Introduction
My fate? To marry the son of our enemy.
My rebellion? To lie—and claim I was in love with Kian O’Sullivan.
Now the lie is my prison.
Kian isn’t my savior. He’s a wolf dressed in silk, a monster with grey eyes who would rather break me than hold me.
But when the bullets start flying and our enemies circle closer… he’s the only one standing between me and death.
And maybe the only man dangerous enough to make me beg for it.
NOTE: This is a DARK ROMANCE story. It includes disturbing content like: Extreme violence, torture, degradation, BDSM, drugging, Somnophila, self harm. Sexual assault and group sex(not including the main leads). Both main leads are red flags!
Chapter 1
Fianna.
“James, give me some good news other than going to pretend I love my family.”
I strode into the dining hall, my stiletto heels clicking sharply against the marble floor. James, my nervous personal assistant, walked behind me, fussing over the train of my black dress. I didn’t slow down a bit. He was used to it.
“Fianna,” James began, his voice tight. “The XO circle knife fighting is in two days. Are you going to be the only—“
I knew what he wanted to say so I cut him off. “Register my name. Again. And make sure I get the first line up, I will like to go in there first and get the fuck out.”
XO knife duel. A competition within the circle of the made Irish families. Unlike the other ladies who just sit around and fawn over muscles and handsome faces, I partake in the fight. I have been the only woman in the ring. I relished it.
The thought of facing men who thought they were untouchable made my heart pump with excitement. What was pathetic was watching the other ladies swoon at them.
I shook my head at the memory.
I walked toward the main table. Eyes followed me, glares cutting across the hall. I wasn’t supposed to be here—Well, according to Irish tradition fanatics. I was a lady and I wasn’t supposed to be in a room dominated by family heads and business kings.
But my grandfather, Callahan himself, had invited me. And when he does that….well, you don’t argue.
I reached grandfather, placing sweet kisses on his both cheeks.
“Dia duit, Daideo,” I greeted softly. Hello grandfather.
His handsome face turned to me as he replied warmly, “Dia is muire duit, a stór.” Hello and blessings, my treasure. His eyes lightning up with pride as usual.
I bowed a bit to my father, and patted my big brother, Ronan on his shoulder before I moved to the end of the table. There was a spare chair so I let myself sit.
This was supposed to be a normal dinner I guessed. Business talks, drugs and weapon shippings.
Except the Slanes were present.
My stomach churned. My lips parted before I could think of stopping them. “Why the fuck is the entire Slane family here?”
My father twisted his face and hissed. “Fianna, mind your manners!”
Manners and respect were the last things on my mind when our most hated rivals were seated at the same table. The enemies I had grown to hate and loathe. They sat like they owned the room.
How had I not been informed? Why was this a surprise?
My eyes narrowed at my family. Was this supposed to be another ‘You shouldn’t know much as a lady’ situation?
I glanced at the Slanes with fury. The father, stern and ugly looking, twisted the champagne glass in his hand. The mother sitting with her permanent smug expression and—their son……
A typical annoying version of bland. The vanilla boy.
Before I could voice out my displeasure again, my grandfather’s eyes collided with mine. Silent warning lurked behind his gaze. It was a way of telling me not to say a damn thing again.
He cleared his throat, commanding attention without raising his voice. “Let’s proceed with the dinner.”
Everyone obeyed, including the Slanes even though their irritation seeped through their expressions. That made me smirk—Callahan over Slanes anytime. My appetite on the other hand, was gone so I retrieved my phone instead.
A message blinked on the screen.
“Looking forward to our duel, Tiger.”
I grinned, my fingers flying over the screen instantly. This was the kind of thing that made me happy and not some crappy dinner with enemies.
“I always win. Just so you know, fucker.”
My veins thrummed with anticipation. I love the chaos and bites that came with the duel. The thrill of being underestimated and—
“Quite surprising that Callahan didn’t teach his granddaughter some table manners.”
