I Seize the Trillion Empire While My Son Fights for Life
Chau · Completed · 10.8k Words
Introduction
My son suddenly fell critically ill, and the only matching organ was locked in my wife's family's cold storage. I stormed into the company with my critically ill child, only to be met with a severe suspension notice.
Everyone thought I was some lowly social outcast, someone they could crush at any moment.
Until I pulled out that dusty badge, my father-in-law, who controlled a New York business empire, was so terrified that he cleared the room on the spot, his legs going weak.
"Arrange surgery for my son immediately." I looked at him coldly. "If he misses the optimal transplant window, I guarantee your entire family, and this city, will be executed for him."
Chapter 1
Leo, nestled in her arms, breathed so faintly that it sounded like a kite string about to snap.
This is my own flesh and blood. And I, I was once the "God of War of Asura" who struck fear into the hearts of people on the global dark web. Five years ago, in order to give Sophia a stable home, I sealed away that blood-stained handsome uniform and willingly married into the Harrington family, living in anonymity as a low-level architectural draftsman.
But I never expected that my concession would result in my wife's betrayal and my son's life hanging by a thread.
Leo suffered a sudden acute organ failure, and the only matching donor organ was locked in the cold storage of a private medical foundation under the Harrington Group. Access to it required the signature of a core member of the Harrington family with the highest authority.
Sophia, the woman who should nominally take on the responsibility of being a mother, has been out of contact for a whole month because of her lover!
I had no choice but to carry my critically ill son and force my way into the Harrington Group headquarters.
"Smack!"
A suspension notice bearing the company's official seal was slapped hard across my face in front of dozens of people.
"Get out of Harrington Corporation with your bastard child!" Grant, the newly appointed secretary in the president's office, pointed at my nose, his face full of sneer. "James, what do you think the company is? A shelter? You think you can cover up your absenteeism by bringing a dying little bastard to play the victim?"
None of my colleagues stepped forward; instead, they cast scornful glances, like knives scraping across me and the weakened Leo.
I didn't bend down to pick up the suspension notice, and I didn't even glance at Grant.
Five years ago, on the battlefield of Shura, anyone who dared to speak to me in this tone would be a headless corpse by now. But right now, saving Leo's life is more important than crushing an ant.
I held Leo firmly with one hand, covered his burning ears with the other, and turned to walk straight to the elevator.
Just as the elevator doors were about to close, a hand wearing expensive cufflinks suddenly shoved in and forcibly pried the elevator doors open.
Grant, furious, blocked the doorway, glaring at me menacingly: "James Chen, have you lost your mind? That's the chairman's and core board's private meeting room! Do you think Mr. Robert would meet with a lowly scoundrel like you?"
I stared coldly at his arrogant face, the murderous aura he had suppressed for five years finally revealing itself in a glimpse.
The surrounding temperature seemed to drop to freezing point instantly.
Then, I raised my hand, pulled out the badge from my clothes, and shoved it right in front of Grant's eyes.
He glanced at it subconsciously, and his previous contemptuous sneer instantly froze on his face. His pupils contracted sharply, his Adam's apple bobbed, and his legs trembled uncontrollably under the pressure I inadvertently released.
That 's the Harrington family crest, which Sophia gave to me when she was pregnant.
"Did you see that clearly?" I looked at him expressionlessly. "Get lost."
While he lay there paralyzed as if he'd seen a ghost, I pressed the close button. The heavy metal door slammed shut, completely shutting out the barking dog.
The elevator ascended rapidly.
Stepping out of the elevator, I was met by the double walnut doors where the core morning meeting was being held. Just as the two top-tier mercenary security guards at the door were about to draw their guns to stop me, my eyes sharpened, and I kicked the door hard.
The loud noise shook the entire conference room. On either side of the long table, a dozen or so executives in suits turned around simultaneously, their faces filled with shock. The man seated at the head of the table frowned deeply, his eyes sharp enough to kill.
That was the man who controlled the entire New York business empire—Robert Harrington, chairman of the Harrington Corporation.
Ignoring the dozens of bodyguards around me who had drawn their weapons, and under the oppressive gazes of all the powerful figures in the room, I walked straight to the priceless mahogany conference table.
