My Best Friend's Brother Kissed Me
Racheal Kehinde · Ongoing · 33.5k Words
Introduction
Rule #1 of girl code: Best friends’ brothers were off limits.
So she buried her feelings at fifteen and followed it for four years.
Four years of swallowing her crush on Cole every time he ruffled her hair and called her ‘kid’.
She pretended not to care until the night she saw him at the diner where she worked, watching his perfect girlfriend Regina kiss another guy.
Summer did the only thing she was ever allowed to do: comforting him like a sister.
She offered to do anything to help him until he felt better.
But Summer didn’t expect him to take it as far as kissing her.
That night broke every rule she built her life around.
When morning came, everything between them was no longer innocent.
Chapter 1
_
Summer’s POV
I shouldn’t be here.
That was the first thought that crossed my mind as I stood in Mia’s kitchen with a wooden spoon in my hand, pretending to focus on stirring the apple pie filling while my heart beat a little too fast for no good reason.
Okay maybe there was a reason.
“Cole will be back in any minute,” Mia said on the phone and nodded once more before ending the call.
She leaned against the counter, licking sugar off her finger.
“Hey, girl, guess what?”
“What?” I replied without looking at her.
Mia grinned.
“I think Cole might be proposing soon.”
The spoon in my hand paused mid-stir.
“What?”
“To Regina, silly.” she added, rolling her eyes like it was obvious.
“They had been together forever, Summer. Mom and Dad were already talking about weddings and grand kids. Like, can you imagine? I might become an aunt before I even graduated.”
My chest tightened as I listened and I forced a laugh.
“That’s… fast.”
But really, it was jealousy speaking.
“Not really,” Mia shrugged.
“They were perfect together. Regina was basically already part of the family.”
Of course.
I looked down at the pie filling, watching the apples swirl slowly like they were mocking me and my feelings of four years now.
At fifteen, I realized that every time Cole smiled at me, my stomach flipped in a way that wasn’t normal and when he ruffled my hair or called me ‘kid’ something inside me melted.
I was in love with my best friend’s brother but I dared not say it out.
I had kept those feelings buried inside me for so long that lately, they seemed to be eating me up.
“Hey, are you even listening?” Mia nudged me.
“Yeah,” I lied.
“Of course.”
She narrowed her eyes at me, but before she could press further, the front door opened.
And just like that, everything inside me stilled.
As Cole’s footsteps approached us, I lowered my head and didn’t turn immediately.
I needed a moment to compose myself and remind my stupid heart how to act normal around him.
Like a younger sister I had trained myself to over the years.
“Smelled good in here,” Cole’s voice came from behind us.
I turned slowly after repeating the words I wanted to say to him in my head.
And there he was.
Cole Matthew.
Six feet of effortless confidence, dark hair slightly messy like he had run his hands through it too many times and that stupid, unfairly perfect smile that had ruined my life since I was fifteen.
And his lips… the amount of times I had imagined them on mine was way too unhealthy.
He looked good. So good.
Like he had just stepped out of one of those moments girls wrote about in their dairies.
He must have been returning from another date with Regina.
My stomach twisted.
“Hey kid,” he turned to me after exchanging greetings with Mia.
I swallowed hard.
“Hi.”
Cole walked past us to the counter, reaching for one of the cooling pies.
“These for me?”
“Don’t you dare,” Mia snapped, slapping his hand away.
“They were for the fundraiser tomorrow.”
Cole grinned, unfazed.
“You always made extra.”
“That’s not the point.”
He chuckled then turned slightly toward me and then his hand was in my hair.
He gave me a casual ruffle but my entire body reacted in every way but casual.
Maybe it was the fact that he didn’t do that to anyone, even Mia, except me that made my heart flutter so much.
Heat flooded my face and my breath stuttered.
I just hoped he never noticed or saw that.
“Still hanging around my sister, huh?” he said lightly.
