He Chose My Sister, So I Chose His Enemy
furqan khan · Completed · 24.4k Words
Introduction
That was before I found my step-sister naked on his mahogany desk.
I remained committed to my role of Luna for three years while I suffered through his distant behavior because I viewed our mate bond as a holy connection. The moment he wiped her lipstick from his mouth, the bond that connected us to each other shattered in my heart because he had treated me as someone who lacked excitement.
He wanted me to weep while I accepted my lower-status position. I used my mother’s billion-dollar tech patents to lock him out, then I denied him on the pack intercom, before I entered the advanced security facilities of his most dangerous competitor.
Alpha Kaelen, the Lycan King, doesn't function as an uncontrollable animal. He possesses dangerous charisma which combines with his exceptional intelligence. I didn't request his protection; I established the terms for it. I presented him with the blueprints which would lead to our shared enemy's financial ruin. We are currently dismantling Kane's business empire together. Our formal agreement starts to dissolve into an irresistible attraction which develops during our nighttime strategy meetings and our executive boardroom business takeovers.
Kaelen discovers my hidden pregnancy secret, but he does not exile me from his presence. He displays a wicked grin while making his intention to take ownership of his opponent's offspring permanent. Kane will initiate a violent conflict to reclaim me as his possessions disappear and his remorse transforms into a primal fixation.
Will my charming, deadly protector permit me to handle my own conflicts or will we destroy everything my ex left behind?
Chapter 1
Two faint pink lines.
I stared at the plastic pregnancy test resting on the cold marble counter of my bathroom. My hands, which should have been steady enough to solder microchips, started to shake. I pressed my palm flat against my stomach. After three years of a cold, distant marriage to Alpha Kane, I was finally carrying the Silver Moon heir.
I exhaled a shaky breath while a small smile appeared on my face. I believed this moment marked our actual turning point. I endured his late office work hours and his constant critical remarks and his emotional unavailability because I believed the mate bond was a sacred tie. He served as the public face while I managed all parts of his corporate network. The agreement should have created a partnership. I thought that this child would shape our family into a genuine household.
I placed the test into my blazer pocket, adjusted my skirt, and exited our penthouse.
The Silver Moon packhouse had a modern design because it stood as a 50-story glass and steel skyscraper located in the middle of the city. Kane built his billionaire empire on the complete tech patent rights that my deceased mother created.
I walked along the sleek carpeted executive hallway toward Kane's office when my wolf senses detected something unusual.
The strong scent of Kane's high-end cologne lost its battle to compete against the overwhelming artificial vanilla and sweet jasmine scent.
Lily. My step-sister.
My chest tightened. I reached for the heavy silver door handle, but the door was already cracked open an inch.
The office door opened slightly, and a breathless voice giggled, "Kane someone will hear us."
Kane replied with a thunderous voice, "Let them. I am the CEO so I have the right to do whatever I want in my own building."
I became motionless while my hands stopped shaking. A sudden wave of coldness replaced the trembling in my hands. I leaned closer to the gap in the door while the cold polished wood pressed against my cheek.
Kane's tailored suit jacket was thrown on the floor. He was leaning against his massive glass desk. Lily sat on the desk edge with her skirt hiked up and her hands tangled in his dark hair while he stood against the desk.
"How about Aria?" Lily pouted while tracing a finger down his chest. "She is your Luna. And she handles the operation of your servers."
Kane scoffed. There was no magical elixir that controlled him. His eyes held no signs of dark sorcery. The man displayed simply unrestrained arrogance.
"Kane said with bored intonation that Aria operates as a mechanical device. She possesses excessive intelligence which makes her unable to function properly."
