Introduction
But fate is cruel. The man Elena believes to be her savior is actually a cold-blooded hitman. In an instant, her freedom turns into another kind of cage, trading one nightmare for another. Out of the crocodile’s jaws and into the lion’s den.
Which world will Elena choose?
Return to Edward, or stay by Felix’s side, no matter how dark his world may be?
Chapter 1
The cold marble floor inside the Ames Building, one of the historic landmarks in downtown Boston, no longer felt luxurious beneath my feet. To me, every inch of this place felt like iron bars plated in gold. I stood before a massive floor to ceiling mirror, staring at a stranger wrapped in a white gown embroidered with pearl sequins.
“So beautiful. Edward will be very pleased,” Melissa’s voice, my stepmother’s, came from the doorway.
I turned, my eyes narrowing sharply. “He’s thirty years older than me, Mom. He’s the same age as Papa would have been. Do you really have no heart at all?”
Melissa walked closer, her fingers adorned with a large diamond ring as she roughly adjusted the collar of my dress. “A heart can’t pay your father’s debts at Bay State, Elena. Two weeks ago he died and left behind a mountain of bills. Edward is our only ticket to keeping a luxurious life on Beacon Hill. So put on your smile and walk to that altar in ten minutes.”
The door was locked from the outside. She had truly caged me like livestock waiting for slaughter.
I paced the spacious room. My breaths came short and tight, not only because the corset was pulled too tightly, but because of the dread pressing down on my chest. I was only twenty one. I did not want to spend the rest of my life serving an old man who had bought my life with money.
My gaze swept the room until it stopped at the wide open balcony. The humid Boston evening breeze drifted in, stirring the thin silk curtains. Outside, the city lights flickered toward the Charles River. That was the only way out.
“To hell with this dress,” I whispered.
I ran to the bed, yanking off the satin sheets, the blankets, even the decorative fabric from the corner of the room. With trembling hands, I tied the ends together in tight, solid knots. I wrapped one end around the heavy bedpost, then tossed the bundled fabric over the balcony railing.
I climbed onto the balcony rail. The drop was about four meters. Risky, but better broken bones than sharing a bed with Edward. Just as my feet dangled in the air, the bedroom door was slammed open.
“Elena! What are you doing?!” Melissa screamed hysterically.
I did not answer. I released my grip and slid down. My palms burned from the friction, and my body slammed hard into the grass below. Pain pulsed through my ankle, but adrenaline drove my heart forward.
“She ran! Chase her! Zane, go after Elena!” Melissa shouted from the balcony above.
I scrambled to my feet, grabbed the long, heavy tail of my gown, and ran as fast as I could toward Washington Street. I did not care about the high heels left behind on the grass. I ran barefoot, ignoring the sharp gravel cutting into my skin.
“There! That’s her!”
A man’s shout came from the side gate. It was Zane, Edward’s right hand.
A two meter tall iron fence loomed ahead. Without thinking, I climbed it. My wedding dress snagged on the pointed tip, tearing a large rip along the hem, but I managed to jump down onto the sidewalk outside the building.
I kept running, disappearing into the darkness of the narrow alleys around Tremont Street. My lungs burned. The heavy thud of boots behind me told me they were not giving up.
I turned into a dead end alley, lit only by a single flickering streetlamp, and froze.
In front of me lay a brutal sight. Three large men were sprawled on the ground, groaning in pain. Standing among them was a man.
He was a stark contrast to the luxury I had just escaped. He wore a worn black leather jacket, a white tank top stained with blood, and black jeans ripped at the knees. His arms were covered in dark, intricate tattoos that extended to the backs of his hands. A small earring glinted in his right ear, and a thin silver chain rested against his neck.
The evening streetlight illuminated his face. There was a gash at his temple and a smear of blood at the corner of his mouth, yet he did not look hurt. He looked calm.
He turned when he heard my ragged breathing. His sharp eyes swept over me from head to toe. He frowned, clearly confused by the sight of a woman in a torn, filthy wedding dress standing in a grimy alley.
“Please…” My voice broke. “Please help me.”
The man was silent for a moment, wiping the blood from his lips with the back of his hand. “Who are you?” His voice was low and rough.
“My name is Elena. Please, someone is chasing me. They want to take me away.” I stepped closer, tears spilling freely down my cheeks. “I beg you. Take me away from here.”
“Don’t get involved in other people’s business, miss. I’m busy,” he said coldly as he walked toward a Jeep parked at the corner of the alley.
“I’ll give you anything. Anything you want. Please, help me!” I shouted desperately.
A gunshot shattered the darkening evening, striking a metal barrel near us. I screamed and crouched, covering my ears.
Edward appeared at the end of the alley, a pistol clutched in his trembling hand, shaking with rage. Beside him, Zane and two other men stared at me with threatening eyes.
“Elena! Come back here right now!” Edward roared. “Or I’ll make sure there’s nothing left of your family!”
The man in the leather jacket glanced at Edward, then looked back at me as I shook in terror. His eyes caught the bruises on my arm from Melissa’s grip earlier, and my bleeding feet from running barefoot. Something in his gaze shifted.
“Anything you’ll give me?” he asked.
“Yes. Anything. Please help me.”
Without another word, he grabbed my wrist and yanked me up. “Run.”
We sprinted toward the Jeep parked just behind the alley. But this long dress was a curse. I tripped over the hem and nearly fell onto the rough asphalt.
“Damn it,” he muttered.
