"Amelia?" I asked.
"Stop asking if I'm okay and take me, Leonardo!" she shouted. "Harder!"

Rule number one? Some boundaries are meant to be broken, no matter the consequences.
Chapter 1
Amelia's Point of View
Arriving at my new job at LeonardoCorp was a mix of anxiety and excitement. As I approached the impressive building, with its glass walls reflecting the city around it, I felt like I was stepping into a completely different world from what I knew.
I was welcomed at the reception by a friendly attendant who handed me a temporary badge and directed me to the 12th floor, where the marketing department was located. The elevator rose slowly, giving me a moment to take a deep breath and mentally prepare for what was to come.
As soon as I stepped out of the elevator, I met Leonardo, my supervisor. He had a serious, professional demeanor, but greeted me with a polite smile. “Welcome to LeonardoCorp, Amelia. I’ll show you where you’ll be working.”
I followed Leonardo down the hall, trying to take in every detail around me. The walls were decorated with modern art, and the offices were separated by glass partitions, providing a clear view of each department's activity.
"This is your desk," Leonardo said, indicating a well-organized workstation with a sleek computer. "You'll start by assisting with administrative tasks. If you need anything, I'll be in the office next door."
I thanked him and began to settle in, determined to make a strong first impression. My first task involved organizing files and preparing reports. I dived in, focusing on each detail, hoping to prove my efficiency.
A couple of hours later, Leonardo returned, looking more serious. "Amelia, I need you to take these documents to the meeting room on the 18th floor. They need to be reviewed by Mr. Moretti personally."
My heart raced. Alex Moretti? The CEO? I knew it was unlikely to meet him on my first day, but the thought made my stomach knot with nerves. I gathered the documents and entered the elevator, mentally preparing myself.
When I arrived on the 18th floor, the atmosphere seemed even more formal. People moved quickly, projecting focus and purpose. I located the meeting room and knocked lightly before entering.
"Come in," a deep voice replied.
I opened the door and found myself face-to-face with Alex Moretti. He was sitting at the head of the table, engrossed in discussion with a group of executives. His presence was magnetic, commanding attention without effort. Tall, with dark hair and striking green eyes, he exuded a calm but undeniable authority.
"Excuse me," I murmured, keeping my voice steady. "Leonardo asked me to deliver these documents."
He glanced up, his gaze meeting mine, and I felt a spark of recognition. He nodded, acknowledging me with a slight smile. "Thank you, Amelia," he said, surprising me by using my name.
"You're welcome, Mr. Moretti," I replied, doing my best to stay composed.
“Call me Alex,” he corrected, his smile warm. “Welcome to LeonardoCorp.”
I thanked him, and as I left the room, I couldn’t shake the sense of excitement from the encounter. Returning to my desk, I tried to refocus, but Alex’s image lingered in my mind.
Later, during lunch, I sat with some colleagues in the small kitchen area. Megan, a marketing assistant, introduced herself warmly. "Hi, you must be the new intern. I’m Megan."
“Hi, Megan. I’m Amelia,” I replied. “Today’s been a bit of a whirlwind, but I’m enjoying it so far.”
Megan chuckled. “The first day is always intense, but it sounds like you’re handling it well. And don’t worry, Leonardo may seem tough, but he’s really supportive once you get to know him.”
The conversation during lunch was friendly and light, helping me relax. I got to meet a few more colleagues, and it was comforting to realize that I was surrounded by welcoming people.
When I returned to my desk, I found an email from Leonardo with additional tasks. I spent the rest of the afternoon preparing reports and presentations, working diligently to complete everything accurately.
Near the end of the day, Leonardo approached me with a final request. “Amelia, could you take these documents up to Mr. Moretti's office? He’ll need them for a meeting tomorrow morning.”
I felt my heart race again at the thought of seeing Alex. I collected the documents and made my way to his office, reminding myself to stay calm and professional.
The door to his office was slightly open, and I knocked gently. "Excuse me, Mr. Moretti. Leonardo asked me to deliver these documents."
Alex looked up from his work, smiling as he recognized me. "Come in, Amelia. And please, remember, it's Alex."
I entered, handing him the documents. "Here are the reports for tomorrow’s meeting."
“Thank you, Amelia. How was your first day?” he asked, his eyes meeting mine with a genuine curiosity.
“It was great. A little overwhelming, but I’m settling in,” I replied, feeling more at ease with his warm demeanor.
“Glad to hear it,” he said, holding my gaze a moment longer. “If you need anything, don’t hesitate to reach out.”
I thanked him again and left his office, feeling a sense of satisfaction and motivation. Meeting Alex in person had added a level of excitement to my first day that I hadn’t expected.
That evening, I recounted my day to my mother, who was eager to hear about it. “It sounds like a promising start,” she said, smiling with pride. Despite her chronic illness and our financial struggles, her faith in me had always been unwavering.
I spent the night reflecting on the day and preparing myself for the challenges ahead. I was ready to give my all to this job, hoping it would be a step toward a better future for both my mother and me.
The following morning, I arrived early, diving into my tasks with renewed focus. Laura kept me busy with more complex assignments, and I found myself steadily gaining confidence.
One afternoon, while organizing some files in the central archive, I heard a familiar voice. "Amelia, how are things going?"
I turned to see Alex standing nearby, his expression friendly. “Mr. Moretti… I mean, Alex. Things are going well. I’m getting the hang of it.”
He stepped closer, a slight smile playing on his lips. "That’s great to hear. Keep up the good work."
His compliment made my heart skip a beat. There was something about his presence that always left me feeling slightly breathless.
At the end of the week, Leonardo called me into his office. “Amelia, I’ve been impressed with your performance. You’re adapting well, and I see a lot of potential in you.”
I felt a surge of pride. “Thank you, Leonardo. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity and eager to learn as much as I can.”
“Keep it up,” he said, smiling. “I have no doubt you’ll go far here.”
Leaving his office, I felt motivated and ready to face the challenges ahead. I knew there was a long road before me, but I was more determined than ever to succeed at LeonardoCorp.

