Introduction
Chapter 1
Shelley Harper walked out of City Hall with a marriage certificate in her hand.
"Thank you, Mr. Layton!"
Adrian Layton waved his hand and said, "I'm in a hurry to see the client. Where are you going? I can give you a lift if I'm on your way."
Shelley raised her eyebrows, surprised that he had thought about giving her a ride.
She thought Adrian hated her.
After all, three months ago, Shelley incidentally sent him to the hospital when he was in danger. However, three months later, she threatened Adrian to marry her in return for saving his life.
Although Adrian had promised that he could unconditionally do one thing for Shelley, anyone coerced into marrying a stranger should feel disgusted.
"Thank you, but I came here by e-bike. Please go and run your errands." Adrian probably said that out of politeness and gentlemanly upbringing. She would embarrass herself if she agreed.
It was just a marriage of convenience. Shelley was grateful that Adrian was willing to marry her. She would never expect him to treat her like a normal husband did.
Adrian raised his wrist and checked the time. He was running late. "Okay, then I'll see you later. Sorry, I can't keep you company on the first day of the marriage."
Shelley shook her head and said, "It's okay." She had a growing feeling that Adrian was a gentleman.
Adrian nodded and hurried towards an ordinary car parked by the side of the road. When he opened the door, he remembered something and looked up.
He saw Shelley had put on the down coat and rode an e-bike leaving in the opposite direction.
She had left crisply, which made Adrian freeze momentarily!
When Shelley asked him to fulfill his promise and marry her, Adrian thought she must have other plans.
But now, she didn't ask for anything and just left.
"Is she playing hard to get?" thought Adrian.
Adrian slightly pressed his thin lips. Since she was willing to be sensible, he wouldn't get himself in trouble.
But since he had married Shelley, he would fulfill his responsibilities.
The premise was that Adrian wouldn't let her know his true identity.
Adrian withdrew his gaze, opened the door, started the car, and left.
Adrian drove to the next intersection and pulled over the car. He got off and got on a black Maybach ahead.
With the door closed, the driver reported while starting the car, "Mr. Layton, Mrs. Layton seems to know that you and Ms. Harper are married."
"What happened?"
"You left the company for no reason in the morning. Your younger brother noticed it and checked Ms. Harper out. Then he told Mrs. Layton."
Adrian sneered and thought, "He couldn't wait to tell the world that I married an ordinary woman."
"Before Mrs. Layton intervenes, erase all traces related to Shelley. Don't let anyone know about our marriage for the time being."
"Yes, Mr. Layton!"
Adrian tapped on the car window with his thin fingers and said, "Find him something to do so that he won't be too idle."
"Yes," replied the driver, then paused. "Should I send two people to protect Ms. Harper?"
Adrian's eyes suddenly turned cold. He frowned and said, "Okay. Be careful. Don't let her know my identity so she won't have inappropriate thoughts."
Shelley, who was unaware of anything, had come to the hospital by e-bike.
Winter in Sea City came earlier than in other places.
The sea breeze mixed with moisture hit Shelley's face as if it would cool down all the way into her heart.
Having been blown by the winter winds all the way, Shelley tightly wrapped herself in the down jacket. Accompanied by the wind passing through the hall, she stopped at the door of the ICU of the Department of Cerebral Surgery.
Shelley looked at the skinny old lady lying inside with tubes all over his body through the thin glass window, suddenly turning red-rimmed eyes.
She held back her tears and forced a smile.
"Grandma, I'm married."
Shelley took out the marriage certificate and stuck it on the glass window, as if Sienna could see it.
"He's a nice guy. He is tall, thin, handsome, and a gentleman." He was forced to repay his favor, but he said sorry for not being able to accompany her on the first day of the wedding.
"So don't worry. I'm fine. I hope you will be fine too. Please don't give up, even if it's for me. You are my only family. Please don't leave me alone."
Tears rolled down Shelley's cheeks, but she still managed to smile because Sienna said she liked seeing Shelley smile the most.
Shelley talked to Sienna outside for a while and then went to the doctor's office to ask about Sienna's situation.
Sienna's attending was Keith White. Although very young, he was an authority in the brain area. He pushed the frame of his glasses and said, "Mrs. Harper is old and has been so stimulated. It is a miracle that she could be saved.
