Introduction
Finding the Crown Prince, Ronan, with her best friend was a heartbreak. Hearing her father command her to accept the betrayal "for the sake of the pack" was a death sentence. Trapped in a political alliance she no longer wants, Liora decides to do the one thing no one expects: She rebels.
Leonard Cole is the "Bastard Prince"—a dangerous exile with a dark reputation and a grudge that could burn the kingdom to ashes. He’s back to reclaim his name, and he’s starting as the new ice hockey coach at Silverhart College. He doesn’t care about packs, or politics, or his brother’s "perfect" fiancée.
Until Liora walks into his bar, smelling of heartbreak and defiance.
What starts as a one-night stand for revenge turns into a high-stakes game of scandal and survival. Leonard has the evidence to ruin Ronan forever, and Liora is the only one bold enough to play it. But as the ice thaws between them, a forbidden truth emerges:
The bond she shared with Ronan was a lie. The monster she’s using for revenge is her true mate.
In a world of royal wolves and cold-blooded secrets, Liora must decide: will she crawl back to the prince who broke her, or will she claim the bastard who set her soul on fire?
Chapter 1
Liora's POV
“Oh.. fuck.“
Talia—my best friend's voice echoed through the room as my chosen mate—Ronan—the Prince of the Silverhart pack—my fiancé for the past three years thrusted into her with reckless abandon. We were supposed to get married after we graduate from the Silverhart College in the next two years, but not anymore.
Silverhart College is a prestigious College built in the heart of the Silverhart Pack. An Ivy League for prominent wolves in the country.
I blinked severally just to ascertain if I was seeing correctly—if the gut-wrenching scene unfolding berme wasn't just an illusion of my mind but when I opened my eyes the scene never disappeared—if anything—it was clearer.
Talia was bent over the study desk at the far end of the room, her acrylic nails gripping the edges tightly like it was only thing teething her to sanity, while Ronan was pounding into her brutally, his hands grabbed her breasts and used it to move her forth and back.
The scene feels like someone's claws had reached into my heart and ripped it apart.
The 'Happy birthday, my sunshine' red velvet cake trembled in my hand. Today was his birthday and I had left my dorm to come surprise the man I love and here he was, fucking my best friend like I didn't even exist at all.
My eyes watered but I forced myself to remain calm like father had taught me. 'You're an Alpha female, Liora. Don't show your weakness,' Father would always say.
“Oh… Ronan, yes… there—fuck—you like my pussy, don't you?“ She moaned out—the sound were like a bad music to my ears. “How did you like your birthday gift?“
“Yes—fuck—i—love—it,” a guttural growl tore out of his throat, and he threw his head back. “So tight, baby. Squeezing my dick together.“
“Am I better than Liora?“ She screamed out. “Is my pussy better than hers?"
Ronan didn't answer immediately and for a moment, I swear, I hoped that he would say no—say that I'm better than her at least.
“Yes,” he finally answered. “I love your pussy better than hers.“
My chest clenched. My stomach knotted painfully from the betrayal of our bond. My wolf—Sam—snarled angrily—wanting to break free and rip these betrayals apart—but then I held back; I won't waste my strength dealing with them.
This was the same man I had given absolutely everything to—yet he's here slandering me at every given opportunity.
How pathetic?
No.. no.. this can't be happening, right?!
I should probably leave right?! Nothing here for me anymore but then I decided to show myself—just to let them know I saw them.
“I'm about to cummmmmmm, Ronan—”
I couldn't take it anymore. “You bastards!“ I screamed, storming towards them with unrestrained rage.
Ronan thrusted out of Talia and stepped back, his eyes and mouth widening in shock. “Liora, this isn't what you—”
I didn't listen. I slapped the cake on his pathetic face. The board fell to the floor, leaving the buttercream icing on his face. “You cheating asshole!“
Then I turned towards Talia—she was trying to gather the clothes sprawled across the floor. I hauled the gift bag at her. “You were supposed to be my friend, Talia. My sister.“ My voice trembled from the pain.
