Sylvia Pearls · Ongoing · 30.2k Words
Introduction
Adrian is the guy everyone wants to be. He’s rich, at the top of the social ladder, and bored. He picks on Vanessa because she’s the only person who doesn’t seem to care about his status. There’s something about her he can’t explain, something quiet and strange that makes him want to figure her out.
When an incident at a beach party goes wrong, Vanessa loses control. Adrian sees her move faster than any human should, and suddenly, he’s obsessed with discovering what she is. But being stuck with Adrian makes it hard for Vanessa to stay a ghost. Her wolf is getting restless, and she can't just watch when people are in real danger. Whether it's a freak accident or someone about to die, Vanessa starts stepping in. Soon, the whole school is talking about a Ghost Guardian who does things no human being can do.
While Vanessa becomes the new queen of the school, Adrian's father is closing in. His family has been leading the hunt to wipe out werewolves since the beginning of time. He thinks they are all gone, and he's looking for any sign that one is left. Now Vanessa has to decide: can she really trust the son of the man who was born to destroy her? Or will her secret get them both killed?
Chapter 1
VANESSA'S POV
The beeping of my alarm is the worst sound in the world. It's 5:30 AM, and my phone is screaming at me from the bedside table. I groan and reach out to kill the noise, but my fingers miss and I end up knocking the phone onto the floor. Great. Just great.
I lean over the edge of the bed to grab it. My phone screen is cracked in three different places, but it still works. Barely. I lie there for a minute, staring at the ceiling of my dorm room. It's small, plain and smells like the lemon cleaner the cleaners use to hide the fact that this building is old. This is Cresthaven Point Academy. It’s an expensive boarding school in California for kids whose parents basically own the sun, the moon, and the stars.
And then there's me. Vanessa Vance. The scholarship girl. I’m the one who has to be perfect, get straight A's, and never cause trouble just to keep my spot here. If I mess up once, I’m out.
Everyone thinks I’m lucky to be here. They think I’m some quiet girl who is grateful for the chance to study with the rich kids.
They have no idea.
Being poor isn't my biggest problem. Not even close.
I'm an only child, which means all my parents' stress is dumped right on me. I check my phone and see a missed text from my mom.
Mom: Did you lock the door? Be careful today, V. Don't let anyone notice anything. We love you.
I sigh and delete the message. My parents are terrified. They think if I even sneeze too loud, the world will find out what we are. We’re werewolves. In a world where my kind is supposed to be extinct, staying invisible isn't just a choice; it's how we stay alive. It's a lot to deal with every day.
I get up and start my routine. I use a cheap bar of soap, then I spray some vanilla body spray to hide the smell of trees and leaves that usually sticks to my skin.
Living here for eight weeks has been exhausting. Cresthaven is beautiful, sure. The buildings look like castles and the grass is always perfectly green. But the people? They are a lot. They walk around in designer clothes and think they’re better than everyone just because they’re rich. They treat me like I’m nothing, and I let them because It’s easier that way.
I finish getting ready and head out. My plan is simple: be invisible. If nobody sees me, nobody can mess with me. But today, my wolf is being a total pain.
As I step out of my room and head down the hallway, the smell hits me like a blow. Most people wouldn't notice, but my nose is a curse. The hallway is filled with five hundred different types of expensive perfumes, body mist, and cologne. It’s too much. The scent of vanilla, sandalwood, and heavy roses clashing together gives me a serious headache. It feels like someone is poking my brain with a needle.
The hallway is already crowded. I passed a group of girls talking about some party that was lit AF over the weekend. They're laughing so loud it sounds like thunder in my ears. Everything is louder for me. Someone slams a locker three rows down and I jump. To them, it's just a noise, but to me, it feels like someone is hitting my chest with a hammer.
I'm almost at my locker when the air feels different. It gets colder, or maybe just heavier. I don't need to look up to know who is blocking my locker.
Adrian Thorne.
He's leaning against the metal locker door like he owns it. His friends are all around him, the Elites. They're the hottest guys in school, and they know it, but they’re also the biggest jerks. Adrian is wearing his varsity jacket, looking bored as he scrolls through his phone.
"Vance," he says, not even looking up from his phone. He just holds out his hand like I’m a servant.
I know the drill. I’ve been doing his History homework for weeks now. It’s the tax I pay to keep him and his friends from bullying me. I reach into my bag and pull out the assignment.
Honestly, I’m so done with his attitude. I don't look away this time. I just hold the paper out and wait.
"Here," I mutter, handing it to him.
Usually, he just takes it and walks away. But today, Adrian finally looks at me. His eyes are gray and sharp, like he's trying to see right through my skin. He takes the paper, but he doesn't let go of the corner when I try to pull away.