“I thought you two might grow apart after getting into different colleges.”
“Someone had to keep her in check.” I said, forcing a smile.
“Yeah?” his eyes flickered with amusement.
“Looks like you were doing a terrible job.”
Mia scoffed.
I tried to laugh but it came out a little breathless, praying he would go away but he didn’t.
Instead, he waited to finish the pie and reached out to grab another one.
“Speaking of,” he said.
His hand brushed mine and I shifted quickly.
“Hm mm?”
“That guy I saw you with at your birthday party… what was his name?”
My brain blanked.
“Uh?”
He noticed?
“Ryan,” Mia cut in smoothly, completely oblivious to the fact that I was internally malfunctioning right now.
“But that was like, three months ago. They already broke up.”
I shot her a look and she shrugged.
Cole raised an eyebrow.
“Already?”
His gaze shifted back to me, sharper now.
“Why?”
I hesitated for two seconds, feeling quite embarrassed.
“He cheated over the spring break,” I said, clearing my throat.
The words felt heavier than they should.
Cole’s expression slowly darkened and he seemed upset.
“You okay?” he asked, stepping closer.
I held my breath, gazing up at him.
“I was fine,” I said quickly.
“Really. I was over it.”
Of course, I was.
I dated him because I wanted to get over my crush anyways but that didn’t work out.
I kind of cheated first.
Cole studied me for a moment then his hand was back in my hair again.
Gentler this time.
“Be careful,” he said quietly.
“And stay out of trouble, kid.”
I nodded, even though my chest ached.
He gave my hair one last ruffle before turning and heading toward the stairs.
My eyes locked on him as he went away.
“Summer!”
I blinked.
Mia was staring at me expectantly, her hand out.
“The spoon?”
“Oh right.” I handed it to her, my fingers still tingling.
“I guessed he was really cool with us dating now.” Mia commented.
“Hmm.” I nodded.
She went back to talking, rambling about wedding plans and Regina and how cute their babies would be.
“I should go.” I said, cutting Mia off suddenly.
She frowned.
“Already? We hadn’t even finished…”
“I have work,” I cut in quickly.
“Plus I need to stop by somewhere first.”
Mia sighed but nodded.
“Fine. Text me when you get back home.”
“I will.”
I grabbed my bag and practically rushed out before I lose my mind.

I Found the Babies
"When..." He growled in my ear, "When we will be getting married, I will be your only king, do you get my point? Only one queen, no misters or mistresses. Just me, just you, and yeah, our babies."
I shivered.
Alyssa Reynolds found herself in a situation, while returning home from work, and she had three choices:
Simply walk away and forget that you ever heard the sound of wailing infants.
Call the police and inform them about the innocent wails.
Follow the sounds of the wails and take the matter in your hands, deciding what to do later.
Being a kindhearted soul and a sucker for babies, she found herself choosing the third option, finding the two little lives.
Two little lives that changed her whole life, her love life included. Her life now revolved around the babies as diapers, vomit and shit seemed to surround her.
Just when she thought that now it's just her and the babies, her whole world flipped over and she found herself living under the same roof as the egotistical, obnoxious and hot-as-hell Terence Powers, the business tycoon who was not going to let the woman fend off for herself and the babies alone.
The Contract Wife: Marriage Of Malice
He didn't finish. He didn't need to.
I didn't tell him to stop.
Instead, my fingers curled into his shirt, clutching the fabric as though it was my only anchor. Something in him snapped—something he had been holding back for too long. His mouth found mine in a kiss that wasn't tender, but hungry, desperate.
I gasped into him, his hand sliding up to cup my jaw, holding me as if afraid I might vanish.
"You drive me insane," he breathed against my mouth, his lips trailing to my throat. "I can't lose you, Ella. Not you."
My head fell back, a soft sound escaping me as his fingers memorized my waist. My anger melted beneath his desperation.
"James..." I whispered, more plea than protest.
