Introduction
“Stay right there. Bended that well.” He growled and he took a deep breath. As if inhaling my scent in.
I froze, my heart pounding wildly in my chest. My face flushed with embarrassment, my body betraying me in ways I couldn’t explain.
“I can smell you,” he murmured, his voice sending shivers down my spine. Before I could react, his hand moved, brushing against my thigh, then slipping under the fabric of my dress.
Ava’s life has been nothing but misery since the day she turned eighteen and discovered she had no wolf. She’s been rejected by her mate, Landon, who chose her cruel older sister, Helena, instead. Betrayed by her family, abused by her pack, and treated as nothing more than a burden, Ava feels trapped in a nightmare she can’t escape.
But when her jealous sister Helena takes things too far and ends Ava’s life, fate gives her a second chance. Ava is reborn three years earlier, right before her life fell apart. Now, she seeks refuge from the only man that could help her; Raphael Axel. The Lycan king.
Chapter 1
Ava’s POV
The ropes cut into my wrists, my skin burned from struggling against them, but no matter how hard I pulled, there was no escape. There never had been.
I could feel the cool air of the room on my skin, but I was burning inside, my chest heavy with the irritation of my emotions, anger, disgust, and humiliation. I tried to look away, to turn my head, but I couldn’t. He wouldn’t let me. Landon had made sure I could see everything. Bastard fellow that he is.
Just feet away from where I sat tied to the chair, Helena, my sister, knelt before him. She was moaning, her lips wrapped around him, taking him deep into her throat. I watched as her hand gripped his thigh for support, her body arching with every thrust he made into her mouth.
I tried not to care. I tried so hard. But it was impossible.
Landon’s eyes met mine across the room, cold and unfeeling. He enjoyed this, my pain, my humiliation. It was like a game to him, watching me break while he fucked my sister right in front of me. Twisted fellow.
My stomach dropped, and I bit down on the inside of my cheek, hard enough to taste blood, but I refused to cry. I wouldn’t give him that. Not again.
His voice broke through the silence, low and taunting. "Do you see this, Ava? This could have been you."
I felt the bile rise in my throat, my heart pounding painfully in my chest. It was supposed to be me. I was his mate. The one chosen for him by the Moon Goddess. The one who was supposed to stand beside him as his Luna.
But Landon didn’t see me that way anymore. Maybe never did. I was nothing to him.
I watched as he pushed Helena’s head down harder, his hand tangled in her hair, forcing her to take him deeper. Her moans grew louder, and I could hear the obscene sounds of her sucking him, every wet, sloppy noise hitting me like a slap.
"If only you were not too weak. I would have enjoyed fucking those plump lips of yours," Landon continued, his voice cold and excited at the same time. "But not her. She knows her place and serves me well." In other words, I don't.
The knot in my stomach tightened, and I could feel the burn of tears threatening to fall, but I blinked them away. I couldn’t cry. Not in front of him. Not in front of her.
Helena looked up at him, her lips curling into a smirk as she continued to work him with her mouth. She knew I was watching. She wanted me to watch.
The worst part wasn’t the physical pain. It was the way my body reacted to him. Every word he said, every look he gave, made my skin crawl, but I couldn’t stop the way my stupid body responded.
He was the Alpha. His command was law. My body obeyed him, even when my mind screamed for it to stop.
I hated him. I hated him so much. I can not describe the vastness of my hatred for him.
But the bond, the stupid bond kept me tied to him. I couldn’t escape.
I watched as he dragged Helena up to her feet, turning her around and bending her over the bed. He didn’t even bother to look at me as he shoved himself into her from behind, his thrusts rough and unrelenting. The sound of skin slapping against skin filled the room, and I had to bite down harder on my cheek to keep myself from sobbing.
The pain, I felt each time he drove inside her was worse than a thousand stabs and because I was near him, I could feel it more. I beat down on my inner cheek harder than I was supposed to, stopping myself from screaming because of the mate bond. I wish I could hurt him the same way, he hurt me. The moon goddess is just so unfair.
This was what I had been reduced to, a spectator in my nightmare.
Helena moaned louder, her voice echoing off the walls as Landon pounded into her. I could see the pleasure on her face, the way she revelled in his attention, in my pain.
"Does this hurt, Ava?" Landon asked, his voice dark and mocking. "Watching me fuck your sister while you sit there, helpless? Must suck right?"
I didn’t answer. What could I say?
His grip tightened on Helena’s hips, and I watched as he drove into her harder, faster, her moans turning into screams of pleasure. I felt the tears finally slip down my cheeks, but I stayed silent, choking back the sobs that threatened to escape.
My body slumped in resignation. What was the use? Even though my skin bleed from the ropes binding me, the physical pain was nothing compared to the emotional torment I was enduring. This was worse than anything else he could have done to me.
I lost track of how long it went on, how long I was forced to watch as he used her. To me time stopped, and all I could focus on was the sharp, unbearable pain in my chest.
Finally, with a groan, Landon pulled out of her, his hand fisting her hair as he made her kneel before him again. He stroked himself, his eyes never leaving mine, and I watched as he came on her face, her lips parted in satisfaction.
It was over.
A momentarily relief.
Helena stood up, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand as she glanced at me, her eyes filled with triumph. "You’ll never be enough, Ava," she said softly, just loud enough for me to hear. "You’ll always be beneath me."
Her words cut deep, but I didn’t respond. I had nothing left to say.
Landon moved toward me, his eyes dark and full of something dangerous. My heart pounded in my chest as he knelt in front of me, his hand reaching out to tilt my chin up, forcing me to look at him. I wanted to wipe where he had touched.