He leans in a little closer, and my heart starts to beat very fast.
"Is this good, Vance?" he asks. His voice is low and smooth, but there's something else in it. "Because my grade is trash right now. If I fail, you fail."
"It’s better than you deserve," I say.
I can’t believe I actually said that to his face. Adrian stares at me for a second, looking surprised. He stays right in my space, squinting like he’s trying to figure me out
Inside, I'm screaming. I'm so done with this. I'm smarter than all these kids combined, but I have to play the servant. Last night, I finally snapped. I did his whole paper on the Cold War, but I messed up the facts on purpose. I wrote that the Soviet Union won because they had better disco dancers. I even put a tiny, pink heart over the "i" in his name at the top of the page.
I can’t wait to see the teacher's reaction. Adrian is going to look like a total idiot.
But Adrian doesn't move away. He stays in my space, his eyes squinting at me. He takes a deep breath, and I freeze. Is he... is he smelling me?
"You're acting weird today," he says. "Why are you shaking?"
"I'm not," I lied. I’m actually shaking because I’m trying so hard not to punch him. "Just take the paper, Adrian."
My heart is pounding so hard I'm sure he can hear it. I'm terrified he's going to notice the smell of trees on me, even under the vanilla spray. He's like a bloodhound. He stays there for a second too long, his fingers brushing against mine as he finally pulls the paper away.
"Whatever," he says, finally letting go. "Don't mess with me, Vanessa. I'm not in the mood."
He turns back to his friends, laughing at a joke one of them made. I quickly open my locker, grab my books, and head for class. I can feel his eyes on my back the whole way down the hall.
I reach the classroom and sit in the very back, pulling my hoodie up. I need to disappear. I need to be a ghost again. But I can still feel the spot on my hand where his skin touched mine.
Adrian Thorne is a problem. He's not just an annoying jock anymore. He's starting to look at me like I'm a puzzle he wants to solve. And for a girl with a secret like mine, being a puzzle is the most dangerous thing in the world.
I watch the clock on the wall, waiting for class to start. I wanted to prank him and have a little fun. But now that the bomb is ticking, I'm starting to think I made a huge mistake.
Because when Adrian Thorne finds out someone made a fool of him, he doesn't just get mad. He gets even.

Oops, Wrong Girl to Bully
My back hit the desk. Pain exploded through my skull.
"Girls like you don't get to dream about guys like Kai." Bella's breath was hot on my face. "You don't get to write pathetic love letters."
She shoved me again. Harder.
"Maybe if you weren't such a desperate little—"
I fell. My head cracked against the corner.
Warmth trickled down my neck. Blood.
Their laughter turned to gasps.
The door slammed.
I tried to stand. Couldn't. The room was spinning, fading to black.
Someone... please...
Angelina, the most powerful Alpha who conquered forty-nine packs, dies in a yacht explosion—only to wake up as Aria Sterling, a fifteen-year-old Omega's daughter who just died from bullying.
The original Aria's life was a nightmare. Humiliated when golden boy Kai Matthews posted her love letter online, then shoved to death by his girlfriend Bella Morrison. But that's not all her family faces:
"You got until Monday," the tattooed gangster sneered at Aria's mother. "Ten grand cash. Or I'm taking collateral—your kids' organs fetch top dollar. That pretty daughter of yours? She could make us money another way too."
Now Angelina's lethal combat skills awaken in this fragile body. No more hiding. No more fear.
Armed with an Alpha's ruthlessness and a mysterious blood-red pendant, she'll dismantle everyone who hurt this family—one calculated move at a time.
Goddess Of The Underworld
When the veil between the Divine, the Living, and the Dead begins to crack, Envy is thrust beneath with a job she can’t drop: keep the worlds from bleeding together, shepherd the lost, and make ordinary into armour, breakfasts, bedtime, battle plans. Peace lasts exactly one lullaby. This is the story of an orphan pup who became a goddess by choosing her family; of four imperfect alphas learning how to be better. Steamy, fierce, and full of heart, Goddess of the Underworld is a reverse harem, found-family paranormal romance where love writes the rules and keeps three realms from falling apart.
A Lesson in Magic
Claimed by the Alpha's Love
Four years ago, Fiona's meticulously planned conspiracy turned me from an ordinary omega into a prisoner carrying the weight of a murder charge.
Four years later, I return to a world that has changed beyond recognition.
My best friend Fiona, who is also my stepsister, has become the perfect daughter in my mother's eyes. And my ex-boyfriend, Ethan, is about to hold a high-profile mating ceremony with her.
