THE ANCIENT VAMPIRE KING'S OBSESSION WITH HIS FATED FAE
EIRLYS VAUGHN · Ongoing · 103.4k Words
Introduction
The vampire wiped my blood from his jaw and smirked. "I was locked in a chained coffin for eight centuries. My etiquette is understandably rusty."
"Next time, ask before you bite."
His dark eyes locked onto mine. "I never ask for what already belongs to me."
I, Lenora Draxen, was a nobody in the Solaryn Abbey until my nineteenth birthday changed absolutely everything.
During the Luminal Ranking ceremony, the Celestial Orb registered me as a Voidborn and violently turned pitch black. This reaction exposed my hidden Dark Essence to the entire dominion.
Hunted by Light Fae executioners and betrayed by my lifelong mentor, I fled deep into the forbidden woods to survive.
I sought shelter inside a ruined gothic castle and awakened Dmitri Dragunov, an arrogant vampire lord imprisoned by his brother centuries ago.
He needed my unique Warlock blood to shatter the magical chains binding his chest. I needed his terrifying physical strength to protect me from the factions hunting me.
We established a strictly transactional blood pact to ensure our mutual survival.
Keeping our arrangement strictly professional quickly became impossible. Dmitri restored his ancestral home and treated me with an intense respect I had never known.
As I struggled to control the dangerous magic awakening inside me, our hostile banter shifted into a consuming attraction.
Now, a brutal warlord wants to force me into a blood-marriage, and the High Sovereign wants me executed.
I must master my power alongside my vampire mate to destroy the enemies threatening us.
Chapter 1
I stood in front of the cracked mirror in our small dormitory room. I pulled the rough fabric of my gray dress over my shoulders.
The dress was a standard-issue uniform for all the orphans living in the Solaryn Abbey. I pulled at the tight collar because the coarse wool scratched my sensitive skin.
"You are fidgeting again," Maeve said from her bed behind me.
I turned around and sighed. "I cannot help it. I just want today to be over."
Maeve stood up and walked over to me. She had pale skin and long brown hair that fell past her shoulders. She wore the same drab gray dress, yet she always managed to make the cheap fabric look neat. She reached out and adjusted the collar of my uniform.
"Everyone is nervous about the Luminal Ranking," Maeve said. "It determines where we get to live and what jobs we can hold in the dominion. You should try to relax."
"It is easy for you to say," I told her. "The other Fae actually like you. They look at me like I am a disease."
Maeve frowned and shook her head. "They are just ignorant. They do not understand why you speak a different language sometimes."
"I do not even understand why I speak it," I muttered.
"I only speak the strange words when I am having a nightmare. I never do it on purpose."
"It does not matter," Maeve insisted.
"You are nineteen years old today, since our birthdays fall on the same week. We are both adults now. Once we touch the Celestial Orb and receive our ranks, we can leave this abbey and find a small house in the lower city."
"I hope you are right," I said.
"I spent three hours scrubbing the courtyard stones this morning while the other girls rested. The head matron made sure I got the hardest section."
"The matron is strict with everyone," Maeve pointed out.
"But she definitely targets you. You just need to endure it for a little longer."
"I try to keep my head down," I replied, although I felt frustrated. "I never want to cause trouble, nor do I seek attention. They always find a reason to punish me anyway."
"Roland will help us," Maeve reminded me. "He is a good mentor. He always looks out for us orphans."
"He does," I agreed. "I am grateful for his kindness. I just wish I belonged here."
A loud bronze bell rang through the stone corridors of the abbey. The heavy sound echoed off the high walls. The bell signaled that all nineteen-year-old wards needed to report to the grand hall for the ceremony.
"It is time," Maeve said. She grabbed my hand and squeezed it. "Let us go get our rankings."
We walked out of our small room and joined the crowd of other orphans in the hallway. We followed the line of students down the spiral stone staircases. We finally reached the heavy oak doors of the grand hall.
Two royal guards in shining silver armor pushed the doors open for us.
We stepped into the massive room. The grand hall was packed with hundreds of people.
The room was bathed in bright golden light reflecting off the pristine marble floors. The Light Fae nobility stood on the balconies above us.
They wore beautiful silk gowns and velvet suits.
They looked down at us with bored expressions.
I shifted my weight from one foot to the other on the hard floor. The hall was very warm because there were so many bodies pressed together. I wiped a drop of sweat from my forehead.
"Do you think the stray will even register on the orb?" a girl named Elisia whispered loudly from the row behind me.
"She talks in that demon language when she sleeps," another noble girl replied and laughed cruelly. "She will probably be a Fading with ten percent light."
I looked down at my worn leather shoes and ignored them. Maeve turned her head and glared at the two girls.
"Ignore those spoiled brats," Maeve said in a soft voice. "You are going to do fine today. You will be an Emberborn at the very least."
"I hate it when they call me a stray," I whispered back. "I just want to get my rank and leave."
The crowd went quiet. The High Priest of the abbey walked to the center of the raised marble dais at the front of the hall. He wore long white robes trimmed with gold thread. He raised his hands to address the citizens.
"Welcome to the Luminal Ranking ceremony," the High Priest announced. His voice echoed clearly across the silent room. "Today we measure the inherent light within our nineteen-year-old wards and citizens. This holy light dictates your future standing within the Solaryn Dominion."
Roland Ashcroft stood beside the pedestal holding the Celestial Orb. Roland was the Keeper of the Abbey. He had mentored me for many years and often gave me extra portions of bread from the kitchens. He gave me a reassuring nod before he unrolled a long parchment scroll.
"The Celestial Orb will reveal the truth of your soul," Roland said to the crowd. "When your name is called, you will approach the dais and place both hands on the glass, for the magic will calculate your percentage and assign your title."
Roland cleared his throat and looked at the top of his list.
"Elisia Vance," Roland called out.
Elisia pushed past me and walked up the marble stairs with her chin raised. She stopped in front of the pedestal. She placed her hands on the smooth glass of the Celestial Orb. The artifact instantly glowed with a blinding golden brilliance.
Golden letters materialized in the air above the glass.
"Radiant," Roland read aloud. "Ninety-two percent."
The crowd clapped loudly. The nobles on the balcony nodded in approval. Elisia smiled proudly and walked down the stairs to join her wealthy parents.
"I knew she would get a noble rank," Maeve muttered next to me. "Her father buys half the abbey's supplies. I bet the orb is rigged."
"Hush," I warned her. "The guards will hear you and we will get into trouble unless you lower your voice."
The ceremony continued for another hour. A boy named Kael touched the orb and received the rank of Luminary with seventy-five percent light. A timid girl from the lower city touched the glass and the glow was very dim. She received the rank of Fading with only twenty-two percent light. She cried silently as she walked away.
"Maeve Alden," Roland announced.
Maeve let go of my hand and took a deep breath. She walked up the steps and stopped in front of the artifact. She looked very nervous. She placed her palms on the orb and the golden light flared bright enough to illuminate her face.
"Luminary," Roland declared for the room to hear. "Seventy-four percent."
I smiled and clapped for my friend. Maeve let out a loud sigh of relief. She walked down the stairs and took her spot next to me again.
"I told you that you had strong magic," I said to her.

