Chapter 1
Elena Scarlet’s POV
“Mum, I’m not getting engaged to that boy! I don’t even like him!” I snapped, folding my arms, with disgust written all over my face.
She hadn’t even let me change out of my school uniform before dropping the bomb that I had an official meetup scheduled—with Adrian—that weekend.
“Elena,” she said gently, “Adrian’s mum and I made that promise when she was pregnant. It would mean the world to me if you honored it.” She said giving me that pleading gaze—the one that always caved me into doing whatever she wanted.
But not today.
“I don’t care what promise you made, Mum. I’m not getting engaged to Adrian, and that’s on period!” My words came out louder than I intended, fueled by the anger building in my chest.
“You do not talk to your mother like that!” my dad’s voice rang angrily from the doorway. He had just walked in and looked furious.
My heart skipped; he had never shouted at me like that before.
“Now apologize,” he ordered sharply.
I swallowed hard and turned to my mom. “I… I’m sorry,” I murmured, still surprised.
Without waiting for their response, I rushed out of the room—blinking back tears as I dialed Zane's number while hurrying down the stairs.
I always thought the Adrian-marriage thing was a joke. But on my sixteenth birthday—just three weeks ago—my mom had made it official.
Adrian and I were like two parallel lines that were never meant to meet. We had never spoken, despite going to the same school and our moms being friends. He was ice-cold, and to be honest? I preferred it that way.
Zane picked up after two rings.
“Hey?”
“I’m tired,” I whispered through tears, stepping into the car as Francis—my driver—opened the door.
“Where are you?” Zane asked, concerned.
“Heading to Bella’s place.”
“Alright. I’ll pick you up from there,” he said and hung up.
Francis glanced at me through the mirror. “Where to, ma’am?”
“To Bella’s,” I responded with a deep sigh.
Zane and I were friends, he had this energy, this carefree way of being that made me like him. People at school called him a bad boy but for me, he was real, and the only one who made me feel safe whenever I felt like giving up.
I had just arrived outside Bella’s house when Zane’s black sports car pulled up. He looked like the kind of guy your mom warned you about—and he dressed the part too—piercings, tattoos, ripped jeans, combat boots, chains and rings.
“Yo, what’s up?” he asked as I climbed in.
“It’s my mom…” I started, tearing up.
“It’s okay,” he said, tucking a few strands of hair behind my ear and buckling my seatbelt. “Let’s get outta here.”
He smirked slightly as he started driving.
“You’re such a crybaby, Elena. Wanna try something new?”
I sniffled and wiped my eyes. “What is that?” “I’m going bike racing with the guys. I want you to come along.” His eyes flicked toward me for a moment—and just like that, everything else melted away.
“Alright,” I nodded. “I needed a break from everything anyway.”
Later, we landed in Las Vegas on Zane’s father’s private jet.
The crown-shaped chandelier above us sparkled softly, casting a warm glow across the room as we stepped into the private suite he had reserved. Zane walked beside me, one hand tucked into his pocket while the other held his phone.
Without a word, he moved to the couch and sank into it, draping one arm over the side as he scrolled, completely at ease—like he owned the room.
He looked up as I passed, his eyes following me slowly in that way that always made my heart flutter, even if I pretended not to notice.
“You booked all this?” I asked as I sat beside him.
“Yeah,” he said gently, looking straight at me. “You like things that shine Elena.”
We didn’t speak after that—just stared at each other for a while.
Then he glanced down at my lips, and I knew what it meant. We both liked each other—but Zane was the kind of guy who didn’t stick around. He played with hearts like it was a game, and I wasn’t willing to be one of them.
Before the moment could go any further, I turned to the window suddenly, pretending to fix the curtain, as my heart threatened to jump out of my chest.
The racing spot was an abandoned highway just outside the city with dim lights and no traffic. I watched as five bikes raced down the road, and I couldn’t take my eyes off Zane.
My phone buzzed.
I’m sorry I shouted, Elena. Where are you? Please come home. — Dad.
I scoffed. “Too late,” I muttered, slipping the phone into my bag.
Zane pulled up in front of me.
“Wanna learn?” he asked with a grin.
I nodded.
He got off, came around the bike, and rested his hands lightly on my waist, then lifted me like I weighed nothing. My heart skipped as I sat down, feeling the hum of the engine beneath me.
“You sure it’s safe?” I asked, holding the helmet he handed me.
Zane chuckled. “Relax, Scarlet. You’re with me.”
“You hold it like this,” he said, guiding my hands to the grips from behind as his breath brushed my neck, sending chills down my body.
We rode a few laps together, and I couldn’t stop smiling. On the fourth, he got another bike from his friend.
“Can you try it yourself now?” he asked.
I nodded, excited.
I did a full lap alone while Zane trailed me, and when I finally stopped, breathless, he laughed.
“You good now?”
“One more,” I said.
This time, I took off faster, the wind tearing past me. For the first time in forever, I felt a bit free, not like a caged bird or someone who was constantly watched.
People saw the designer clothes, the magazine covers, the private jet, but they never saw me. I’d been a model since I was a child, always smiling for cameras I hated, performing for a world that never asked who I really was. The pressure to be perfect, to stay composed, to look flawless... it never ended. Even my own parents had no idea I battled depression for years.
I was expected to take over my father’s empire one day—a man known in every corner of the business world. But I didn’t care about mergers or boardrooms. I didn’t want any of it, I just wanted to live, laugh, and be messy, the way normal people get to be.
And out here, racing down an open stretch of road with Zane behind me, it was the closest I’d ever felt to that.
Then everything happened so fast.
“Elena! Slow down!” Zane’s voice rang out.
I laughed—just before I saw her—a lady—right ahead.
“Nooooo!” I screamed, jerking the brake, but it was too late.
The bike slammed into her and I was thrown through the air.
And then everything went black.

After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire's Arms
From first crush to wedding vows, George Capulet and I had been inseparable. But in our seventh year of marriage, he began an affair with his secretary.
On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."
Oops, Wrong Girl to Bully
My back hit the desk. Pain exploded through my skull.
"Girls like you don't get to dream about guys like Kai." Bella's breath was hot on my face. "You don't get to write pathetic love letters."
She shoved me again. Harder.
"Maybe if you weren't such a desperate little—"
I fell. My head cracked against the corner.
Warmth trickled down my neck. Blood.
Their laughter turned to gasps.
The door slammed.
I tried to stand. Couldn't. The room was spinning, fading to black.
Someone... please...

Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

Alpha Twins' Mate's broken Human
A Lesson in Magic
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
The Forbidden Throb
Mine changed in the time it took to open a door.
Behind it: my fiancé Nicholas with another woman.
Three months until our wedding. Three seconds to watch it all burn.
I should have run. Should have screamed. Should have done anything except stand there like a fool.
Instead, I heard the devil himself whisper in my ear:
"If you're willing, I could marry you."
Daniel. The brother I was warned about. The one who made Nicholas look like a choir boy.
He leaned against the wall, watching my world implode.
My pulse thundered. "What?"
"You heard me." His eyes burned into mine. "Marry me, Emma."
But as I stared into those magnetic eyes, I realized something terrifying:
I wanted to say yes to him.
Game on.