The love, family bonds, and reputation that I once cherished have all been taken by Fiona.
Just when I had reached my breaking point, questioning the very purpose of my existence, the legendary Alpha Lucas of Moonhaven suddenly appeared in my life.
He is powerful and enigmatic, a figure that all werewolves hold in awe.
Yet, he shows an extraordinary persistence and tenderness towards me.
Is Lucas's appearance a gift from fate, or the start of another conspiracy?
King of the Underworld
However, one fateful day, the King of the Underworld appeared before me and rescued me from the clutches of the most powerful Mafia boss's son. With his deep blue eyes fixed on mine, he spoke softly: "Sephie... short for Persephone... Queen of the Underworld. At last, I have found you." Confused by his words, I stammered out a question, “P..pardon? What does that mean?”
But he simply smiled at me and brushed my hair away from my face with gentle fingers: "You are safe now.”
Sephie, named for the Queen of the Underworld, Persephone, she's quickly finding out how she's destined to fulfill her namesake's role. Adrik is the King of the Underworld, the boss of all bosses in the city he runs.
She was a seemingly normal girl, with a normal job until it all changed one night when he walked through the front door and her life changed abruptly. Now, she finds herself on the wrong side of powerful men, but under the protection of the most powerful among them.
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
The Forbidden Throb
Mine changed in the time it took to open a door.
Behind it: my fiancé Nicholas with another woman.
Three months until our wedding. Three seconds to watch it all burn.
I should have run. Should have screamed. Should have done anything except stand there like a fool.
Instead, I heard the devil himself whisper in my ear:
"If you're willing, I could marry you."
Daniel. The brother I was warned about. The one who made Nicholas look like a choir boy.
He leaned against the wall, watching my world implode.
My pulse thundered. "What?"
"You heard me." His eyes burned into mine. "Marry me, Emma."
But as I stared into those magnetic eyes, I realized something terrifying:
I wanted to say yes to him.
Game on.
The Biker Alpha Who Became My Second Chance Mate
"You're like a sister to me."
Those were the actual words that broke the camel's back.
Not after what just happened. Not after the hot, breathless, soul-shaking night we spent tangled in each other's arms.
I knew from the beginning that Tristan Hayes was a line I shouldn't cross.
He wasn't just anyone, he was my brother's best friend. The man I spent years secretly wanting.
But that night... we were broken. We had just buried our parents. And the grief was too heavy, too real...so I begged him to touch me.
To make me forget. To fill the silence that death left behind.
And he did. He held me like I was something fragile.
Kissed me like I was the only thing he needed to breathe.
Then left me bleeding with six words that burned deeper than rejection ever could.
So, I ran. Away from everything that cost me pain.
Now, five years later, I'm back.
Fresh from rejecting the mate who abused me. Still carrying the scars of a pup I never got to hold.
And the man waiting for me at the airport isn't my brother.
It's Tristan.
And he's not the guy I left behind.
He's a biker.
An Alpha.
And when he looked at me, I knew there was no where else to run to.
The mafia princess return
Accidentally Crossing the Tycoon
Four years ago, the Bailey family faced a devastating financial crisis.
Just when bankruptcy seemed inevitable, a mysterious benefactor emerged, offering salvation with one condition: a contract marriage.
Rumors swirled about this enigmatic man—whispers claimed he was hideously ugly and too ashamed to show his face, possibly harboring dark, twisted obsessions.
Without hesitation, the Baileys sacrificed me to protect their precious biological daughter, forcing me to take her place as a pawn in this cold, calculated arrangement.
Luckily, in those four years, the mysterious husband never asked to meet in person.
Now, in the final year of our arrangement, the husband I've never met is demanding we meet face to face.
But disaster struck the night before my return—drunk and disoriented, I stumbled into the wrong hotel room and ended up sleeping with the legendary financial mogul, Caspar Thornton.
What the hell am I supposed to do now?
Chosen By The Cursed Alpha King
"But I will survive."
I whispered it to the moon, to the chains, to myself—until I believed it.
They say Alpha King Maximus is a monster — too big, too brutal, too cursed. His bed is a death sentence, and no woman has ever left it alive. So why did he choose me?
The fat, unwanted omega. The one my own pack offered up like trash. One night with the merciless King was supposed to end me. Instead, it ruined me. Now I crave the man who takes without mercy. His touch burns. His voice commands. His body destroys. And I keep going back for more. But Maximus doesn't do love. He doesn't do mates. He takes. He owns. And he never stays.
"Before my beast consumes me completely—I need a son to take the throne."
Too bad for him…I'm not the weak, pathetic girl they threw away. I'm something far more dangerous —the one woman who can break his curse… or break his kingdom.
