Sofia Summers · Completed · 349.0k Words
Introduction
"Victoria, you will pay for your actions!" he growled.
"No…" I whispered weakly, but he had already forced me to sign a marriage certificate.
Little did I know, this domineering man was New York City's wealthiest tycoon. And he had no idea that the small-town girl he mistook for his runaway fiancée was actually the world-renowned healer he had been desperately searching for.
Scarlett Ross, the world's top integrative medicine doctor, master of life-point massage and expert in pharmaceutical techniques, finds herself swept into the whirlwind of high society. She is mistaken for Gabriel Rothschild's missing bride, a woman who looks exactly like her.
Gabriel Rothschild, the ruthless master of New York's business empire, marries Scarlett to appease his dying grandmother, binding them in a marriage contract.
As they spend more time together, their feelings deepen. Gabriel begins to uncover Scarlett's astonishing secrets: she can bring his grandmother back from the brink of death; she can use her exceptional combat skills to take down her slanderous ex-fiancé; she can outwit those who seek to harm her with her cunning strategies.
Who is his contract bride really? A hidden healer, a hacker genius, a mercenary queen—Gabriel is determined to unmask her true identity.
Chapter 1
Scarlett's POV
"OH MY!" I knew something was wrong the moment I felt the tiny prick against my thigh. The glass jar of Dream Herb had tipped over on my workbench, and one of the needle-like leaves had pierced through my jeans.
Dream Herb was an anesthetic herb I was researching. It could cause gradual numbness in the limbs, inability to speak, and eventually loss of consciousness within three hours. Unfortunately, I became its first user.
I tracked my symptoms with clinical detachment while stumbling in my small pharmacy in Old Brooklyn. The numbness was spreading faster than expected — unusual potency in this batch. My fingers fumbled with the "CLOSED" sign as pins and needles crawled up my arms.
I turned around, intending to find some way to alleviate my symptoms. At that moment, the bell on the door rang urgently. Despite the situation, I automatically put on a professional smile.
"Welcome to Healing Corner. How can I—"
My greeting died as a man in an impeccable black suit filled the doorframe. His cold gray eyes locked onto mine with such hostility that I instinctively took a step back. Something about his sculpted features and commanding presence screamed danger.
"Victoria," he said, voice dripping with contempt. "How convenient to find you hiding in this... establishment."
I frowned, confusion momentarily overriding my concern about the spreading paralysis. "I think you've mistaken me for someone else. I'm Scarlett Ross, the owner."
His laugh was sharp enough to cut glass. "Drop the act. Did you really think changing your name and opening this pathetic little shop would keep you hidden?"
Before I could respond, he closed the distance between us with two long strides. His fingers wrapped around my wrist with bruising force, but I barely felt it through the growing numbness.
"Your timing couldn't be worse," I said, feeling my knees starting to buckle. "I've just been stabbed by—"
He wasn't listening. With surprising ease, he scooped me up as my legs gave way completely. The paralysis was accelerating – another twenty minutes and even speech would become difficult.
"Put me down," I demanded, but my voice lacked its usual authority.
"Not a chance," he growled, carrying me outside where a fleet of black SUVs had materialized, blocking the entire street. Men in tactical gear formed a perimeter while onlookers gawked and raised smartphones to capture the scene.
He deposited me none too gently in the backseat of the lead vehicle. As we pulled away, I watched my pharmacy recede through the tinted windows, along with any chance of getting the antidote I kept in the back room.
"Phone," he demanded, palm outstretched.
"Go to hell."
His fingers found my jacket pocket anyway, extracting my smartphone and powering it off before pocketing it.
"Who are you?" I asked, fighting to keep my voice steady as the SUV accelerated through Brooklyn streets. "And why do you think I'm Victoria?"
His marble-carved features remained impassive. "Gabriel Rothschild. And your pathetic disguise doesn't fool me."
The information about this name instantly matched in my mind. Gabriel Rothschild — the ruthless CEO of Rothschild Enterprises, New York's premier business dynasty. His reputation preceded him everywhere: cold-blooded negotiator, financial predator, the man who'd collapsed entire companies with a single phone call.
This wasn't just trouble; this was catastrophic.
"Listen carefully," I said, summoning every ounce of authority I had left. "I'm not Victoria. I'm Scarlett Ross. Check my ID."
"Your forged documents mean nothing," he snapped. "The wedding is tomorrow, and Grandmother is dying. You think you can just disappear after signing a contract?"
Wedding? Grandmother? Contract? None of this made sense. I had no idea who that Victoria person was. Besides, I was supposed to get married tomorrow—to Jack, fulfilling a foolish promise I had made in my childhood.
We arrived at City Hall with alarming speed. The paralysis had reached my torso, making breathing increasingly deliberate. Gabriel carried me inside like a ragdoll, his security team clearing a path through startled bureaucrats.
The marriage registration process passed in a blur – documents appeared, officials stammered under Gabriel's intimidating presence, and somehow my immobile hand was guided to sign papers I couldn't even read.
"Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Rothschild," someone said, voice fading as we returned to the SUV. A diamond ring, heavy and cold, was slipped onto my finger—an ostentatious prison shackle worth more than most people's lifetime earnings.
"Now listen," Gabriel said once we were moving again. "Grandmother wants to see her grandson married before she dies. You will play your part. After that, I don't care where you go or what you do, but you will not embarrass the Rothschild name."
I mustered all my remaining strength and mumbled, "I'm not Victoria. My fiancé is Jack Parker..."
"Prove it to me." His voice was cold and demanding.
As the numbness crept up my neck, I felt a cold sweat break out on my forehead. My attempts to speak turned into a strangled whisper, my vocal cords betraying me. I could no longer make a sound.
He squinted at me, his eyes narrowing with suspicion and disdain. It was clear he believed he had seen through my lie.
"Speed up," he commanded the driver, his tone leaving no room for argument. The driver nodded and the vehicle began to move, the hum of the engine a stark contrast to the silence that enveloped me.
As we drove, I felt the world around me blur and fade, the effects of the Dream Herb taking full hold. I had to find a way out of this, but my body was betraying me.
It was all too late; the marriage certificate had already been signed. Legally, I was now Mrs. Rothschild.
Gradually, darkness claimed me. The paralysis spread like a shadow across my consciousness until there was nothing left but the void.
I don't know how much time passed before I felt someone's breath against my ear, pulling me back to awareness. My instincts kicked in instantly, sharpening my senses through the fog.
I flexed my fingers experimentally. Control was returning to my limbs.
Without warning—I clenched my fist and swung forward!
My target reacted with startling speed, catching my punch mid-air. Gabriel Rothschild's steel-gray eyes widened slightly—perhaps the only indication of surprise his perfectly composed face would allow.
"Damn it," I muttered. My strength hadn't fully returned, my muscles still cotton-soft from the Dream Herb. Otherwise, he wouldn't have stood a chance.
I glared at him with undisguised fury. "You absolute bastard! How dare you force me into marriage!"
Gabriel stared back at me, his expression glacial. "You're the one who broke our contract. I merely enforced our agreement."
My brow furrowed in confusion. I opened my mouth to argue when the door burst open. An older man in an immaculate suit rushed in, his face contorted with panic.
"Mr. Rothschild, you need to come quickly," the butler, Barry, gasped. "Your grandmother has collapsed. The doctors are trying to revive her now!"

