Lynn Byrne · Ongoing · 272.6k Words
Introduction
I must doze off because instead of warm water lapping at my pale, soft skin there are three very skilled and hot tongues following the few curves of my body that I do have.
Despite not being able to see who are giving me great pleasure, I feel all of my body begin to shake. One mouth claims mine as a second one sucks one of my nipples while the third mouth envelops my clit.
After fleeing from an orphanage that was the source of constant torment, you find yourself in the land of dragons, the most feared and merciless beings around. You count down the days until you are an adult and can run away. You thought that you caught a break when you were offered a job in the palace until you learned that you were working for the Royal Trio, group of 3 brothers who torment you. However, your life takes an unexpected turn during the Trio’s Grand Ceremony, a coming-of-age party where dragons learn their destiny and mate. Does your life improve or spiral more out of control when your tormentors’ eyes become fixated on you?
Chapter 1
Avery
I don't remember much of my childhood which, in and of itself, could be a blessing in disguise. From what I do recall, a patrol found me, barely clinging to life, lying unconscious in the remains of what was once my parents. I was three then, and now that I’m turning eighteen, I can barely remember their faces. I can, however, remember songs that my mother would sing, about a fierce princess who would save us all. Growing up, I wished that I was that princess; but that was a destiny not meant for me.
As for me now, I grew up an orphan, like many others. I was always picked last for everything and never got adopted. I was an outcast among outcasts. However, one day, five years ago, I was hiding from a group of kids who teased and bullied me, because I was so thin and pale. They called me a leech, a vampire, and a corpse. No matter how hard I tried to hide the hurt, every word pierced my soul. Riddled with invisible scars that will never heal, I sought refuge in a fallen tree. Much to my dismay, the group of tormentors found me. Just as they were ripping my clothes off, two dragons blasted the treetops with their flames.
Everyone ran, including me. After all, based on what I was taught at the orphanage, dragons are known to be one of the most powerful beings in existence, and the most menacing too. I ran as hard as I could, but I was exhausted and tripped. I rolled down a hill, landing at the feet of a woman who was patting down a few embers that were smoldering on her dark green dress. Her eyes were kind and her touch was warm and soft as she helped me to my feet. Her husband came over and healed my scrapes the best he could. He carried me to their modest home in the heart of the Naga Tribe.
June and Anton, the dragon shifters who saved me, officially adopted me a few weeks later, after they obtained approval from the nobles. My new parents were farmers for the tribe and the nobles were whom the tribe served. The lands weren't always plentiful but I was fortunate enough to get a job in the tribe. I didn’t want to be a burden to the two people who kindly raised me as their own. However, I let fear get the better of me and tried to run away. Luckily, the tribe took pity on me and gave me a job working for the nobles. At first, I started out as a maid assigned to clean the common areas, soon I was promoted to be the Royal Concierge. I am basically a cook exclusively for The Trio, but they often force me to do other things including their homework. Having the title of Royal Concierge sounds far better than being called a servant or kitchen bitch too.
“Avery! Why isn't my shirt pressed,” Clint roared.
“Where is my phone? Avery, get in here now,” Conner bellowed from his room.
Then there was banging on the wall, “Avery, get your pathetic ass out of your room and make my fucking breakfast. You had better not make me late. You know how angry Asher gets,” Cassius threatened.
I often regret accepting my newest position as their exclusive cook in the palace but it pays better and allows me more places to hide than at my old home with my adoptive parents. Unfortunately, it means that I am in contact with the Royal Trio of Clint, Conner, and Cassius Draco all the more. They have always made my life difficult, but now even more so, as graduation approaches and their Grand Ceremony along with it.
All young dragons fantasize about their Grand Ceremony. The ceremony is the gateway to a dragon’s destiny whether it is to ascend to the throne or find their fated mate. I have no dragon, so I have no delusions that some ceremony will determine my destiny. I am just a poor, pathetic human counting down the days until I graduate and then I can run away forever. I don't belong in this land of dragons. Maybe I don't belong anywhere. There have been many times that I thought about giving up and taking my own life, but something always happened to prevent me from succeeding. I either was summoned to go cook for The Trio, a teacher messaged me, or someone asked for my help. Either it is just dumb luck or maybe it is the spirits of my parents looking out for me. But maybe I am just too inept to kill myself.
I sigh as I drag myself out of bed. I don't bother fixing my sheets. Instead, I pull the comforter over the crumpled mess. I rarely get a good night’s sleep because I always seem to wake up in a cold sweat entangled in my sheets. I never remember what I dream of though. Perhaps, that's a good thing. I quickly pull on a plain white dress and my tattered flats before I try to brush my knotted brown hair. I don't bother with makeup because nothing could change my porcelain paper-thin skin just as nothing could enhance my flat chest. I do look like a living skeleton because I can never gain weight despite how much I eat. My skin never tans no matter how much sunlight I expose myself to. Over the years, I have given up trying to blend in. I haven’t been accepted in this world and perhaps I never will.
Conner Draco is the most docile of the triplets, so I decided to tackle his request first. As I suspected, his phone is on the charger and not on his bedside table. Without a word, I approached him with the phone in my hand. I keep my eyes down as I extend my hand out to him. He snatches it up before he shoves me out of the door. At least he didn't ridicule me as he has done since the day I was brought into the palace.
I decided to accomplish Clint’s and Cassius’s requests simultaneously. I might be weak and pathetic without a dragon but I have learned to multitask and be resourceful. When you are a lamb among wolves, you quickly learn to survive. I just need to hold out until the end of my senior year and my eighteenth birthday. Then I can leave Momma June and Papa Anton with a nice nest egg and I can retreat far from here and never see a dragon again. I just have to endure one hundred and eighty more days of school which means twenty-five more Mondays of hell. I roll my eyes as I let out a sigh, I hate Mondays.

