Introduction
That’s when she crosses paths with Kelvin Zee. He is everything she’s not: disciplined, powerful, respected, and blind. At first, Shantel doesn’t know how to feel about him. He’s cold and intimidating, but there’s something magnetic about him, something that makes her want to stay. Kelvin offers her a job as his personal chef, and though she doubts herself, she takes it.
Chapter 1
Waking up has always been a challenge for me. It’s the reason I was always late for school and why I got expelled twice in high school. Eventually everyone got used to my very abnormal late disorder. They call it African time. If you tell me to meet you at eleven, I’ll arrive an hour later. I’m not punctual at all.
I was supposed to be at work an hour ago, but I was still speeding through traffic, praying it would magically move. After a long and exhausting fifteen minutes, I finally got there. I put my apron on in a hurry and rushed to the workers’ room so the manager wouldn’t see me.
“Shanty! Shanty!”
Shit. He saw me, and he looked furious.
“I’m so sorry,” I said quickly. “My cat died this morning and I had to go bury it. I lost track of time.”
The manager frowned. “Didn’t your cat die last week?”
Argh. I’d used that excuse before.
“I had two cats. They’re both dead now,” I muttered.
He sighed. “Go to the head office. The boss is waiting for you.”
My heart dropped. I’d been working here for a month and had never even seen the boss. I knew what was coming. I was going to get fired again. At this point, I’d been fired so many times it didn’t even hurt anymore.
I bumped my head on the door as I walked in and cursed under my breath.
“You’re such a mess for a beautiful lady like you,” the boss said from behind his desk.
I smiled awkwardly while rubbing my forehead.
“I’m sorry this has to happen,” he continued, “but you’re fired, Shanty. You’re always late for work, you’re clumsy, and you break almost every piece of equipment we own. Don’t get me wrong, you’re a good cook. The best we’ve ever had. But you’re more of a curse than a blessing. This is the salary you were supposed to receive this month. Please leave with immediate effect.”
I took the money quietly and walked out without saying goodbye to anyone. Well, goodbye to my chef job. I failed to be a librarian, I failed to be a waitress, I failed to be a chef. What’s next? There has to be something because I need a job. I’m twenty-five years old. I need a proper job.
The worst part is, I don’t even want to work, but my parents cut me off. They said it’s time I learned to take care of myself. I don’t even blame them. I’ve been spoiled since birth. I couldn’t even do my own laundry until a few months ago. I only learned how to cook when they tossed me into an apartment in Glenwood, took my BMW, and gave me a small Kia.
It’s a three-bedroom apartment that I pay for myself until I got a roommate, my cousin. I also pay for the fuel in my car. Mind you, I still need to buy groceries and personal stuff. How am I supposed to do that without a job? And if I call my parents, my father will say, “Shanty, find yourself and find your purpose in life.”
What is my purpose? I’m clumsy, disorganized, lazy, and a boring young woman. I’m thick and short, dark-skinned with long hair I call my natural weave. I’m twenty-five years old, born on the first of January, the only child, and my parents have basically left me to struggle in Glenwood while they enjoy life in Cape Town.
My name is Shantel Leaster, and this is my story.
Yesterday I spent the entire day being shouted at by Loveness, my cousin, for losing my job again. It’s not my fault I can’t keep a job for more than two weeks while she’s had the same job for two years and is still studying. I don’t have a degree. When I finished high school, I was done with school forever. I failed matric, never upgraded, never tried. Not all of us are academically gifted. I failed grade eleven and had to repeat it. Worst year of my life. I hate school with everything in me.
This morning I did my routine and took my CV with me. I knew I wouldn’t get a job. I was only doing it so Loveness wouldn’t scream at me again. Honestly, even I wouldn’t hire me. My former employers definitely have nothing good to say.
The first restaurant I walked into was hiring, but the manager looked me up and down and said, “Are you seriously looking for a job? People who are serious don’t come at this time dressed like that.”
Like, what was wrong with looking for a job at 1 pm while wearing Air Force sneakers, a Gucci T-shirt and a Prada bag? Those are my everyday clothes. He made it seem like I’m a snob. And honestly, I’d never wake up at 6 am to look for a job. I’d rather not work.
Most places judged me by my CV or didn’t even let me speak.
“This is the last one,” I muttered. “I’m done after this.”
I was starving and tired. I parked my car, left my expensive bag behind this time, and walked into the last restaurant. It was beautiful, classy, high-standard.
A waiter approached me. “May I help you, ma’am?”
“Hi,” I said. “I’m looking for your manager or boss. Someone who does the hiring.”
“Let me take you to the office. Follow me.”
I thanked him and followed him. When we got there, two men in black suits were inside. Both wore black shades. One sat behind the desk while the other stood beside him. Boss and bodyguard, maybe.
“Good afternoon, gentlemen,” I said politely.
Silence.
I cleared my throat. Still nothing.
I was about to turn around and leave when the man sitting down finally spoke.
“Sit down.”
“You heard the boss,” the other added. “Sit down.”
I sat quietly and looked at both of them.
“What do you want, young lady?” the boss asked.
“I’m looking for a job,” I replied, handing him my CV.
The bodyguard took it and flipped through it. “It doesn’t look good at all, boss.”
The boss nodded. “What position are you applying for?”
“I want to be a chef. I was a chef at my last job.”
“And how long did that last?” he asked.
“A month.”
“Why?”
I cleared my throat. “Let’s just say… I’m a little too clumsy. But I’m good at what I do.”