I Loved You in Silence, You Betrayed Me in French
At my birthday party, my husband whispered to his mistress in French that he missed her. His voice was low, but I heard it all—the black lingerie, the bit about how pregnancy makes you more sensitive. His French clients around us were laughing. He turned and put his arm around me, claiming he was just helping his clients come up with sweet nothings.
He doesn't know I understand every single word. Just like he doesn't know that inside my body, I'm carrying his other surprise. And his mistress—she's pregnant too. Two wombs, one secret.

I put away the divorce agreement with a wry smile.
When he and my son completely disappeared, he finally panicked.
Three months later .
He knelt down on the streets of Chicago in despair, begging me to remarry him.
My six-year-old son looked coldly at his biological father and said, "Get lost, you bad uncle! You don't deserve to be my dad!"
When I Disappeared, He Regretted It
The moment the screen lit up, my entire world came crashing down.
The woman on the bed was Calista - that girl who grew up with us since we were kids. And that hand caressing her skin was wearing the wedding ring I had personally put on Matteo's finger.
"I've missed you so much..."
"You drive me crazy, baby..."
Those sweet words I knew so well completely destroyed me.

Since he's so good at acting, I guess it's time I gave him a show of my own. I'm going to make sure everyone sees what this "perfect husband" really is...
He Thought I'd Never Leave
When he said he was being bullied, I believed him. When he kissed me on that rooftop, I thought he felt the same. When he asked me to transfer schools with him, I said yes without hesitation.
Then I heard him bragging to his friends: "She'd save her first time for me. Hell, she'd still be thinking of me on her wedding night."
The bullying was staged. The kiss meant nothing. He just wanted me gone—so his new girl could feel more comfortable.
He thought I'd beg. He thought I'd cry. He thought I'd never actually leave.
I left the country.
And ran straight into his stepbrother.
Bury Me in His Regret
The kidnapper pressed the gun to my temple and asked, "Choose your wife or your sister-in-law?"
Zachary didn't hesitate. "Let Valerie go," he said.
He actually chose to save his sister-in-law! In that moment, even the baby in my belly seemed to stop kicking.
Later, they locked me in the basement. Drugs to delay labor were pumped into my veins over and over. Zachary wanted to save the "firstborn son" status for his sister-in-law's child.
When warm blood finally soaked through my skirt, I dialed the number I knew by heart with shaking hands.
"Zachary," I whispered into the phone, "our child... can't wait any longer."
After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire's Arms
From first crush to wedding vows, George Capulet and I had been inseparable. But in our seventh year of marriage, he began an affair with his secretary.
On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.
