Saviera's POV
Zuri and I met during our freshman year of high school and instantly became best friends. Our wild friendship began when I walked into her open locker and nearly ran Zuri over. Her locker door slammed shut from the impact of my forehead and everything in Zuri's arms went flying all over the place.
August 2013
"I'm so sorry! Are you okay? I was looking down at my schedule and wasn't paying attention." I said in a rush.
"It's okay, I'm not hurt." She responded.
I help pick up her things and put them into her locker.
"Is this your first year here?" She asked.
"Yeah, I'm a freshman. You?" I ask.
"Same here. What's your schedule?"
I tell her my schedule and we're excited about having our first three classes together.
From that point on, we walked each other to classes and sat together at lunch. We were both so focused on our grades and sports that dating was never something we did at the time, unlike many of our peers. Track and Field was the sport that kept me on my toes whereas Zuri was a dancer and softball player. By the end of our junior year, we became curious.
Fast forward to junior year
"Come walk along the beach with me tonight. You can ask your mom if you can stay the night with me. The beach is basically in my back yard and my parents won't mind." said Zuri.
My mom never allows me to stay the night anywhere, but Zuri has stayed with me a million times. As I get older though, my mom has loosened up.
"Okay, yeah. I'll just call my mom." I'm doubtful she's going to let me stay, but if she lets me I'm going to be so excited. Zuri doesn't know this, but recently I've been crushing on her super hard. I've always had little crushes here and there, but not like this. Moments with her are just special and it always feels like more.
After three rings, my mom picks up the phone, and I somehow convince her to let me stay the night with Zuri.
Zuri and I ate the dinner that her mom, Ember, cooked for us. Ember is one of the best chefs in Florida! She owns a Jamaican/Haitian restaurant called "Jamaican Jerk" here in St. Petersburg, Florida. Ember is Jamaican, but Zuri's dad, Luca, is Haitian. She decided to bring the best of both worlds together and it became a huge hit. I love my parents, but we eat the same stuff all the time. It's nice to have food that touches the soul sometimes.
I put my olive green bikini on and slide on my white flip-flops. Zuri has her yellow bikini on with matching flip flops and I can't help but look at her body. Her dark melanin against the bright yellow makes my heart squeeze and my stomach flutter.
"You like the view, Sav?" says Zuri with mischief in her eyes.
I'm almost positive my face is a bright red.
I tried to play it cool and said, "Well duh! My best friend is drop-dead gorgeous!"
We walk out the back door and down a small trail that leads right to the beach. The sun is low and the breeze is soft against my skin. Once a few moments pass, Zuri decides to break the silence.
"There's something I need to tell you, but I don't know how you'll react. Promise me you won't freak out and cut me off."
Of course, I think of the worst possible thing and start to worry.
"Zuri, you know you can talk to me about anything. No matter what, I'll always be your Sav."
Zuri takes a few seconds to gather her thoughts and says, "I think I'm gay."
It was not what I expected her to say. She had me so worried like it was going to be something devastating.
"That's it? I mean, you think I would stop being your friend because of who you're attracted to?"
"Well, that's not all. I'm attracted to you. I imagine things with you that I don't imagine with others. We're 17 and 18 years old and we have never dated before. I'm starting to want something more than just a friendship, but I've been so afraid that you wouldn't feel the same and now I'm rambling because I'm so nervous. You can pretend I didn't say any of thi--"
To shut her up, I grabbed her by the hips and pulled her in for a kiss. Our first real kiss and it's with each other. I only planned on giving her a small peck, but it quickly turned into a heated makeout session with the sunset surrounding us. My sister said her first kiss was so bad that she broke up with the poor guy and first kisses are usually gross or awkward. This moment with Zuri, however, is perfect and beautiful. It's like our bodies knew exactly what to do when our lips connected. Eventually, we came up for air and rested our foreheads against each other.
Zuri smiles and asks, "So you're gay for me too?"
"I'm very gay for you." I lean in and kiss her again. "I could get used to this."
We officially started dating by the end of our junior year. We didn't break the news to our parents until 9 months into our relationship, but none of them were surprised. My mom said she already assumed and talked about it to dad. Zuri's mom said she saw us kissing one day when she was bringing clothes up to Zuri's room and she quietly made an escape before we saw her. I asked her why she didn't stop us or get mad and she said, "It's not like either one of you can get pregnant. Just don't get crazier than necessary."
It's safe to say we have pretty awesome parents. Once I turned 18, mine weren't nearly as strict.
February- Current Day
Zuri and I leave the hair salon and head to our little two-bedroom apartment that we have together. When we graduated high school, we started college right away and our parents pitched in on this apartment for us until we graduate. Zuri already graduated with her associate's degree in Dental Hygiene. She is so obsessed with teeth, so being a dental hygienist is the perfect career for her. Now she pays a good portion of our rent and I started bartending at a pub that is within walking distance of our apartment. I hated feeling like I wasn't contributing enough, but Zuri always reminds me that I shouldn't wear myself out too much.
We walk through our front door and ate a quick snack.
"I'm about to hop in the shower! This humidity made me feel sticky and gross." I say to Zuri from our bedroom as she's sitting in the living room on the couch.
"Okay, babe!" Zuri responds.
I normally take super hot showers, but I need to cool down. I put the shower on warm and let the water roll off my body. The next thing I know, Zuri slides in behind me and starts exploring my body with her hands and mouth. Her hands begin at my neck and shoulders. She gradually glides her fingers down my back and reaches around to my breasts. Zuri plays with my nipple with one hand and slowly goes down my stomach with the other. After two needy seconds, she reaches my pussy and starts playing with my clit. I let my head fall back against her chest as she kisses my neck and brings me to the edge of an orgasm.

