Introduction
Time passes, and Antonella, a young human who has always felt an inexplicable connection to the ocean, becomes the vessel of revenge. When that prophetic night arrives and Antonella loses her virginity, Phoebe returns from the dead and takes over her body, awakening from a long and dark sleep. Aware of her mission, Phoebe confronts her former life and the ghosts of the past, and there she encounters a Triton demon—her lost love from the past: Colle, now a 44-year-old demon man of the ocean, marked by the pain of her departure. He has now joined Salomé, the witch of the ocean.
Delving into a world full of magic and betrayal, Phoebe must face Salomé, who has intensified her reign of terror over the mermaid kingdom. With Antonella's help and the allies she will make along the way, Phoebe will fight to reclaim her place and enact her revenge, all while striving to reconnect with her true love in a climax that could change their destinies forever.
Chapter 1
Phoebe felt a special connection to water, but unlike the other mermaids, she saw water as a portal, as an element that not only provided her with oxygen and was part of her, but also as a magical message that allowed her to connect with timelines, to know the past and the future, and sometimes to discover other worlds.
Every morning upon waking, she used to place lotus flowers on the surface of the ocean, on an arch of rocks and corals that bordered a small stream coming from the sea. It was Phoebe’s private place where humans had no access, and other magical beings did not approach, for all of Phoebe’s possessions, material goods, and properties were protected by very powerful magic. In addition to being a mermaid, she was a descendant of Celtic fairies, and her fairy godmother in particular protected her; her fairy godmother Sybyla felt a special affection for Phoebe because she had inherited the gift of clairvoyance and of making plants grow. She could also manipulate water and make it take on a particular shape.
Phoebe lay on a rock in her personal private spot, lying on her back on a stone, feeling the warm rays of the sun caressing her back, and thinking of Cold and how much she wished to feel his warm hands, so similar to the rays of the sun. At that moment, the silhouette of a man appeared from among the palm trees; he wasn’t wearing a hoodie, but he was dressed in jeans and immaculate sneakers. His eyes were a light hazel color that seemed to merge into his honey-colored iris under the sunlight. He was a really tall man, and his arms were strong and large. I smiled and felt a warm flush on my lips that spread to my cheeks; I bit my lips while looking at him with a smile.
-
“Hello, pussycat mermaid,” said Cold as he sat on the rock.
-
“I was just thinking about you,” I said in a whisper.
-
“I know, I can feel when you think of me; I just have a hunch,” said Cold.
I let out a playful smile and raised an eyebrow.
-
“Really? And what were you thinking?”
-
“I felt how you desire me. I know you want my hands to touch your body in the same way my heart touches yours.”
-
“I know, it’s a secret between my body and my spirit.”
-
“And with my spirit, because now I know how much you want to give me your body,” said Cold, moving so close that my heart began to race.
-
“Cold, you know I’m saving my honor for my wedding.”
-
“Phoebe, as soon as you get married, we will never be together again.”
-
“I know, Cold, but we need a little more time to figure out how we can be together, even if my step-grandma doesn’t allow you to be close to me.”
-
“Why don’t we give her a good reason to let us be close to each other?”
-
“What do you mean?”
-
“If we are together, Phoebe, if you give me the honor of being your man, our stepmother or anyone in this realm could keep us apart; we will be together for eternity.”
-
“I understand. Or do you just want to deceive me to take me as your woman?”
-
“Phoebe, I could never do that; you know I love you. Don’t you? I could fight against dragons, demons, and the very evil itself just to protect you and ensure you are safe.”
-
“Okay, we can be together tomorrow night; it’s Halloween night, and it will be special.”
-
“Are you sure?”
-
“Yes,” I answered him, looking directly into his hazel, shining, wild eyes.
-
“And you?”
-
“I have never been more certain about anything in my life. I want you, and I want you forever,” said Cold.
I could feel a fiery warmth rising up my mermaid tail and reaching my hips with each word from Cold. I loved him too and fervently desired to feel like his woman.
-
“Okay,” I said seriously, and for the first time, I had no doubts about saying it—“We will make love.”
-
“After our union, your stepmother will accept me as your consort.”
-
“Then so be it; I will be with you,” I said in a whisper.
Cold stretched out his hand and caressed my cheek.
- “Tomorrow night, I will prepare something special for you,” said Cold.
That night, when I arrived in my room, I lay on my shell-shaped marine bed, but I couldn’t forget the feeling I had with Cold that morning. Soon I would be his woman. I felt an overwhelming urge to masturbate, but I was in the depths of the ocean with my mermaid tail; I couldn’t transform into a human unless I took a potion, of which I had plenty among my cosmetics and perfumes. Whenever I wished, I could transform.
But perhaps swimming to the surface and transforming into a human while breathing in the cool night breeze would be more suitable for masturbation. I was about to swim to the surface when I heard a knock on my room door. I swam over and opened the door.
It was my stepmother, majestic, dressed in silver pearls that adorned her crown, and gold necklaces decorated her mermaid waist, just like the shells on her breasts.
-
“Dear Phoebe, I’m glad to find you awake.”
-
“Selene, what a surprise,” I replied. “Come in.”
-
“I wish to talk to you about a particular topic.”
-
“Tell me, what is it?”
-
“Your wedding to Patrick. I want to be sure you’re making the right choice.”
-
“Selene, you don’t need to worry. I know it’s your wish for me to marry a good man to fulfill my duties as queen.”
-
“And so it shall be. There is nothing I desire more than to fulfill your father’s last mandate: for you to marry and become the queen of Oceania. I do not sleep peacefully knowing that you are not yet the queen. Far from wanting to take your place, Phoebe, what I want most is to fulfill your father’s request, for he was the man I loved.”
-
“I know, dear Selene, and I know you would never have hidden intentions. But now that you’ve brought it up, why do you want Patrick to be the king of Oceania? Wouldn’t it be better for me to marry for love like you and my father did?”
-
“Honey, it’s very different. Your father was the King of Oceania, a brave and worthy man.”
-
“I can find a man with those qualities without your help, Selene; I am no longer a child.”
-
“You are. You think you’re not, but you are only 17 years old. You are innocent, and the world is full of men with bad intentions.”
-
“I can choose. You did.”
-
“I want you to choose Patrick; give him a chance to enter your heart, will you promise me?”
-
“Alright.”
Selene rose from the bed with great elegance and kissed my forehead. Her mermaid tail was a very intense and shiny burgundy red, like rubies. She left the room, closing the door behind her. I sighed; my stepmother was so determined to marry me off to Patrick, and she was choosing based on the virtues my father instilled in me. Talking to her to ask her to accept my relationship with Cold would be an impossible mission.
Selene, with an air of anger and hostility, swam towards the palace basement, where Patrick, a handsome merman with a muscular human body, was watching her while seated on a chair edged in gold.
-
“Did you talk to her?” Patrick asked.
-
“Yes, but she insists on marrying for love, so you must win her over before the wedding.”
-
“I see,” said Patrick, and he smiled slightly. “Do you have any ideas?”
-
“Not at all; I barely speak to her, but get close to her, get to know her, show interest in her and make her believe you’re at her feet.”
-
“Don’t worry. I will approach her.”
-
“And remember, I don’t want mistakes. You must not allow yourself to be seduced by Phoebe. On the wedding night, in her marriage bed, you must kill her.”
-
“I know, Selene; don’t doubt me, I will do it.”