"Although she has become more and more stable in the past few days, whether she can wake up depends on her own willpower."
Her nails dug into her palm. Shelley nodded and said with red eyes, "Thank you, Doctor White. Please take care of my Grandma. It doesn't matter how expensive the medicine is, as long as my Grandma wakes up. Please keep me informed immediately if anything happens."
Shelley was an abandoned orphan. It was Sienna Harper who picked her up and brought her home. She brought Shelley up and put her through school.
She didn't know what had happened the day Sienna fainted. Shelley only heard from neighbors that someone seemed to have come to the house and had a fierce quarrel with Sienna. After that person left, Sienna fainted.
Keith opened his mouth, wanting to say Sienna was old and had the slimmest chance of waking up, and no matter how expensive the medicine she took, it wouldn't help.
But looking at Shelley, a thin yet strong girl, Keith felt heartache for her and bit back the words in the end.
"Okay. I'll call you in time if anything happens."
When Shelley came out of the hospital, the cold wind suddenly blew on her face.
The gloomy sky weighed on top of her head, as if it would collapse in the next second.
Shelley wiped tears away from her face and walked toward her e-bike. It looked like there was going to be heavy snow.
As soon as she put the key in, her phone suddenly rang.
Shelley took off her gloves and took out her phone from her pocket. She was stunned momentarily when she saw the person who sent the message.
It was a person without remarks, WhatsApp called L, and the profile picture was a dark night sky.
It took Shelley a while to realize who this person was.
It was Adrian, her new husband!
When Shelley left after saving Adrian, he gave her a business card and promised to do one thing for her unconditionally.
After Sienna was stimulated and passed out, the doctor asked Shelley to prepare for her death.
Shelley thought she should at least fulfill Sienna's greatest wish, which was watching Shelley start a family.
Actually, Shelley had thought of many ways, but most people directly refused after learning she had a grandma staying in the ICU.
It was Shelley's desperate choice to find Adrian.
She tentatively added him on WhatsApp and reported her name. Unexpectedly, not only Adrian added her but agreed to help her immediately.
That was the reason why they got married!
L: [Astoria Villas. It's my place. If you are free today, you can move there first.]
[Buy whatever you need. I got a lot going on today and may come home late.]
Adrian even transferred two thousand dollars to her account!
Looking at the messages and the money, Shelley was a little stunned.
Did Adrian want them to live together like a real married couple?

The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

Invisible To Her Bully
Alpha Twins' Mate's broken Human
A Lesson in Magic
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
The Forbidden Throb
Mine changed in the time it took to open a door.
Behind it: my fiancé Nicholas with another woman.
Three months until our wedding. Three seconds to watch it all burn.
I should have run. Should have screamed. Should have done anything except stand there like a fool.
Instead, I heard the devil himself whisper in my ear:
"If you're willing, I could marry you."
Daniel. The brother I was warned about. The one who made Nicholas look like a choir boy.
He leaned against the wall, watching my world implode.
My pulse thundered. "What?"
"You heard me." His eyes burned into mine. "Marry me, Emma."
But as I stared into those magnetic eyes, I realized something terrifying:
I wanted to say yes to him.
Game on.
The Biker Alpha Who Became My Second Chance Mate
"You're like a sister to me."
Those were the actual words that broke the camel's back.
Not after what just happened. Not after the hot, breathless, soul-shaking night we spent tangled in each other's arms.
I knew from the beginning that Tristan Hayes was a line I shouldn't cross.
He wasn't just anyone, he was my brother's best friend. The man I spent years secretly wanting.
But that night... we were broken. We had just buried our parents. And the grief was too heavy, too real...so I begged him to touch me.
To make me forget. To fill the silence that death left behind.
And he did. He held me like I was something fragile.
Kissed me like I was the only thing he needed to breathe.
Then left me bleeding with six words that burned deeper than rejection ever could.
So, I ran. Away from everything that cost me pain.
Now, five years later, I'm back.
Fresh from rejecting the mate who abused me. Still carrying the scars of a pup I never got to hold.
And the man waiting for me at the airport isn't my brother.
It's Tristan.
And he's not the guy I left behind.
He's a biker.
An Alpha.
And when he looked at me, I knew there was no where else to run to.