Suddenly, my body lifted off the ground. He scooped me up effortlessly, as if I weighed nothing. My head rested against his solid chest. I caught the scent of cigarettes, sweat, and sharp masculine cologne. For the first time in my life, I felt protected within arms covered in tattoos.
He tossed me into the front passenger seat and jumped behind the wheel.
Edward ran after us, his face flushed red. He raised his pistol again, aiming straight at the windshield, straight at my head.
The man beside me gave a small grin as he shifted gears. He glanced at me just before slamming his foot down on the gas.
“Hold on tight, little bride.”
Edward pulled the trigger again. “Let go of my bride, bastard!”
The windshield cracked, but we were already surging forward.
“You know my name, now I should know yours,” I asked, my voice trembling as the car burst out of the alley.
The man shot me a brief glance, his tattooed hands steady on the wheel. “Felix. The man you just hired with a promise of ‘anything,’ Elena.”

Claimed by the Alpha's Love
Four years ago, Fiona's meticulously planned conspiracy turned me from an ordinary omega into a prisoner carrying the weight of a murder charge.
Four years later, I return to a world that has changed beyond recognition.
My best friend Fiona, who is also my stepsister, has become the perfect daughter in my mother's eyes. And my ex-boyfriend, Ethan, is about to hold a high-profile mating ceremony with her.
The love, family bonds, and reputation that I once cherished have all been taken by Fiona.
Just when I had reached my breaking point, questioning the very purpose of my existence, the legendary Alpha Lucas of Moonhaven suddenly appeared in my life.
He is powerful and enigmatic, a figure that all werewolves hold in awe.
Yet, he shows an extraordinary persistence and tenderness towards me.
Is Lucas's appearance a gift from fate, or the start of another conspiracy?
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
The Forbidden Throb
Mine changed in the time it took to open a door.
Behind it: my fiancé Nicholas with another woman.
Three months until our wedding. Three seconds to watch it all burn.
I should have run. Should have screamed. Should have done anything except stand there like a fool.
Instead, I heard the devil himself whisper in my ear:
"If you're willing, I could marry you."
Daniel. The brother I was warned about. The one who made Nicholas look like a choir boy.
He leaned against the wall, watching my world implode.
My pulse thundered. "What?"
"You heard me." His eyes burned into mine. "Marry me, Emma."
But as I stared into those magnetic eyes, I realized something terrifying:
I wanted to say yes to him.
Game on.
The Biker Alpha Who Became My Second Chance Mate
"You're like a sister to me."
Those were the actual words that broke the camel's back.
Not after what just happened. Not after the hot, breathless, soul-shaking night we spent tangled in each other's arms.
I knew from the beginning that Tristan Hayes was a line I shouldn't cross.
He wasn't just anyone, he was my brother's best friend. The man I spent years secretly wanting.
But that night... we were broken. We had just buried our parents. And the grief was too heavy, too real...so I begged him to touch me.
To make me forget. To fill the silence that death left behind.
And he did. He held me like I was something fragile.
Kissed me like I was the only thing he needed to breathe.
Then left me bleeding with six words that burned deeper than rejection ever could.
So, I ran. Away from everything that cost me pain.
Now, five years later, I'm back.
Fresh from rejecting the mate who abused me. Still carrying the scars of a pup I never got to hold.
And the man waiting for me at the airport isn't my brother.
It's Tristan.
And he's not the guy I left behind.
He's a biker.
An Alpha.
And when he looked at me, I knew there was no where else to run to.
The mafia princess return
Accidentally Crossing the Tycoon
Four years ago, the Bailey family faced a devastating financial crisis.
Just when bankruptcy seemed inevitable, a mysterious benefactor emerged, offering salvation with one condition: a contract marriage.
Rumors swirled about this enigmatic man—whispers claimed he was hideously ugly and too ashamed to show his face, possibly harboring dark, twisted obsessions.
Without hesitation, the Baileys sacrificed me to protect their precious biological daughter, forcing me to take her place as a pawn in this cold, calculated arrangement.
Luckily, in those four years, the mysterious husband never asked to meet in person.
Now, in the final year of our arrangement, the husband I've never met is demanding we meet face to face.
But disaster struck the night before my return—drunk and disoriented, I stumbled into the wrong hotel room and ended up sleeping with the legendary financial mogul, Caspar Thornton.
What the hell am I supposed to do now?
The Biker's Fate
I squeezed my eyes shut.
"Dani," he pressed. "Do you get me?"
"No, Austin, I don't," I admitted as I pulled my robe closed again and sat up. "You confuse me."
He dragged his hands down his face. "Tell me what's on your mind."
I sighed. "You're everything my parents warned me against. You're secretive, but you're also honest. I feel wholly protected by you, but then you scare me more than anyone I've ever known. You're a bad boy, but when I dated a so-called good one, he turned out to be the devil, so, yeah, I don't get you because you're not what I expected. You drive me crazier than anyone I've ever met, but then you make me feel complete. I'm feeling things I don't quite know how to process and that makes me want to run. I don't want to give up something that might be really, really good, but I also don't want to be stupid and fall for a boy just because he's super pretty and makes me come."
Danielle Harris is the daughter of an overprotective police chief and has led a sheltered life. As a kindergarten teacher, she's as far removed from the world of Harleys and bikers as you could get, but when she's rescued by the sexy and dangerous Austin Carver, her life is changed forever.

He used one of his hands to stroke my cheek and tingles erupted everywhere.
“I’ve spent enough time without you and I will not let anything else keep us apart. Not other wolves, not my drunken father who’s barely holding himself together the past twenty years, not your family – and not even you.”