I squeezed my eyes shut.
"Dani," he pressed. "Do you get me?"
"No, Austin, I don't," I admitted as I pulled my robe closed again and sat up. "You confuse me."
He dragged his hands down his face. "Tell me what's on your mind."
I sighed. "You're everything my parents warned me against. You're secretive, but you're also honest. I feel wholly protected by you, but then you scare me more than anyone I've ever known. You're a bad boy, but when I dated a so-called good one, he turned out to be the devil, so, yeah, I don't get you because you're not what I expected. You drive me crazier than anyone I've ever met, but then you make me feel complete. I'm feeling things I don't quite know how to process and that makes me want to run. I don't want to give up something that might be really, really good, but I also don't want to be stupid and fall for a boy just because he's super pretty and makes me come."

Accardi
“I thought you said you were done chasing me?” Gen mocked.
“I am done chasing you.”
Before she could formulate a witty remark, Matteo threw her down. She landed hard on her back atop his dining room table. She tried to sit up when she noticed what he was doing. His hands were working on his belt. It came free of his pants with a violent yank. She collapsed back on her elbows, her mouth gaping open at the display. His face was a mask of sheer determination, his eyes were a dark gold swimming with heat and desire. His hands wrapped around her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the table. He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”
“You…” she breathed.
Genevieve loses a bet she can’t afford to pay. In a compromise, she agrees to convince any man her opponent chooses to go home with her that night. No, Matteo Accardi, Don of one of the largest gangs in New York City doesn’t do one night stands. Not with her anyway.

From Substitute To Queen
Heartbroken, Sable discovered Darrell having sex with his ex in their bed, while secretly transferring hundreds of thousands to support that woman.
Even worse was overhearing Darrell laugh to his friends: "She's useful—obedient, doesn't cause trouble, handles housework, and I can fuck her whenever I need relief. She's basically a live-in maid with benefits." He made crude thrusting gestures, sending his friends into laughter.
In despair, Sable left, reclaimed her true identity, and married her childhood neighbor—Lycan King Caelan, nine years her senior and her fated mate. Now Darrell desperately tries to win her back. How will her revenge unfold?
From substitute to queen—her revenge has just begun!
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
Badass in Disguise
"Jade, I need to check your—" the nurse began.
"OUT!" I snarled with enough force that both women backed toward the door.
Once feared by Shadow Organization that drugged me to replicate my abilities into a more controllable version, I had escaped my restraints and detonated their entire facility, ready to die alongside my captors.
Instead, I woke up in a school infirmary with women arguing around me, their voices piercing my skull. My outburst froze them in shock—clearly they hadn't expected such a reaction. One woman threatened as she left, "We'll discuss this attitude when you get home."
The bitter truth? I've been reborn into the body of an overweight, weak, and supposedly dim-witted high school girl. Her life is filled with bullies and tormentors who've made her existence miserable.
But they have no idea who they're dealing with now.
I didn't survive as the world's deadliest assassin by allowing anyone to push me around. And I certainly won't start now.

My Possessive Alpha Twins For Mate
My drunk stepfather remained indifferent, his weight suffocating, making it hard to breathe as my heart raced.

"Get off her!" a deafening roar echoed.

The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."