I carefully placed the pale-faced, breathing-impaired Leo on the table, braced my hands on the edge of the table, leaned forward, and stared intently into Robert's eyes.
"Robert, this is your grandson."
My voice wasn't loud, but it carried an undeniable air of authority, each word carrying immense weight: "Your daughter has been missing for a month, and she's in acute organ failure. Immediately issue the highest-level authorization to open your medical foundation's cold storage and mobilize organs. You have to take on this mess today, whether you like it or not!"
The silence lasted only a second before the entire conference room erupted in chaos.
"Who do you think you are, daring to order the chairman around!"
"Guards! Shoot this madman who's spouting such nonsense dead on the spot!"
A group of reckless executives slammed their fists on the table and roared. Several heavily armed bodyguards, each nearly two meters tall, strode forward, attempting to forcibly subdue me.
I didn't even turn my head, just gave a cold snort. With just a glance, those battle-hardened guards felt as if they had fallen into an ice cave, pinned to the spot by an invisible, terrifying killing intent, unable to move an inch!
Ignoring this bunch of good-for-nothings, I suddenly raised my head and roared at Robert:
"Look into his eyes! Look now!"
Robert was startled, and his gaze involuntarily fell on Leo on the table.
Because of the noise around him, Leo groggily opened his eyes. They were extremely rare eyes, like the finest emeralds.
The moment Robert saw those eyes, he felt as if he had been struck by lightning. His breath caught in his throat, and the rage in his eyes receded like a tide, replaced by utter shock and disbelief—the color and shape of those pupils were exactly like those of his deceased wife and daughter Sophia in their youth!
“Step back…” Robert’s voice was hoarse, with a barely perceptible tremor.
The head of the secret guards was stunned: "Chairman, but he..."
"I said, everyone get out! Everyone, get out of the conference room right now!" Robert swung his solid gold cane and gave the order in an unquestionable tone.
In less than ten seconds, the huge conference room was cleared out. Only the three of us remained in the room.
Robert slumped back into his leather swivel chair, his arrogance as a powerful tycoon largely gone. He stared at me like a bewildered old lion.
"Don't try to fool me with a few similarities. Prove it to me," he said coldly.
I expressionlessly pulled a waterproof document bag from my inner pocket and slammed it down in front of him.
Inside were the marriage certificate and Leo's birth certificate, with "Sophia Harrington" clearly printed in the mother's section.
And the only text message Sofia replied to on my phone: "Taking care of the child is your business, don't bother me with these trivial matters."
Robert reached for the birth certificate, his withered fingers turning white from the force. He stared intently at the name on it, his chest heaving.
But he was an extremely suspicious hunter. In front of me, he picked up the secure red landline on the table.
"Tell Dr. Stone to bring emergency equipment to my office! Save this child's life immediately!"
"Furthermore, have security lock all passageways and elevators on this floor. Not even a fly is allowed to escape!"
After hanging up the phone, while I was comforting Leo, his bodyguard swiftly plucked two hairs with follicles still attached from Leo's head.
I knew he was going to get an expedited paternity test, but I watched coldly without even flinching.
Robert slowly walked up to me, leaning on his cane, his gaze as cold as a knife: "You are not allowed to leave anywhere until the DNA results are in. If it's a hoax, I'll make you realize that even death is a luxury."
I met his gaze, a bloodthirsty smirk curling at the corner of my lips.
“Robert, you better pray that the DNA test results are in half an hour and that my son’s surgery is scheduled immediately.” I leaned slightly forward and said in a dangerous tone that only he could understand, “If my son misses the optimal time for transplantation… I guarantee that the entire Harrington family, and this city, will pay for it.”

Accardi
“I thought you said you were done chasing me?” Gen mocked.
“I am done chasing you.”
Before she could formulate a witty remark, Matteo threw her down. She landed hard on her back atop his dining room table. She tried to sit up when she noticed what he was doing. His hands were working on his belt. It came free of his pants with a violent yank. She collapsed back on her elbows, her mouth gaping open at the display. His face was a mask of sheer determination, his eyes were a dark gold swimming with heat and desire. His hands wrapped around her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the table. He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”
“You…” she breathed.