Every business moment I make gets corrected by her. She makes me feel as though I am working under her authority. But you... He leaned in, kissing Lily's neck. "You make me feel like an Alpha. The person who should accompany me is you. The one who knows how to be a true Queen.
He kissed her deeply. He wiped his thumb across his jawline to remove the red lipstick smear once he pulled away from the kiss.
The old werewolf stories describe a broken mate bond as a sudden emptiness that strikes the heart. They lied. It doesn’t break. It burns.
A searing, agonizing heat originated from my chest center. The wolf inside me thrashed in pain because our protector had committed the ultimate betrayal. The instinct to burst through those doors, to scream and cry and tear Lily away from him, was blinding.
But I didn't push the door open. I took a slow, deep breath and bit down on the inside of my cheek until I tasted copper.
If I confront him now, my mind calculated with sudden, terrifying clarity, he will use his Alpha command to force me into submission. He will identify my pregnancy condition. He will use penthouse confinement to secure his heir while he strips me of my Luna title and transfers my mother's company ownership to Lily.
I stepped back. I can say that I did not cry at all. The naive girl who believed in the magic of fated mates died right there in the hallway. I turned on my heel and walked directly to my private server room at the end of the hall, locking the reinforced steel door behind me.
I sat down at my terminal, my fingers flying across the mechanical keyboard. Kane believed that I functioned as a machine. He thought I was too smart for my own good. He would soon discover that his judgment about me being too intelligent was accurate.
My deceased mother established all digital systems of Silver Moon before her death. Now I possess all master backdoor codes. I breached the main firewalls in less than forty seconds. I accessed the master patent registry, the offshore holding accounts, and the digital blueprints that kept his billionaire empire afloat.
Using a few keystrokes, I began a complete system erase on his device.
A loading bar appeared on my screen.
Transferring Assets to Blind Trust... 45%... 70%...
I tied every single asset and patent to my unique biometric signature. Any unauthorized attempt to access company funds without my physical fingerprint would activate total corporate lockdown.
Transfer Complete. System Encrypted.
Kane's billionaire empire now exists as an empty shell. I took a small silver flash drive from my desk and downloaded the only access key. Then I put it into my pocket together with the positive pregnancy test.
I needed to leave. But I wasn't going to vanish quietly into the night like a victim.
I walked over to the wall-mounted communications panel. The system operated as a PA system which broadcasted throughout the entire building to every floor and to the training area outside. I activated the system to operate through emergency procedures.
I took a deep breath. My voice came out deadly calm, echoing through the speakers of the entire Silver Moon territory.
"I, Aria, Luna of the Silver Moon Pack, formally and publicly reject Alpha Kane as my mate."
The bond between us ended when I spoke those three words. Something inside my body felt like a serrated blade was pushing through my rib cage. I gripped the edge of the panel, gasping for air as black spots danced in my vision. A strange energy that had remained dormant began to surge through my veins. It created a deep ancient warmth that countered the pain which made me remain standing.
I leaned into the microphone one last time.
Kane you are allowed to keep my sister yet you will never succeed in keeping me.
I used a heavy paperweight to smash the console interface because it prevented him from answering back and then I ran to the emergency maintenance stairwell.
The skyscraper behind me exploded into disorder as security alarms activated and the thudding sound of guards' boots reverberated through the upper levels of the building. The executive office emitted a sound which surpassed every other noise with its loud and frightening expression of rage.
Kane.
I exited through the ground-floor door and stepped into the rainy streets of the city. I did not turn back to see the glass tower behind me. I ran directly toward the northern border. I headed directly toward the Dead Zone which contained a high-tech facility with strict security measures.
I headed toward the region which Alpha Kaelen the Lycan King ruled. Kane's most dangerous adversary.
And I was bringing him the keys to Kane's destruction.