Bound by the Dragon Mafia
The head chef looked like he was silently praying for death.
I rushed forward. “Amara. Stop traumatizing these poor people.”
She spun around, delighted. “Sera! Good, you’re here. Taste this. It’s missing despair.”
The chef’s face morphed into existential crisis.
I grabbed her arm. “Put the spatula down.”
“But—”
“Down.”
With exaggerated offense, she dropped the spatula and muttered, “Fine. But if no one here has artistic vision, that’s not my fault.”
She went undercover to expose a mafia empire.
He offered her thirty nights to save her life.
When investigative journalist Seraphine Vale steps into the glittering underworld ruled by billionaire crime lord Dante Vescari, she thinks she’s chasing a story about missing women and corruption.
Instead, she uncovers a secret older than blood—an empire built on fire, sin, and dragons.
Bound to Dante by a forbidden pact, Seraphine finds herself caught between fear and desire, truth and temptation.

What the Heart Wants (Book 1 of the Alpha Faros Series)
Not loving him will cost more.
Derek has one goal: survive high school without drawing too much attention or pissing off his pack’s alpha.
As the youngest son of the alpha, his life is governed by lycan hierarchy, tradition, and politics. With no signs of awakening a lycan spirit, his only value is what he can do for the pack’s image. He knows he’s only ever one misstep away from exile… or worse.
Then, he finds a boy trapped in a locker on orientation day, and everything changes.
Derek shouldn’t want Nikolias. He’s off-limits. A risk Derek can’t afford.
So why does it feel like he’s the only thing worth fighting for?
Nikolias has just lost everything: his parents, his home, and any sense of peace. Sent back to the town his family left years ago to live with his prejudiced and controlling uncle, who wants nothing to do with anything—or anyone—not human, he’s trying to do everything in his power to get out quickly.
But then he meets Derek again, and all of his plans vanish in the soft, yearning flecks of gold in Derek’s green-hazel eyes. He’s drawn to Derek in a way that’s impossible to deny, and he thinks Derek feels the same way, despite the danger their relationship holds for him.
As Moonshadow's politics turn deadly, Derek and Nikolai are caught in the crossfire of a war that had started long before they were born, and their bond becomes a threat and a lifeline that neither can afford to sever.
Because the heart wants what it wants….
And it never asks permission.

Old wounds reopen, grief masquerades as rage, and love refuses to stay buried. But Kael is not the only Alpha bound to her.
Finn, her childhood best friend and the rising Alpha, loves her with a devotion so fierce, he spends four years locked away in the most ruthless dungeon only to keep her safe.
Xander, a rogue wolf who can make even Alphas bow to his will, has waited centuries for her to be reborn, and he has no intention of losing her again.
Three Alphas.
Three claims.
One cursed destiny.
They called her wolfless. They thought she was weak. But she is done hiding, and this time, she's rewriting the rules.
I Found the Babies
"When..." He growled in my ear, "When we will be getting married, I will be your only king, do you get my point? Only one queen, no misters or mistresses. Just me, just you, and yeah, our babies."
I shivered.
Alyssa Reynolds found herself in a situation, while returning home from work, and she had three choices:
Simply walk away and forget that you ever heard the sound of wailing infants.
Call the police and inform them about the innocent wails.
Follow the sounds of the wails and take the matter in your hands, deciding what to do later.
Being a kindhearted soul and a sucker for babies, she found herself choosing the third option, finding the two little lives.
Two little lives that changed her whole life, her love life included. Her life now revolved around the babies as diapers, vomit and shit seemed to surround her.
Just when she thought that now it's just her and the babies, her whole world flipped over and she found herself living under the same roof as the egotistical, obnoxious and hot-as-hell Terence Powers, the business tycoon who was not going to let the woman fend off for herself and the babies alone.
Ruined : You will always be mine.
“Fuckkk”, I couldn’t help but scream.
“You need to learn to be obedient” he said as he kept thrusting into me. When I felt his hands on my clit my body shook.
“Asher please, it’s too much”.
“No. if I really wanted to punish you, I would give you all of me”, he said against my ears and my entire body froze. Suddenly he moved and I was standing again. This man was insane.
I felt him behind me. “Ten Lashes for your disobedience”, he said
“Asher please”,
“No”. His voice was cold and void of any emotion.
Asher was what I wanted , what I truly craved until it was too late. An orphan should never fall in love with someone out of their reach. I thought loving him was the right thing to do until he revealed his true identity and Ruined me. I was ruined for everyone one else . I could still feel his touch, it was as if it was etched into my skin. I tired to avoid him but fate wouldn't let it happen.
The Sterling's were the most powerful in Havenwood and Dorian Sterling was off limits.
As an orphan finding out you still have people looking for you is hard to take but when it turns out to be people of wealth and standing I took the other road and ran, but running led me right back to the place I was avoiding and the person I was avoiding.
Asher and Dorling Sterling one and the same. When his first love shows up and along with everyone that has set out to ruin me, I prayed that he could protect me.
The Alpha Who Hated Me
"Why isn't it working?" he demands.
"Because it's real," I whisper. "Whether you want it or not."
"Then I'll make it clear another way," he says.
He turns to address the entire cafeteria. His voice carries to every corner of the room.
"Let me be perfectly clear," he announces. "She's not my mate. She's not my anything. She's just a sad little girl who needs to learn her place."
The silence that follows is deafening. Hundreds of students stare at me with pity. With disgust. With relief that they're not in my position.
I sit there shaking. My wolf curls up in a corner of my mind and whimpers.
But he's not our mate anymore. He made that clear.
He's nothing to me.
She came to survive. He was born to rule. Fate made them mates. And that’s where the nightmare began.

She expected whispers. Glares. Even cruelty.