The sharp cut of another voice ruined the moment. It was him. Slane senior. That smug, annoying bastard.
I didn’t even care to look up. “Am I interrupting your meal? No. Then I suggest you mind your business. The fact that you are here with your people already ruined my appetite. Thanks to you, grandfather.”
Ronan leaned closer, his cologne hitting my nose. “Fianna, show some manners—”
I sneered. He knew better than to scold me that way in front of these people.
And then…a calm but furious voice sounded in front of me.
Slane's son spoke,“My family will be happy to teach her some manners, after all, we will be getting married soon.” He smiled at me. “She’s in good hands.”
Silence.
A fucking suffocating silence. Every eye in the hall turned to me but mine were fixed on my grandfather.
I blinked slowly and deliberately. My lips curved into a faint, dangerous smile. Over my dead body.
Was this boy crazy? He was certainly not talking about me getting married to him.
“What’s going on here?” I asked, my voice cold and controlled.
Grandfather cleared his throat in an awkward manner. That was a bad sign. He was about to say something that would make me turn this place into a bloodshed. He placed his cutleries down and finally spoke…..
“Mo Stór, after careful consideration between both families, an arranged marriage has been proposed to put an end to this war.”
I froze mid-breath and scoffed. “To stop the war? How does this make any sense?! Why do we need to stop the war…?”
“Listen first!” My father’s fist hit the table loudly.
I barely glanced at him. He must know he doesn’t have a say in this.
Grandfather continued. “This marriage is the only logical solution. We now live in the country with laws, with innocents. A war between the Callahans and Slanes would destroy everything we’ve built.”
This was ridiculous, absurd. Outrageous.
“This is a parody right? Some deranged theatre you’ve been rehearsing while I play the fool? You want to sacrifice a Callahan at the altar of Slanes?!”
I turned my gaze toward Slane’s son and like I had expected, his hands were trembling slightly. He was such a weak asshole. All he knew how to do was fuck around the ladies in the city.
“You want to arrange my life like I’m a pawn?” I continued, pointing at the vanilla boy.“Marry him..? This spineless decorative lamp? Over my fucking corpse.”
My grandfather’s lips parted like he wanted to say something but I didn’t allow it.
I bowed slightly to him even though he had disappointed me. I offered them all a smile—sweet, poised and deadly.
“I reject this marriage proposal,” I said, my voice low. “And I will never, under any circumstances, accept Slane’s heir as my husband.”
I said what I said and stood. Murmurs rippled behind me, but it didn't matter to me. I had been through worse.
Only one statement from the vanilla boy caught my attention.
“I will go after her. She is just a lady, no different from others.”
His voice was surprisingly confident, opposing the fact that he was just trembling a minute ago.
I smirked hard, my fingers brushing the edge of my bag. And with a swift move, I drew my tiny knife. A flick of my wrist, and it lodged in the wall behind him.
His scream pierced the hall. High-pitched, ridiculous and satisfying.
I didn’t bother looking at anyone again. I strode toward the door and James caught up.
“Get my knife,” I said, turning to him. I could handle anything but my favorite knife getting lost.

I Loved You in Silence, You Betrayed Me in French
At my birthday party, my husband whispered to his mistress in French that he missed her. His voice was low, but I heard it all—the black lingerie, the bit about how pregnancy makes you more sensitive. His French clients around us were laughing. He turned and put his arm around me, claiming he was just helping his clients come up with sweet nothings.
He doesn't know I understand every single word. Just like he doesn't know that inside my body, I'm carrying his other surprise. And his mistress—she's pregnant too. Two wombs, one secret.
Confrontation would be too cheap. Tears are worthless. I quietly started cataloging the hidden networks my father left behind, activating the Swiss accounts.
In seven days, Zoey Smith will cease to exist. And what will my husband's reaction be?
He Never Loved Me, Until I Left
I put away the divorce agreement with a wry smile.