Talia and I had been friends since childhood. Her father was the gamma of my pack—BlueMoon pack. She was more of a sister—than my own sister—and I couldn't have ever imagined this from her.
She moved towards the bed and wrapped the covers around her body.
“Are you crazy, Liora?!“ Ronan growled, dragging his claws along his face to get rid of the icing. “Who the hell did you think you are?“ He wrapped his hand around my wrist but I snatched myself away, my eyes blazing.
“You both!“ I pointed an accusatory fingers at them. “I'm done with you. I don't want to see you ever again! The engagement is off and I'm rejecting right now!“
Ronan's lips twisted into a mocking smirk. “Reject me?!“ He repeated as if my words were the dumbest he's ever heard in his entire life. “You can't reject me, Liora.“ He rolled out a chunk of tissue to wipe his face.
I let out a cold laugh—baffled by the sheer arrogance in his voice. I ran a hand through my hair. “Of course, I will.“ I held up my hand, bracing myself for the rejection pain. “I, Liora of the house of Thornhart, princess of the BlueMoon Pack reject you, Prince Ronan Cole of the Silverhart Pack as my mate and future Alpha.“
The moment the words slipped past my lips, my chest tightened with pain.
Ronan laughed—his voice sharp and mocking and he beckoned at Talia. She moved closer to him and he wrapped a hand possessively around her waist.
“You?!“ He spat, trying so hard to muffle his laughter. “You really think you can reject me, huh? And you think your father, the king who values reputation and power more than anything else, will really let you reject me and call off the engagement?“
My lips trembled as his words settled on me like a dark cloud—especially the fact that he might be right. Alpha Magnus—the most powerful and famous Alpha in the Northern province—values his reputation so much and he won't let anything and anyone to tarnish it.
Initially, I never loved Ronan, nor was he my fated mate.. but father forced our engagement for political alliance and since I wasn't seeing anyone else, I decided to make it work and seeing how much Ronan was head over heels for me, I couldn't help me but love him.
“Father might be an Alpha, but he is my father and he would do right by me by calling off this pathetic engagement,” I said even though a voice inside me echoed otherwise.
“Really,” Talia sneered. “So you think the strategic Alpha Magnus would care about your feelings over an alliance with the biggest pack in the world. Cut the crap, Liora.“
A lump hang in my throat. I opened my mouth several times but no words came through.
Ronan stepped closer to me—his expression triumphant like I'm exactly where he wanted me to be—helpless and doubtful of my father's stance.
His hands reached out and he grabbed my chin, forcing me to look into his eyes. At this juncture, I do not even have the strength to get away from him anymore.
“You better remain quiet for your own good,” he spat, through gritted teeth. “We get married as planned. You sit beside me as my Luna when I become the Alpha, and Talia, will be my mistress and the woman who owned my heart and bed, since you're too boring to please me.“ His eyes drifted towards her, filled with so much affection—same way he looked at me just yesterday.
Had he been faking it all along?
Too boring to please him?
The word hit me like a sledgehammer. I knew I wasn't so experienced in sex but then.. he had never complained.
I wrapped my hand around his wrists, tears blurring my vision. “I thought you loved me, Ronan? But if you love Talia so much… why don't you marry her instead?“
“Loved you?“ He laughed, his claws digging into my flesh. “I never did, Talia. I just needed you to become the Alpha. Talia has always been the woman I love.
Finally, hot tears slide down my cheeks. “You're pathetic, Ronan. Using a woman for your agenda.“ I slapped his hand away. “Only a coward does that and I refused to be your leverage to the throne, Ronan Cole.“
Talia and Ronan stared at me with so much gleam in their eyes like they were enjoying every bit of my devastation.
“Prepare for the rejection ceremony.“ I wiped off my tears and turned away, already walking out to get away from the heavily suffocating room. “I'm going to talk to my father and he'll send back the engagement gifts.“
Ronan’s smirk widened. “Run to your father all you want, Liora. But when this is over, you’ll be standing beside me at the altar—and in my bed—whether you like it or not.”
Their laugh followed me out the door. I kept my chin high, but inside, my heart had already shattered into a thousand shards

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."