I hate girls like her.
Entitled.
Delicate.

Still.
The image of her standing in the doorway, clutching her cardigan tighter around her narrow shoulders, trying to smile through the awkwardness, won’t leave me.
Neither does the memory of Tyler. Leaving her here without a second thought.
I shouldn’t care.
I don’t care.
It’s not my problem if Tyler’s an idiot.
It’s not my business if some spoiled little princess has to walk home in the dark.

What starts as a wild one-night stand blossoms into a tender, almost surreal romance—art galleries, riverside walks, and whispered promises that feel too perfect to be real. But when Alex vanishes without a word after a morning of gentle intimacy, Sarah is left with a hollow ache and a creeping doubt.
Their encounter was no accident. Behind Alex's blue eyes and skilled touch lies a darkness far deeper than she ever imagined—and the love that burned so bright may come with a price that could destroy her.
Pregnant by My Husband's Rival Alpha
Those words should have destroyed me, but the truth was worse: I'd been used as a broodmare by the man who swore to love me, set up in a hotel room with a stranger because My husband Alexander Cross couldn't father children himself, and now I carried the secret babies of Damon Lester—the most powerful and dangerous Alpha in San Loris—while my own family replaced me with the daughter they'd always wanted. But when that same stranger's doctor appeared at my door, when twenty million dollars exchanged hands over a fake perfume bearing my secret identity, and when Damon's gray eyes locked onto mine with recognition I couldn't afford, I realized my carefully hidden life as the legendary perfumer Vera was colliding with a pregnancy that could cost me everything.
Could I protect my babies from the husband plotting my death, hide my true identity from the Alpha who's been hunting me for years, and reclaim the freedom I'd buried along with my dreams—even if it means standing alone against the wolves who see me as nothing more than a womb to be used and discarded?

Iron And Glamour Just Don't Mix
Well… Sometimes you just might turn out to be right.
It turns out, the fae stole my little brother. In his place? A pixie with boundary issues and a talent for home repairs.
I’ve spent my life taking care of everyone else. So when my baby brother is taken, I don’t hesitate. I walk straight into a faerie mansion and make a bargain with its infuriatingly charming master.
Kie is everything you’d expect from a dangerous fae, beautiful, political, and entirely too amused by me. Power wrapped in a smirk. Sensual, mischievous, and far too aware of the effect he has on people. He agrees to help me find my brother.
For a price.
Now I’m bound by a faerie bargain and navigating a world of glamour, manipulation, and ancient rules I definitely should have learned sooner, enchanted forests, political games, magical contracts, and a fae lord who treats seduction like a perfectly reasonable negotiation tactic.
Iron is how I keep people out.
Glamour is how he draws them in.
And apparently, they just don’t mix.
The Rejected Luna’s Rise
Luna Ariana Volkstane slid the formal rejection request across the table. "Let's end this bond. It's better for you, me, and your first love."
He just smirked. "You want me to reject you? You think you can break our bond that easily?"
So she did. Ariana cut ties with him completely, poured herself into her career, and rose to global fame as a legendary healer, her knowledge of rare herbs, wolf anatomy, and ancient magic sought after across continents.
The powerful suitors lined up. The Alpha of an overseas empire whispered, "Ariana, hurry up and perform the severing ritual. I can't wait to claim you." A powerful pack leader vowed, "I'll be there with you the day you break the bond." A legendary wolf attorney promised, "I'll handle your rejection case with the pack council myself."
Ariana just rubbed her temples. It's not that she didn't want the split, she wanted it more than anything, it's just that the Alpha she was mated to refused to let go.
Finally, she announced, "Whoever can officially get me rejected, I'll put you at the head table of my bond-breaking celebration."
Not long after, Alpha Damian was served the official rejection request right in the middle of an emergency pack council meeting. That same afternoon, he was attacked by rogues at the gates of his own territory.
When Ariana showed up at the pack infirmary with healing herbs, she repeated calmly, "Let's sever the mate bond. It's better for you, me, and everyone else."
But the cold, untouchable Alpha pulled her into his arms, his eyes blood-red with fury. "You want me to reject you? Over my dead body."