I hate girls like her.
Entitled.
Delicate.
And still—
Still.
The image of her standing in the doorway, clutching her cardigan tighter around her narrow shoulders, trying to smile through the awkwardness, won’t leave me.
Neither does the memory of Tyler. Leaving her here without a second thought.
I shouldn’t care.
I don’t care.
It’s not my problem if Tyler’s an idiot.
It’s not my business if some spoiled little princess has to walk home in the dark.
I’m not here to rescue anyone.
Especially not her.
Especially not someone like her.
She’s not my problem.
And I’ll make damn sure she never becomes one.
But when my eyes fell on her lips, I wanted her to be mine.
Alpha Nicholas's Little Mate
What? No—wait… oh Moon Goddess, no.
Please tell me you're joking, Lex.
But she's not. I can feel her excitement bubbling under my skin, while all I feel is dread.
We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.
And then, just as quickly… he sees me.
His expression twists.
"Fuck no."
He turns—and runs.
My mate sees me and runs.

How Not To Fall For A Dragon
Which is why it was more than a little confusing when a letter arrived with my name already printed on a schedule, a dorm waiting, and classes picked out as if someone knew me better than I knew myself. Everyone knows the Academy, it’s where witches sharpen their spells, shifters master their forms, and every kind of magical creature learns to control their gifts.
Everyone except me.
I don’t even know what I am. No shifting, no magic tricks, nothing. Just a girl surrounded by people who can fly, conjure fire, or heal with a touch. So I sit through classes pretending I belong, and I listen hard for any clue that might tell me what’s hidden in my blood.
The only person more curious than me is Blake Nyvas, tall, golden-eyed, and very much a Dragon. People whisper that he’s dangerous, warn me to keep my distance. But Blake seems determined to solve the mystery of me, and somehow I trust him more than anyone else.
Maybe it’s reckless. Maybe it’s dangerous.
But when everyone else looks at me like I don’t belong, Blake looks at me like I’m a riddle worth solving.

Peace lasts exactly one lullaby. This is the story of an orphan pup who became a goddess by choosing her family; of four imperfect alphas learning how to be better. Steamy, fierce, and full of heart, Goddess of the Underworld is a reverse harem, found-family paranormal romance where love writes the rules and keeps three realms from falling apart.
A pack of their own
The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."
New to the world of shifters, Draven is human on the run. A beautiful girl who no one could protect. Domonic is the cold Alpha of the Red Wolf Pack. A brotherhood of twelve wolves that live by twelve rules. Rules which they vowed could NEVER be broken.
Especially - Rule Number One - No Mates
When Draven meets Domonic, he knows that she is his mate, but Draven has no idea what a mate is, only that she has fallen in love with a shifter. An Alpha that will break her heart to make her leave. Promising herself, she will never forgive him, she disappears.
But she doesn’t know about the child she’s carrying or that the moment she left, Domonic decided rules were made to be broken - and now will he ever find her again? Will she forgive him?
The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

Her body ignites. Her instincts scream. And something primal stirs beneath her skin—
summoning a big, bad Alpha who knows exactly how to quench her fire.

She’ll be the dream he keeps chasing… the one thing that ever made him feel alive.

And neither do dreams.
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
Invisible To Her Bully
Falling For The Biker: The Vice President's Girl
His eyes darken, flicking to my mouth.
"It's wrong. Your brother would slit my throat for just standing this close. But tell me, little bird" his breath ghosts my skin, "are you trembling because you hate me… or because you've wanted this just as much as I have?"
Wren thought she'd buried the chaos of New Orleans for good—the clubs, the blood-soaked loyalties, the men who lived and died by their kuttes. Seattle gave her everything she ever wanted: freedom, love, a future.
But one betrayal shatters it all.
Dragged home by tragedy, Wren finds herself under the watchful eye of Ezra Jax—the Raven Reapers MC's vice president and her brother's best friend. He's infuriating, dangerous, and far too tempting for a man she should never touch.
And the deeper Wren is pulled back into his world, the more she realizes nothing about her past—or about Ezra—is what she believed.
In the chaos of gang wars, mounting debts, and old betrayals, he becomes the one constant. The more she fights him, the harder she falls. And the more he pushes her away, the more lethal his pull becomes.
Because in this world, love isn't sweet.
It's brutal. Bloody.
And it's bound to break them both.
When loyalty is everything and love can cost your life, will Wren risk her heart on the one man she was never meant to love?
