Lucifiel Thorne thought he had wiped out every last hunter.
He was wrong.
Levi Cross is just trying to survive. Between college, bills, and a past he doesn’t fully remember, life is already hard enough. The last thing he needs is attention—especially from a man who clearly doesn’t belong in his world.
But Lucifiel isn’t just any man. He’s powerful, controlling, and way too interested in Levi.
It started as a job offer, until it wasn't. Because the “job” takes him into a private, exclusive club where the rules are different, and where Levi is expected to play a role he never signed up for.
Lucifiel’s possession.
What was supposed to be temporary starts to feel like something else entirely. Something darker and far more dangerous than Levi ever expected.
Lucifiel wasn't all about the pleasure. What Levi doesn’t know is that he was way more than a pleasure toy.
He was the last hunter. And his blood is the one thing Lucifiel has been searching for.
The one thing that can end everything.
Or change it forever. Either way… Lucifiel plans to claim what’s his.
Chapter 1
The village was burning.
Flames devoured everything in sight, tearing through rooftops and swallowing homes whole. Smoke choked the night sky, and the air was thick with ash and the metallic scent of blood.
Bodies were everywhere. Some were torn apart. Others lay still, their blood completely drained.
All of them were dead.
Lucifiel Thorne stood at the center of it all, unmoving. Just hours ago, he had left to secure peace,a treaty with the Alpha of Rainville Park. A future where vampires, and werewolves would no longer be enemies. A world that would favour his beloved so he could move around without fear.
And now…
There was nothing left to save.
“My lord…”
Lucifiel turned at the weak voice.
Kael staggered toward him, clutching his arm. Blood slipped through his fingers, staining the ground beneath him. His steps faltered, but he kept moving until Lucifiel reached him first.
“It was an ambush,” Kael said, his voice strained.
Lucifiel caught him before he could fall, his grip firm.
“Who did this?” he asked quietly.
Kael trembled at the calmness in his tone.
“…Hunters.”
The word settled heavily between them.
Lucifiel’s expression didn’t change, but something dark flickered in his eyes.
“Search the area,” he ordered without looking away. “Find any survivors. Bring them to the estate.”
The guards obeyed immediately.
Kael’s legs gave out, and Lucifiel lowered him to the ground. He tore a strip of cloth and tied it tightly above the wound, trying to slow the bleeding.
“You’re not going to ask, are you?” Kael murmured weakly.
“Stop talking.”
“I’m going to die anyway…” Kael coughed, blood spilling past his lips. “…and that’s fine.”
“shut up. You are not dying too,” Lucifiel growled.
Kael’s hand weakly gripped his sleeve. His voice dropped to a whisper.
“They tore him apart.”
Everything went still. Lucifiel didn’t move. Then, slowly, he stood.
“You won’t die on my watch. At least not today.”
Before Kael could protest, Lucifiel bit into his own palm and forced his blood into Kael’s mouth. The human struggled, but Lucifiel held him still until the bleeding slowed and life returned—just enough. Enough to keep him alive.
Lucifiel released him and turned away.
There was only one thing that mattered now. He moved faster than the fire itself. Through burning streets, broken walls, and through bodies he didn’t stop to look at.
He reached his estate in seconds. Inside was chaos. The injured filled every corner. The scent of blood was overwhelming.
“Lucifiel.”
He turned.
Rahul stood nearby, directing others, his clothes soaked in blood. But it doesn't seem to be his.
“You’re back.”
“Where is he?” Lucifiel asked immediately. While his eyes do a quick sweep around.
A pause.
Rahul hesitated. “I haven’t seen him.”
Lucifiel didn’t respond. He simply turned and walked out again.
Faster this time. He was desperate.
“No…”
The word left him before he could stop it.
He had searched almost everywhere.
Almost.
There was one place left. The far end of the village. Away from the others, quiet and isolated.
Their place. It was their sacred place.
Lucifiel slowed as he approached. The fire hadn’t reached here fully yet, but the damage was still clear. The door was broken. The scent of a blood he was too familiar with was everywhere.
Too much of it. For the first time that night...Lucifiel hesitated.
Then he stepped inside. The world stopped. He was there,on the floor surrounded by blood. His eyes wide open and pupils dilated.
Lucifiel didn’t move at first, as if his body refused to accept what he was seeing. Then, slowly, he walked forward and dropped to his knees.
“…No.No no no.”
His voice was quieter now. Broken.
He reached out, his hand hovering for a moment before finally touching him.
He was cold.
His fingers trembled as he pulled the body closer, cradling him gently as if he might still break.
There were wounds everywhere. Deep, brutal and merciless. Lucifiel lowered his head, pressing his forehead against his lover’s. A single tear dropped out of his eyes.
For a moment, there was nothing. But something inside him snapped. The air around him darkened.
Power surged violently through the room, rattling the walls, cracking the floor beneath him.
His grip tightened. His eyes burned—not with the tears… But with something far worse.
Rage.Pure endless range.
“I will kill them,” he said softly.
The words didn’t sound like a promise, they sounded like fate.
“Every single one of them.”
His voice dropped, turning cold and deadly.
“I will hunt them down… across generations.”
His gaze lifted, glowing with something inhuman.
“I will wipe their bloodline from existence.”
The room trembled.
“They will beg for death…”
His hold on the lifeless body tightened slightly.
“…and I will deny it.”
Lucifiel closed his eyes for a brief moment, then opened them—empty of everything except purpose.
The man who had once believed in peace, was gone. The one person who had lightened up his world. He was so happy and full of life. But they had to take that away from him.
Luciefiel picked up the lifeless body of his lover as he continued to spit out promises. Promises to take everything and everyone involved in this. He would make them regret ever coming close to what's his.
That night, Lucifiel Thorne didn’t just lose his lover, he buried his mercy… and unleashed a war that would echo through bloodlines.
