her.
She got in.
The door snapped shut behind them with the heavy finality of a vault. The air smelled of leather and gun oil and power. Asher took his seat in front of her, eyes trained on both of them, king surveying trespassers in his own dominion.
“I didn’t kidnap her,” Rowan gritted out. “I pulled her out of traffic.”
“If you hadn’t,” he replied levelly, “we’d be burying her tonight.” He studied her, the barest hint of something across his lips. “Don’t mistake my restraint for gratitude. Gratitude is a weakness I cannot afford.”
Emma pressed her face to Rowan’s shoulder, mumbling something that Rowan only half heard. Don’t let her come back.
It sent a shiver through her, even before Asher’s expression soured.
He leaned forward just a touch, elbows on knees, voice a rasp of velvet. “Miss Hayes, you may have saved her, but that makes you complicit in this. My world does not permit outsiders to walk away.”
The SUV’s engines purred as it rolled beneath Vance Tower, the SUV disappearing into shadow.
Rowan looked across at the man in the seat opposite her—the myth, the monster, the father—and realized that in saving a stranger’s child, she might just have changed the rest of her life.

I hate girls like her.
Entitled.
Delicate.
And still—
Still.
The image of her standing in the doorway, clutching her cardigan tighter around her narrow shoulders, trying to smile through the awkwardness, won’t leave me.
Neither does the memory of Tyler. Leaving her here without a second thought.
I shouldn’t care.
I don’t care.
It’s not my problem if Tyler’s an idiot.
It’s not my business if some spoiled little princess has to walk home in the dark.
I’m not here to rescue anyone.
Especially not her.
Especially not someone like her.
She’s not my problem.
And I’ll make damn sure she never becomes one.
But when my eyes fell on her lips, I wanted her to be mine.
Alpha Nicholas's Little Mate
What? No—wait… oh Moon Goddess, no.
Please tell me you're joking, Lex.
But she's not. I can feel her excitement bubbling under my skin, while all I feel is dread.
We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.
And then, just as quickly… he sees me.
His expression twists.
"Fuck no."
He turns—and runs.

How Not To Fall For A Dragon
Which is why it was more than a little confusing when a letter arrived with my name already printed on a schedule, a dorm waiting, and classes picked out as if someone knew me better than I knew myself. Everyone knows the Academy, it’s where witches sharpen their spells, shifters master their forms, and every kind of magical creature learns to control their gifts.
Everyone except me.
I don’t even know what I am. No shifting, no magic tricks, nothing. Just a girl surrounded by people who can fly, conjure fire, or heal with a touch. So I sit through classes pretending I belong, and I listen hard for any clue that might tell me what’s hidden in my blood.
The only person more curious than me is Blake Nyvas, tall, golden-eyed, and very much a Dragon. People whisper that he’s dangerous, warn me to keep my distance. But Blake seems determined to solve the mystery of me, and somehow I trust him more than anyone else.
Maybe it’s reckless. Maybe it’s dangerous.
But when everyone else looks at me like I don’t belong, Blake looks at me like I’m a riddle worth solving.

Steamy, fierce, and full of heart, Goddess of the Underworld is a reverse harem, found-family paranormal romance where love writes the rules and keeps three realms from falling apart.
A pack of their own
The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."
New to the world of shifters, Draven is human on the run. A beautiful girl who no one could protect. Domonic is the cold Alpha of the Red Wolf Pack. A brotherhood of twelve wolves that live by twelve rules. Rules which they vowed could NEVER be broken.
Especially - Rule Number One - No Mates
When Draven meets Domonic, he knows that she is his mate, but Draven has no idea what a mate is, only that she has fallen in love with a shifter. An Alpha that will break her heart to make her leave. Promising herself, she will never forgive him, she disappears.
But she doesn’t know about the child she’s carrying or that the moment she left, Domonic decided rules were made to be broken - and now will he ever find her again? Will she forgive him?
The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
Invisible To Her Bully
Falling For The Biker: The Vice President's Girl
His eyes darken, flicking to my mouth.
"It's wrong. Your brother would slit my throat for just standing this close. But tell me, little bird" his breath ghosts my skin, "are you trembling because you hate me… or because you've wanted this just as much as I have?"
Wren thought she'd buried the chaos of New Orleans for good—the clubs, the blood-soaked loyalties, the men who lived and died by their kuttes. Seattle gave her everything she ever wanted: freedom, love, a future.
But one betrayal shatters it all.
Dragged home by tragedy, Wren finds herself under the watchful eye of Ezra Jax—the Raven Reapers MC's vice president and her brother's best friend. He's infuriating, dangerous, and far too tempting for a man she should never touch.
And the deeper Wren is pulled back into his world, the more she realizes nothing about her past—or about Ezra—is what she believed.
In the chaos of gang wars, mounting debts, and old betrayals, he becomes the one constant. The more she fights him, the harder she falls. And the more he pushes her away, the more lethal his pull becomes.
Because in this world, love isn't sweet.
It's brutal. Bloody.
And it's bound to break them both.
When loyalty is everything and love can cost your life, will Wren risk her heart on the one man she was never meant to love?
