THE ALPHA’S CLAIM
Adenike Ayandiran · Ongoing · 115.6k Words
Introduction
She is actually running from a system.
Within days of crossing into the city territories, she is captured by hunters and sold through the Black Howl Market, an illegal exchange where living assets are traded between packs.
She is purchased by Vincenzo DeLuca, the most feared Alpha in the eastern territories.
Vince does not buy her for pleasure.
He buys her because her blood can crown kings.
Installed inside his pack house under permanent guard, Isabella learns the truth her father died to hide: her bloodline controls the ancient compacts that decide which packs rule, which fall, and which are erased. Until she is formally claimed and blood-bound to an Alpha, the compacts remain unstable.
Every pack wants her.
Some want to rule through her.
Some want to kill her to break the system entirely.
As Vince prepares to bind her to secure his empire, his Beta, Rafael Torres, offers her a different temptation: escape. Choice. A future without chains. He promises to help her disappear before the binding seals her fate forever.
But Rafael’s interest is not salvation.
It is a strategy.
And far beyond the city borders, a third power rises: the man Isabella was promised to before she fled, the Alpha who helped orchestrate her father’s “death,” and who now intends to use her blood to burn the entire pack hierarchy to the ground.
If Isabella submits, she becomes a crown.
If she runs, she becomes a war.
Chapter 1
I was already running when the border alarms went quiet.
That was how I knew I had crossed it.
The air changed first. The wind stopped carrying pack scent. The forest went empty in a way that had nothing to do with silence and everything to do with absence. No warnings. No claims. No territorial marks humming under my skin. Just dead space. Neutral ground.
My lungs burned. My feet were numb, bleeding, barely attached to me anymore. I had been human for hours. Too long. My wolf was clawing inside me, angry and panicked, begging to be let out. I couldn’t risk it. Shifting left a signature. Scent. Heat. Sound. Any Alpha tracking the borders would feel it.
I stumbled down the mountain road, phone shaking in my hand, the cracked screen smeared with blood that might have been mine or might have been something else. I didn’t remember falling, but I had stopped counting the times my body hit the ground.
The call finally connected.
“Papa,” I said, and my voice broke on the word.
There was shouting on his end. Wind. Another voice I didn’t recognize. Then his breathing, harsh and fast.
“Isabella,” he said. “Where are you?”
“Past the old north ridge. I crossed. I think I crossed.”
A sharp inhale. Fear. Real fear. Not anger. Not disappointment. Fear.
“Good,” he said. “Good. Keep moving. Do not stop. Do not shift. Do you hear me?”
“I hear you. They’re coming. I know they are. I smelled them before I left.”
“I know.” His voice dropped. “Listen to me. You were promised, but it was not a union. It was not symbolic. It was…”
A crash on his end. Someone shouting his name.
“Papa?”
“They will try to take you alive,” he said quickly. “Because of what you are. Because of your blood..”
“What my blood what?”
“They cannot taste your blood,” he shouted. “Do you hear me? Do not let them…”
The line cut.
I stopped in the middle of the road, staring at the dead screen. My ears rang. My wolf slammed against my ribs, furious, desperate, screaming that something was wrong, wrong, wrong.
“Papa?” I whispered.
Nothing.
I shoved the phone into my pocket and forced myself forward.
This wasn’t a romance flight. This wasn’t me running from a man.
This was asset extraction.
That word had slipped from my father’s mouth once, months ago, when he thought I was asleep. He had been speaking to someone I couldn’t see. He had said, “If they realize the asset is mobile, they will come.”
I hadn’t understood.
Now I did.
Hours later, the lights appeared.
A low building crouched at the base of the mountain, half hidden by trees. One long platform. Rusted rail lines. A single glowing sign that read FREIGHT TRANSFER in chipped white letters. Human words. Human place.
Relief almost knocked me over.
I limped toward it, shivering, my skin tight with cold and exhaustion. The closer I got, the more wrong it felt. The air was thick. Heavy. Sweet and rotten at the same time. Like too many wolves wearing too much perfume.
Inside the open bay doors, people moved between crates and steel tables. Men and women. Tall. Still. Watching everything. Not one of them blinked when I passed the threshold.
A woman smiled at me.
Her lips were human. Her teeth were not.
I slowed.
No radios. No forklifts. No human noise. Only murmurs layered with something deeper. Growls woven under voices. The low hum of dominance rolling through the room.
My wolf went dead silent.
That was worse.
I turned.
A man stood behind me where the door had been.
He had not walked there.
“You look lost,” he said.
“I thought this was a freight station,” I said, forcing the words out.
“It is,” he replied. “Depending on the cargo.”
Symbols were carved into the metal walls. Not graffiti. Marks. Old ones. Pack sigils. Binding signs. Market warnings.
My heart started to slam.
“I need a phone,” I said.
The woman laughed softly.
I stepped back.
Another person blocked me.
Then another.
I smelled it then, finally, under everything else. Wolves. Many. Different packs. Old blood. New blood. Predators standing very still.
I ran.
I didn’t get far.
Something sharp stung my neck. Heat spread down my spine. My legs folded. The world tipped sideways.
Hands caught me.
Voices overlapped.
“Her scent is wrong.”
“Suppressants.”
“No territorial mark.”
“Then she’s worth more.”
My cheek pressed against cold metal. My vision blurred. My wolf thrashed, trapped behind a wall I couldn’t reach.
I tried to speak.
Nothing came out.
Darkness swallowed the room.
When I woke up again, I was lying on a stone.
Cold. Hard. My wrists burned. I tried to move and metal bit into my skin. Chains. Heavy. Anchored above my head.
The room was underground. No windows. Torches set into iron brackets. Rows of cages lined the walls. Some are empty.
Some not.
I turned my head and met the eyes of a woman behind bars. She looked away instantly.
A platform stood at the far end of the chamber. A man in a black coat stood behind a table, shuffling papers.
My mouth was dry. My throat hurts.
People filled the shadows. I couldn’t smell them clearly. Something was blocking it. Drugs. Charms. Both.
The man cleared his throat.
“Lot Forty-Seven,” he called. “Unknown bloodline. Female. Untested.”
A murmur moved through the crowd.
“Cross-border capture,” he continued. “No registered pack. No claim mark. Suppressed.”
I pulled against the chains. Pain shot up my arms. No one looked at my face. They looked at my throat. My wrists. My veins.
“Opening…”
“Withdraw the lot.”
The voice didn’t come from the crowd.
It came from the steps beside the platform.
Every sound in the chamber died.
A man stood there in a dark coat, hands in his pockets. He wasn’t the tallest. He wasn’t the loudest. But the space bent around him. Wolves straightened. Some bowed their heads. Some stepped back without meaning to.
The auctioneer swallowed. “Sir, this lot hasn’t…”
“I’m not bidding,” the man said.
His eyes lifted.
They found mine.
Ice-blue. Controlled. Not hungry.
Assessing.
“I’m claiming.”
The room breathed again all at once.
“That requires…”
“I know what it requires.”
The man walked forward.
Each step was unhurried. Certain.
The chains on my wrists vibrated.
My wolf slammed into the inside of my skin like she recognized something she didn’t want to.
The auctioneer licked his lips. “Alpha DeLuca, this asset is untested. We don’t know what she is.”
The man stopped at the edge of the platform.
“Neither do you,” he said.
He reached up.
And for the first time since the mountain, I smelled him clearly.
Territory.
Dominance.
City steel and blood.
And something old beneath it.
“Release her,” he said.
The hammer struck.
The sound cracked through the chamber like a gunshot.
The chains unlocked.
Hands grabbed me.
The floor rose too fast.
The last thing I saw before darkness closed again was his face above mine, calm and unyielding, as he said quietly, to no one and everyone:
“Seal the borders.”
Then everything went black.