When he and my son completely disappeared, he finally panicked.
Three months later .
He knelt down on the streets of Chicago in despair, begging me to remarry him.
My six-year-old son looked coldly at his biological father and said, "Get lost, you bad uncle! You don't deserve to be my dad!"
When I Disappeared, He Regretted It
The moment the screen lit up, my entire world came crashing down.
The woman on the bed was Calista - that girl who grew up with us since we were kids. And that hand caressing her skin was wearing the wedding ring I had personally put on Matteo's finger.
"I've missed you so much..."
"You drive me crazy, baby..."
Those sweet words I knew so well completely destroyed me.
Everyone said we were the perfect couple, but who knew this marriage was built on nothing but lies?
Since he's so good at acting, I guess it's time I gave him a show of my own. I'm going to make sure everyone sees what this "perfect husband" really is...
He Thought I'd Never Leave
When he said he was being bullied, I believed him. When he kissed me on that rooftop, I thought he felt the same. When he asked me to transfer schools with him, I said yes without hesitation.
Then I heard him bragging to his friends: "She'd save her first time for me. Hell, she'd still be thinking of me on her wedding night."
The bullying was staged. The kiss meant nothing. He just wanted me gone—so his new girl could feel more comfortable.
He thought I'd beg. He thought I'd cry. He thought I'd never actually leave.
I left the country.
And ran straight into his stepbrother.
I Died While They Threw Her a Party
Their real daughter came home. She'd only been back two years. That's all it took to erase twenty-four.
When kidnappers grabbed us, I used my body as a shield. They beat me until something inside me ruptured. I was dying from internal bleeding, but no one could tell.
My parents wouldn't even look at me. "This is your fault! None of this would've happened if it weren't for you!"
"Get downstairs and apologize to your sister. If you can't, pack your things and get out."
They threw her a party at a downtown hotel while I died alone in my room.
I thought they'd be relieved. Maybe even glad. I thought they'd just move on like I never existed.
But when they finally learned the truth, they fell apart.
Bury Me in His Regret
The kidnapper pressed the gun to my temple and asked, "Choose your wife or your sister-in-law?"
Zachary didn't hesitate. "Let Valerie go," he said.
He actually chose to save his sister-in-law! In that moment, even the baby in my belly seemed to stop kicking.
Later, they locked me in the basement. Drugs to delay labor were pumped into my veins over and over. Zachary wanted to save the "firstborn son" status for his sister-in-law's child.
When warm blood finally soaked through my skirt, I dialed the number I knew by heart with shaking hands.
"Zachary," I whispered into the phone, "our child... can't wait any longer."
The Kidney That Killed Me
A few months ago, my sister was hospitalized with kidney failure. The doctor said she needed a transplant. My family's first thought was me—the backup daughter they'd kept around all these years.
When my husband Allen took my hand with tears in his eyes and said, "Only you can save her," I agreed without hesitation.
When the doctor explained the surgical risks and potential complications, I smiled and nodded my understanding.
My parents said I'd finally learned what sisterly love meant.
Even Allen, who'd always been cold to me, held my hand gently and said, "The surgery's safe. You're so healthy, nothing will go wrong. When you recover, I'll take you to Hawaii."
But they don't know that no matter how the surgery goes, I won't be around to celebrate.
Because I just got my own test results—I have terminal brain cancer. I'm going to die anyway.
After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire's Arms
From first crush to wedding vows, George Capulet and I had been inseparable. But in our seventh year of marriage, he began an affair with his secretary.
On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."
Alpha Nicholas's Little Mate
What? No—wait… oh Moon Goddess, no.
Please tell me you're joking, Lex.
But she's not. I can feel her excitement bubbling under my skin, while all I feel is dread.
We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.
And then, just as quickly… he sees me.
His expression twists.
"Fuck no."
He turns—and runs.
My mate sees me and runs.

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.