Love's Deadly Equation
I was sent to her.
To watch her. To protect her. And, when the order comes… to kill her.
My name is Keegan Caffery. I’m the Carter Mafia’s best hitman. I don’t miss. I don’t fail.
At least, I didn’t use to.
I don’t know what it is about her that got to me first—her mouth, her mind, or the way she looks at me like I’m not what she should fear.
I’ve had a gun to her head since I walked into her life.
She knows it.
And she still doesn’t run.
She just watches me back like she’s studying a problem she refuses to call impossible.
She’s the one variable I can’t control.
And God help me… I don’t want to.
I have an order. I have loyalty. I have a trigger.
But every time I imagine it—
I can’t stand it.
Her or me. That’s the math.
It’s a deadly equation I don’t want to solve.
⬥ Maisie ⬥
I’m not ordinary. I stopped pretending long ago.
My name is Maisie Seo. IQ 145. Clinical genius.
Which sounds impressive until you realize what it actually means: I don’t fit anywhere people expect me to.
I see patterns everywhere. Outcomes before they happen. People like equations I’ve already solved.
It gets lonely in a world you’ve already figured out.
So I dull myself down. Smoke the edges off. Pretend, badly, to be the kind of normal that lets people stay.
Then he walked in.
I knew what he was immediately. Dangerous. Intentional. Wrong in all the right ways.
I should be afraid of him.
I keep waiting for that to kick in.
Instead, I’m fascinated.
Because for the first time in my life… I’ve found something I can’t solve.
He is my deadly equation.
Accardi
“I thought you said you were done chasing me?” Gen mocked.
“I am done chasing you.”
Before she could formulate a witty remark, Matteo threw her down. She landed hard on her back atop his dining room table. She tried to sit up when she noticed what he was doing. His hands were working on his belt. It came free of his pants with a violent yank. She collapsed back on her elbows, her mouth gaping open at the display. His face was a mask of sheer determination, his eyes were a dark gold swimming with heat and desire. His hands wrapped around her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the table. He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”
“You…” she breathed.
Genevieve loses a bet she can’t afford to pay. In a compromise, she agrees to convince any man her opponent chooses to go home with her that night. What she doesn’t realize when her sister’s friend points out the brooding man sitting alone at the bar, is that man won’t be okay with just one night with her. No, Matteo Accardi, Don of one of the largest gangs in New York City doesn’t do one night stands. Not with her anyway.
Fated to the Enemy: The Alpha's Witch Bride
My touch tames his inner beast.
… Until I find another woman’s bite mark on his neck.
As a holy witch, I shouldn't be sneaking out for Zuri—a cursed shape-shifter from a rival clan.
But our forbidden heat is intoxicating.
When his monstrous Primal breaks free, slaughtering everything in its path, even his fiercest warriors cower.
I don't.
I walk straight to the blood-soaked beast, press my body against his, and tame him with a single, desperate embrace.
There’s just one problem: his clan betrothed him to a Shaman’s daughter.
I tell myself it's purely political. I tell myself his heart is mine.
Until tonight.
He sneaks into the woods for me. We share a deep, hungry kiss under the moonlight.
But as I pull back, my blood runs cold.
Right there, on the neck of the man I just risked my soul to save...
Is a fresh, undeniable bite mark.
MOONLIT CHASE
But no, I had to walk through the park at midnight like an idiot. Now I've seen something I can't unsee—a massive black wolf tearing apart three men, then shifting into the hottest guy I've ever laid eyes on.
Kieran Vaughn. Wealthy lawyer, werewolf, and apparently, he thinks I'm his mate.
Here's the problem: I don't do relationships. I definitely don't do supernatural things. I absolutely don't do rich guys who think they can control my life just because their inner wolf has decided I smell like home.
When hunters start targeting me to get to him, Kieran drags me into his pristine penthouse for "protection." Now I'm living with a man who looks at me like I'm his last meal, whose touch sets my skin on fire, and who's barely holding onto his control.
He says everyone he loves dies. I say that's not my problem except it is because I'm falling for this broken, dangerous man and his beast.
And in his world? Love will get you killed.

Taste of Fate: The Vampire King's Human Mate
He reached for the back of my head and pulled me up just enough to reach my neck. When his fangs slid into me, the pain was instant, electric. I couldn’t breathe. I couldn’t think. My hands found his shoulders, clawing for something to hold. My legs kicked. Tears streamed down my cheeks.
He moaned against my throat as he drank, and the sound was devastating.
Letters to a Dark Prince
Thrown into Isteros Academy—a world of old money, blood money, and cruel social games—she's an outsider by birth and an afterthought by design. Her sister Solyn is the school's untouchable queen and Mara is her favorite target.
Everyone expects Atreus to treat his fiancée’s scholarship sister like everyone else does—as if she doesn’t matter.
Instead, his dorm room sits directly across from hers, close enough that she can see his light go out at night. Some nights, he climbs the old maintenance trellis just to check on her. He teaches her chess. He shows up exactly when something's gone wrong—and never once asks to be thanked for it.
"Don't fall in love with one piece," he warns her, over a board neither of them treats like a game anymore. "It punishes the person who only sees half of it."
Mara doesn't understand why the boy who's supposed to make her life harder keeps quietly making it easier—not until she realizes the anonymous stranger she's been writing to every week already has a name.
His.
He doesn't know he's writing to her, either.
By the time they find out, it's too late to stop what's already happening. Far too dangerous for anyone to find out.
In an empty studio, in the middle of a rainstorm, she asks him: 'Am I the kind of girl who kisses a boy engaged to my sister?'
He doesn't answer.
So she asks: 'What are we?’
He told her not to fall in love with one piece.
She fell anyway.
And he was never far behind.