"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

Oops, Wrong Girl to Bully
My back hit the desk. Pain exploded through my skull.
"Girls like you don't get to dream about guys like Kai." Bella's breath was hot on my face. "You don't get to write pathetic love letters."
She shoved me again. Harder.
"Maybe if you weren't such a desperate little—"
I fell. My head cracked against the corner.
Warmth trickled down my neck. Blood.
Their laughter turned to gasps.
The door slammed.
I tried to stand. Couldn't. The room was spinning, fading to black.
Someone... please...

The Biker's Fate
I squeezed my eyes shut.
"Dani," he pressed. "Do you get me?"
"No, Austin, I don't," I admitted as I pulled my robe closed again and sat up. "You confuse me."
He dragged his hands down his face. "Tell me what's on your mind."
I sighed. "You're everything my parents warned me against. You're secretive, but you're also honest. I feel wholly protected by you, but then you scare me more than anyone I've ever known. You're a bad boy, but when I dated a so-called good one, he turned out to be the devil, so, yeah, I don't get you because you're not what I expected. You drive me crazier than anyone I've ever met, but then you make me feel complete. I'm feeling things I don't quite know how to process and that makes me want to run. I don't want to give up something that might be really, really good, but I also don't want to be stupid and fall for a boy just because he's super pretty and makes me come."

The Biker Alpha Who Became My Second Chance Mate
"You're like a sister to me."
Those were the actual words that broke the camel's back.
Not after what just happened. Not after the hot, breathless, soul-shaking night we spent tangled in each other's arms.
I knew from the beginning that Tristan Hayes was a line I shouldn't cross.
He wasn't just anyone, he was my brother's best friend. The man I spent years secretly wanting.
But that night... we were broken. We had just buried our parents. And the grief was too heavy, too real...so I begged him to touch me.
To make me forget. To fill the silence that death left behind.
And he did. He held me like I was something fragile.
Kissed me like I was the only thing he needed to breathe.
Then left me bleeding with six words that burned deeper than rejection ever could.
So, I ran. Away from everything that cost me pain.
Now, five years later, I'm back.
Fresh from rejecting the mate who abused me. Still carrying the scars of a pup I never got to hold.
And the man waiting for me at the airport isn't my brother.
It's Tristan.
And he's not the guy I left behind.
He's a biker.
An Alpha.
And when he looked at me, I knew there was no where else to run to.