How Not To Fall For A Dragon
Which is why it was more than a little confusing when a letter arrived with my name already printed on a schedule, a dorm waiting, and classes picked out as if someone knew me better than I knew myself. Everyone knows the Academy, it’s where witches sharpen their spells, shifters master their forms, and every kind of magical creature learns to control their gifts.
Everyone except me.
I don’t even know what I am. No shifting, no magic tricks, nothing. Just a girl surrounded by people who can fly, conjure fire, or heal with a touch. So I sit through classes pretending I belong, and I listen hard for any clue that might tell me what’s hidden in my blood.
The only person more curious than me is Blake Nyvas, tall, golden-eyed, and very much a Dragon. People whisper that he’s dangerous, warn me to keep my distance. But Blake seems determined to solve the mystery of me, and somehow I trust him more than anyone else.
Maybe it’s reckless. Maybe it’s dangerous.
But when everyone else looks at me like I don’t belong, Blake looks at me like I’m a riddle worth solving.

A pack of their own
The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."
New to the world of shifters, Draven is human on the run. A beautiful girl who no one could protect. Domonic is the cold Alpha of the Red Wolf Pack. A brotherhood of twelve wolves that live by twelve rules. Rules which they vowed could NEVER be broken.

But she doesn’t know about the child she’s carrying or that the moment she left, Domonic decided rules were made to be broken - and now will he ever find her again? Will she forgive him?
The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

Accardi
“I thought you said you were done chasing me?” Gen mocked.
“I am done chasing you.”
Before she could formulate a witty remark, Matteo threw her down. She landed hard on her back atop his dining room table. She tried to sit up when she noticed what he was doing. His hands were working on his belt. It came free of his pants with a violent yank. She collapsed back on her elbows, her mouth gaping open at the display. His face was a mask of sheer determination, his eyes were a dark gold swimming with heat and desire. His hands wrapped around her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the table. He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”
“You…” she breathed.

Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.

Falling For The Biker: The Vice President's Girl
His eyes darken, flicking to my mouth.
"It's wrong. Your brother would slit my throat for just standing this close. But tell me, little bird" his breath ghosts my skin, "are you trembling because you hate me… or because you've wanted this just as much as I have?"
Wren thought she'd buried the chaos of New Orleans for good—the clubs, the blood-soaked loyalties, the men who lived and died by their kuttes. Seattle gave her everything she ever wanted: freedom, love, a future.
But one betrayal shatters it all.
Dragged home by tragedy, Wren finds herself under the watchful eye of Ezra Jax—the Raven Reapers MC's vice president and her brother's best friend. He's infuriating, dangerous, and far too tempting for a man she should never touch.
And the deeper Wren is pulled back into his world, the more she realizes nothing about her past—or about Ezra—is what she believed.
In the chaos of gang wars, mounting debts, and old betrayals, he becomes the one constant. The more she fights him, the harder she falls. And the more he pushes her away, the more lethal his pull becomes.
Because in this world, love isn't sweet.
It's brutal. Bloody.
And it's bound to break them both.
When loyalty is everything and love can cost your life, will Wren risk her heart on the one man she was never meant to love?