His hand caught mine, fingers threading together tightly. "I'll bring him back. I swear it. Just... don't turn away from me. Please."
The word please—low, ragged, almost broken—undid me more than anything else could have.
Ella never imagined she would marry the man she had secretly loved for years in such a way.
When her brother Theo faced twenty-five years in prison for massive embezzlement, the ruthless business tycoon James Lancaster offered her a deal: marry him in exchange for her brother's freedom.
This wasn't a fairy tale proposal, but a carefully orchestrated revenge. Because in James's heart, Ella was the culprit who had killed his sister Cecilia. He wanted her to pay the price—to atone with a lifetime of suffering.
COLD (Ruthless Player)
“Please… Nick, wait.” He pulled out, thrusted back in. “How much? Twenty thousand? Fifty? Hundred?” With every question, he thrust harder and harder. My neurons are frying with the confusing feeling in my brain. Torn between pleasure, fear, and panic. I couldn't utter a single sentence to save my life.
His cold eyes pinned me in place while he plundered my body with deep thrusts, which only added to my confusion. My dumb body mistook the mixed signals, my pussy becoming even wetter than before.
“I hope she'd paid you well, because I'm going to fuck you all night long, hard,” he growled. “Sleep, then do it all over again. I want to feel you come for me, Andrea, want to feel you squeeze my cock, milking me.
Begging for me to give you the high only I can, I'm going to fucked you until I fuck all my wife's money's worth, I want you to remember how hard I took you while you're meeting her.” I sobbed, moaned, and tried to scramble out under him.
“No, please…Nick, let….let me explain.” Nick abruptly pulled out. His eyes were cold but hooded.
Andrea was sent to take down billionaire magnate Nicklaus Montgomery.
Her mission was simple: get close, seduce him, find the proof, and disappear. Instead Andrea finds herself exposed—cornered into signing a contract that binds her to Nicklaus's side as his lover. Now she’s living in his world of wealth, danger, and secrets… and the deeper she falls into his bed, the harder it becomes to remember what side she's on.
Bound by the Dragon Mafia
The head chef looked like he was silently praying for death.
I rushed forward. “Amara. Stop traumatizing these poor people.”
She spun around, delighted. “Sera! Good, you’re here. Taste this. It’s missing despair.”
The chef’s face morphed into existential crisis.
I grabbed her arm. “Put the spatula down.”
“But—”
“Down.”
With exaggerated offense, she dropped the spatula and muttered, “Fine. But if no one here has artistic vision, that’s not my fault.”
She went undercover to expose a mafia empire.
He offered her thirty nights to save her life.
When investigative journalist Seraphine Vale steps into the glittering underworld ruled by billionaire crime lord Dante Vescari, she thinks she’s chasing a story about missing women and corruption.
Instead, she uncovers a secret older than blood—an empire built on fire, sin, and dragons.
Bound to Dante by a forbidden pact, Seraphine finds herself caught between fear and desire, truth and temptation.
Each night pulls her deeper into his world of power, passion, and danger…
and closer to the monster hiding beneath his perfect skin.
Thirty nights. One bond.
And a love that might just burn the world to ash.

The boring dorm.
What he got instead was Maverick Hale campus menace, underground street fighter, walking bruise factory, and the last person he ever wanted anywhere near his neat piles of textbooks.

Or one wrong move away from getting kicked out.
He’ll graduate out of sheer spite—he refuses to give his estranged, homophobic father the satisfaction of calling him a failure.
He definitely doesn’t care about the determined, overachieving half-Indian nursing major he’s stuck sharing a room with…
Until Bodhi becomes the only thing keeping him in school.
His tutor.
His healer.
His undoing.
And when Maverick stumbles into their dorm one night with a knife wound and Bodhi stitches him up with shaking hands and a breaking heart…
no longer can that be denied.
Opposites weren’t supposed to collide this way.
But they did.
Hard.