"You think this is the worst of it?" he asked, his voice low and threatening. "You’re mine, Ava. You’ll always be mine. You will always stay here to watch me every day and every night as I fuck your sister. You will watch as she carries my pups. I will never reject you, you will forever be nothing as this will be your everyday life now." To think, I loved this man once.
His fingers brushed against my cheek, his touch deceptively gentle. But I knew better. I knew the kind of man he was.
I wanted to pull away, to scream at him, to fight back, but I couldn’t. My body wouldn’t listen to me. It responded to him and obeyed him because he was the Alpha.
And I was nothing. Completely nothing.
"Why won’t you reject me?" I whispered, my voice cracking under the weight of my pain. "Why won’t you just let me go?"
His smile was cruel as he leaned closer, his breath hot against my skin. "Because I don’t want to, Ava. It is exciting seeing you like this."
I felt the sob rise in my throat, but I swallowed it down. There was no point in crying. There was no point in fighting. I was trapped. He would never let me go. It was all a waste.

I Loved You in Silence, You Betrayed Me in French
At my birthday party, my husband whispered to his mistress in French that he missed her. His voice was low, but I heard it all—the black lingerie, the bit about how pregnancy makes you more sensitive. His French clients around us were laughing. He turned and put his arm around me, claiming he was just helping his clients come up with sweet nothings.
He doesn't know I understand every single word. Just like he doesn't know that inside my body, I'm carrying his other surprise. And his mistress—she's pregnant too. Two wombs, one secret.
Confrontation would be too cheap. Tears are worthless. I quietly started cataloging the hidden networks my father left behind, activating the Swiss accounts.
In seven days, Zoey Smith will cease to exist. And what will my husband's reaction be?
When I Disappeared, He Regretted It
The moment the screen lit up, my entire world came crashing down.
The woman on the bed was Calista - that girl who grew up with us since we were kids. And that hand caressing her skin was wearing the wedding ring I had personally put on Matteo's finger.
"I've missed you so much..."
"You drive me crazy, baby..."
Those sweet words I knew so well completely destroyed me.
Everyone said we were the perfect couple, but who knew this marriage was built on nothing but lies?

The Family Sacrifice
I simply said one word: "Okay."
My parents and Gilbert were stunned. They rushed to have me sign the voluntary donation form, afraid I’d change my mind.
Some days later, they sent me to the operating room.
Dad said, "Yvonne will finally be saved. We're so proud of you."
Mom said, "After the surgery, we'll make it up to you."
Gilbert looked tenderly at Yvonne and said, "When you're better, where should we travel?"
What they didn't know was that the day I agreed, I'd just received my diagnosis, stage four cancer. Three months to live.
As I lay on the cold operating table, as the anesthesia began to take effect, I only wanted to know one thing:
If I die on this operating table, will they regret it?
He Never Loved Me, Until I Left
I put away the divorce agreement with a wry smile.
When he and my son completely disappeared, he finally panicked.
Three months later .
He knelt down on the streets of Chicago in despair, begging me to remarry him.
My six-year-old son looked coldly at his biological father and said, "Get lost, you bad uncle! You don't deserve to be my dad!"
He Thought I'd Never Leave
When he said he was being bullied, I believed him. When he kissed me on that rooftop, I thought he felt the same. When he asked me to transfer schools with him, I said yes without hesitation.
Then I heard him bragging to his friends: "She'd save her first time for me. Hell, she'd still be thinking of me on her wedding night."
The bullying was staged. The kiss meant nothing. He just wanted me gone—so his new girl could feel more comfortable.
He thought I'd beg. He thought I'd cry. He thought I'd never actually leave.
I left the country.
And ran straight into his stepbrother.
I Died While They Threw Her a Party
Their real daughter came home. She'd only been back two years. That's all it took to erase twenty-four.
When kidnappers grabbed us, I used my body as a shield. They beat me until something inside me ruptured. I was dying from internal bleeding, but no one could tell.
My parents wouldn't even look at me. "This is your fault! None of this would've happened if it weren't for you!"
"Get downstairs and apologize to your sister. If you can't, pack your things and get out."
They threw her a party at a downtown hotel while I died alone in my room.
I thought they'd be relieved. Maybe even glad. I thought they'd just move on like I never existed.
But when they finally learned the truth, they fell apart.
Bury Me in His Regret
The kidnapper pressed the gun to my temple and asked, "Choose your wife or your sister-in-law?"
Zachary didn't hesitate. "Let Valerie go," he said.
He actually chose to save his sister-in-law! In that moment, even the baby in my belly seemed to stop kicking.
Later, they locked me in the basement. Drugs to delay labor were pumped into my veins over and over. Zachary wanted to save the "firstborn son" status for his sister-in-law's child.
When warm blood finally soaked through my skirt, I dialed the number I knew by heart with shaking hands.
"Zachary," I whispered into the phone, "our child... can't wait any longer."
The Kidney That Killed Me
A few months ago, my sister was hospitalized with kidney failure. The doctor said she needed a transplant. My family's first thought was me—the backup daughter they'd kept around all these years.
When my husband Allen took my hand with tears in his eyes and said, "Only you can save her," I agreed without hesitation.
When the doctor explained the surgical risks and potential complications, I smiled and nodded my understanding.
My parents said I'd finally learned what sisterly love meant.
Even Allen, who'd always been cold to me, held my hand gently and said, "The surgery's safe. You're so healthy, nothing will go wrong. When you recover, I'll take you to Hawaii."
But they don't know that no matter how the surgery goes, I won't be around to celebrate.
Because I just got my own test results—I have terminal brain cancer. I'm going to die anyway.
After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire's Arms
From first crush to wedding vows, George Capulet and I had been inseparable. But in our seventh year of marriage, he began an affair with his secretary.
On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."