Neither does the memory of Tyler. Leaving her here without a second thought.
I shouldn’t care.
I don’t care.

What? No—wait… oh Moon Goddess, no.
Please tell me you're joking, Lex.
But she's not. I can feel her excitement bubbling under my skin, while all I feel is dread.
We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.
And then, just as quickly… he sees me.
His expression twists.
"Fuck no."
He turns—and runs.

How Not To Fall For A Dragon
Which is why it was more than a little confusing when a letter arrived with my name already printed on a schedule, a dorm waiting, and classes picked out as if someone knew me better than I knew myself. Everyone knows the Academy, it’s where witches sharpen their spells, shifters master their forms, and every kind of magical creature learns to control their gifts.
Everyone except me.
I don’t even know what I am. No shifting, no magic tricks, nothing. Just a girl surrounded by people who can fly, conjure fire, or heal with a touch. So I sit through classes pretending I belong, and I listen hard for any clue that might tell me what’s hidden in my blood.
The only person more curious than me is Blake Nyvas, tall, golden-eyed, and very much a Dragon. People whisper that he’s dangerous, warn me to keep my distance. But Blake seems determined to solve the mystery of me, and somehow I trust him more than anyone else.
Maybe it’s reckless. Maybe it’s dangerous.
But when everyone else looks at me like I don’t belong, Blake looks at me like I’m a riddle worth solving.

Steamy, fierce, and full of heart, Goddess of the Underworld is a reverse harem, found-family paranormal romance where love writes the rules and keeps three realms from falling apart.
A pack of their own
The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."
New to the world of shifters, Draven is human on the run. A beautiful girl who no one could protect. Domonic is the cold Alpha of the Red Wolf Pack. A brotherhood of twelve wolves that live by twelve rules. Rules which they vowed could NEVER be broken.
Especially - Rule Number One - No Mates
When Draven meets Domonic, he knows that she is his mate, but Draven has no idea what a mate is, only that she has fallen in love with a shifter. An Alpha that will break her heart to make her leave. Promising herself, she will never forgive him, she disappears.
But she doesn’t know about the child she’s carrying or that the moment she left, Domonic decided rules were made to be broken - and now will he ever find her again? Will she forgive him?
The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
Invisible To Her Bully
Falling For The Biker: The Vice President's Girl
His eyes darken, flicking to my mouth.
"It's wrong. Your brother would slit my throat for just standing this close. But tell me, little bird" his breath ghosts my skin, "are you trembling because you hate me… or because you've wanted this just as much as I have?"
Wren thought she'd buried the chaos of New Orleans for good—the clubs, the blood-soaked loyalties, the men who lived and died by their kuttes. Seattle gave her everything she ever wanted: freedom, love, a future.
But one betrayal shatters it all.
Dragged home by tragedy, Wren finds herself under the watchful eye of Ezra Jax—the Raven Reapers MC's vice president and her brother's best friend. He's infuriating, dangerous, and far too tempting for a man she should never touch.
And the deeper Wren is pulled back into his world, the more she realizes nothing about her past—or about Ezra—is what she believed.
In the chaos of gang wars, mounting debts, and old betrayals, he becomes the one constant. The more she fights him, the harder she falls. And the more he pushes her away, the more lethal his pull becomes.
Because in this world, love isn't sweet.
It's brutal. Bloody.
And it's bound to break them both.
When loyalty is everything and love can cost your life, will Wren risk her heart on the one man she was never meant to love?
