Chapter 1
SOFIA
Fire...
All I see is fire; surrounding me like I was cursed to have my life burn to the ground before my very eyes.
I could only imagine what it was like for my parents. I could still hear their screams each time I close my eyes.
“Why did I leave the house that night just to watch the moon? Why?” I voiced out, out of my deep rooted thoughts.
If only I could turn back the hands of time……..
I sighed out.
“Maybe this was just my fate. To live my 20s with no guardian and nobody to care for me,” I said as I gulped the tequila shot in front of me.
Whatever the barman had mixed in the cup, it was one hell of a try. “You should have more, babes,” my friend, Kiki, uttered as she adjusted her dress to expose her cleavages.
“What are you doing?” I smirked.
“Girl, are you blind?” She said, saving off her hand at the whole place. “Its groovy in here. These dudes needs to see there is a hot chick in session,” she said.
Another slang of hers I was used to hearing. The “hookers’ code” she called it.
“Come join in, babes. These men have a lot of money. Just shake your ass and the gold is yours,” she said, smacking her lips.
“Kiki…just go…” I smirked.
She was the only thing I have close to family. The friend I was opportune to have….just when I thought I was all alone, circumstances brought us close.
She was the most popular in the streets and every hustling girl respected her.
“How long are we going to be here for?” I uttered. But there was no response. It was then I realized she wasn't even paying attention anymore.
She kept winking at every single man that walked in.
“Here, drink up, babes. I don't want to see you brooding over nothing. What you have in front of you is the end to your sorrows,” she said as he handed over the whole Tequila bottle in her hands and danced her way to one of the men.
I shook my head.
Maybe she was right. I can't afford to let what I went through weigh me down. Losing my parents in that fire was one tragic event I never pray to go through again.
“This would do…” I said, as I shut my eyes tightly and drank up.
Suddenly I felt a light tap on my shoulder but I didn't turn. My butts were stuck to the soft cushion chair at the club and my neck refuses to leave its axis as I was already feeling dizzy.
I felt the tap again but this time around, a sweet smelling cologne followed suit and a young man dressed in a fine brown leather jacket appeared in front of him.
“Hello beautiful…can I buy you a drink?” His baritone voice shut out the music playing at the background and I smiled….
“Uhmm…yes,” I blushed.
His eyes were piercing my soul as he kept this seducing stare, his stance was so manly and I felt like he was a shed whose arms I could hide under.
“What's a gorgeous girl doing all by herself in a club like this?” He said as he gently placed his hands on my thighs.
I felt I had the perfect choice wearing this black short dress. The slits by the side exposed my legs to the outside world. “It definitely must have caught his eyes,” I thought in my head.
I was about to point to Kiki, to tell him I came with her but looking in that direction, Kiki was busy rocking some guy and I just looked away.
“I just came to have a drink here,” I answered slowly.
The drinks were kicking so fast and I could hear my own speech slowing down as they escape my lips.
I could feel him browsing my thighs as he whispers sweet words in my ears…”You are a new wine, I could tell. Everything about you brings glamour and I don't want to lose it.”
Those were the first time such lovely words had been said to me. I smiled, I blushed, I laughed. Infact, I did every single thing that he could see as a green light.
Everything about him seems so perfect or my lustful eyes signaled.
“Why are you so fine?” I said, caressing his cheeks with my hands.
He chuckled. “You must be seeing yourself through my eyes, lady cause you are the catch here, not me,” he uttered in a sweet tone.
We had a laugh and we kept drinking like the liquids were meant for our bodies alone.
“I need to use the restroom,” I said.
I stood with the intention of walking majestically with my heels but gravity failed me and I saw myself trip but I was caught fortunately.
“Let me help you,” he said, carrying me in his muscular and comfort arms.
Maybe I was drunk. Maybe I was not but all of a sudden, I no longer felt the need to go to the restroom.
I relaxed in his arms and leaned over slightly to give him a kiss on the cheeks.
He dropped me at the entrance, looked into my eyes and before I knew, his hands grasped my waist and he pulled me a closer like a dog to the bone.
We kissed passionately. His hands were all over my body and I became aroused that minute.
He lifted me off the ground and I could remember how his curly hair found their way to my hands as he laid me on the bed gently.
“What do you want from me?” I muttered.
The reason I asked the question still baffles me but I sure hoped for an answer.
He looked straight into my eyes and I saw his lips moved but I couldn't hear a thing.
“Uhh?” I spoke slowly.
Before I could say more, the whole place went dark and I blacked out…

Accidentally Crossing the Tycoon
Four years ago, the Bailey family faced a devastating financial crisis.
Just when bankruptcy seemed inevitable, a mysterious benefactor emerged, offering salvation with one condition: a contract marriage.
Rumors swirled about this enigmatic man—whispers claimed he was hideously ugly and too ashamed to show his face, possibly harboring dark, twisted obsessions.
Without hesitation, the Baileys sacrificed me to protect their precious biological daughter, forcing me to take her place as a pawn in this cold, calculated arrangement.
Luckily, in those four years, the mysterious husband never asked to meet in person.
Now, in the final year of our arrangement, the husband I've never met is demanding we meet face to face.
But disaster struck the night before my return—drunk and disoriented, I stumbled into the wrong hotel room and ended up sleeping with the legendary financial mogul, Caspar Thornton.
What the hell am I supposed to do now?

The first half is set in high school, and the second half is set during their college years. Hope you enjoy the journey!
This is a slow-paced story, focused more on emotions, healing, and the small moments in life rather than intense action or dramatic twists.

I hope ordinary Clara, ordinary Adrian, and all of us ordinary people can find the happiness we deserve.
Pregnant by My Husband's Rival Alpha
Those words should have destroyed me, but the truth was worse: I'd been used as a broodmare by the man who swore to love me, set up in a hotel room with a stranger because My husband Alexander Cross couldn't father children himself, and now I carried the secret babies of Damon Lester—the most powerful and dangerous Alpha in San Loris—while my own family replaced me with the daughter they'd always wanted. But when that same stranger's doctor appeared at my door, when twenty million dollars exchanged hands over a fake perfume bearing my secret identity, and when Damon's gray eyes locked onto mine with recognition I couldn't afford, I realized my carefully hidden life as the legendary perfumer Vera was colliding with a pregnancy that could cost me everything.
Could I protect my babies from the husband plotting my death, hide my true identity from the Alpha who's been hunting me for years, and reclaim the freedom I'd buried along with my dreams—even if it means standing alone against the wolves who see me as nothing more than a womb to be used and discarded?

He used one of his hands to stroke my cheek and tingles erupted everywhere.
