Introduction

Gina's perfect life was turned into a live horror scene when she witnessed her husband fucking her sister. The worst part? She was pregnant and was ready to tell her husband only for her to realize they had been trying to make her infertile for years. Upon discovering their betrayal, they pushed her down a cliff and left her to die. Surprisingly, she was saved by a stranger who found her washed up on his beach. This stranger however wanted something from her. A marriage contract that could destroy the lives of the ones who tried to kill her. Except, this stranger also wanted her sister.

Chapter 1

Gina's POV

The sounds of skin slapping against each other and loud moans filled the penthouse, welcoming me from the door. My grip on the doorknob tightened as I stepped in warily, my heart latched on my throat.

“O-oh f-fuck, Adrian, yes!”

Adrian. My husband. Fucking another woman that wasn't me?

My legs moved on their own before I could think and I rushed up the stairs, gripping the test results in my hands tightly. Please let this be a dream. Or a prank of some sort. Let it not be real.

My steps slowed as I stood in front of the door to Adrian's room, our room and the sex sounds were even louder than before. I could hear it loud and clear, the way he slammed into her with uncontrollable force.

His groans and moans of pleasure filled my ears and the papers slipped out of my hands in despair. I reached for the doorknob when I heard him speak and his next words had me freezing.

“Fuck, Mara, I love you so fucking much.” He groaned in pleasure and it felt like I had been doused with cold water.

My husband was sleeping with my sister?

“Liar,” I heard Maya giggle in between moans. “You love my sister. That's why you married her after all. That's why you abandoned me.” She continued, her voice sulky and his thrusts slowed.

“Regina? I never loved her, who told you that? I only married her because she was nothing but collateral. She was the payment for your father's loan, remember? Besides, she kept throwing herself at me. You know I would choose you a million times over her, princess.” Adrian said, his voice soft and loving, and it felt like my heart had been crushed into pieces, making it hard to breathe.

“No…” I whispered. How could that be true? He had asked me to marry him, by himself. He promised he loved me. That he wanted to start a family with me.

Was this why he became distant after the wedding? Because I was nothing more than collateral?

“Divorce her and be with me, Adrian. I don't want to keep hiding like this anymore. She's useless to me, to us.” Maya complained like a child and I couldn't believe my ears.

Maya was not just my sister, she was my best friend. I trusted her with my life, and all I did for her was useless?

“I can't,” Adrian mumbled in distaste. “She is important. I need to use her to get the secret inheritance that she wields. Once it's mine, she can be dead and I wouldn't give a fuck.”

I took multiple steps backwards, resting on the pillar behind me to steady myself. My breath was becoming heavy as I struggled to suck in oxygen but it felt like my lungs were clogged.

They spoke some more but I couldn't listen anymore. I was shaking with rage and just when they resumed their fucking duties, I charged forward and pushed the door open.

Adrian was on top of Maya and the moment the door opened, they immediately separated with wide eyes.

“Gina.” Adrian breathed as he sat up. “You're early. Why are you back so early?”

“Why am I back so early to catch you screwing my sister?” I questioned in disbelief and turned to see that Maya had no look of guilt on her face. She simply blew on her nails like my presence was insignificant.

“Calm down, Gina. It's not that big of a deal.” Adrian muttered, draping his pants back on and I scoffed in disbelief.

“Yeah, stop acting like the world is about to end,” Maya added as she stretched gently before covering herself with the blankets.

“Aren't you both ashamed of yourselves? I trusted you… And this is how you mess with me?” I questioned in horror and Maya rolled her eyes in annoyance.

“You refused to give me a child. That was the only key to my inheritance and you chose to remain barren. I took the fertile option instead. I'm doing you a favor. Why are you so quirky about it?” Adrian replied nonchalantly and I just stood there in disbelief.

“I'm pregnant, Adrian. I'm not infertile.” I spat and Maya's eyes widened in shock, then her lips curled into a sinister smile.

“My, oh, my. How is that possible? I was sure I made you take those birth control pills every day. Did I miss a day?” Maya muttered and my heart stopped.

I simply said one word: "Okay."

My parents and Gilbert were stunned. They rushed to have me sign the voluntary donation form, afraid I’d change my mind.

Some days later, they sent me to the operating room.

Dad said, "Yvonne will finally be saved. We're so proud of you."

Mom said, "After the surgery, we'll make it up to you."

Gilbert looked tenderly at Yvonne and said, "When you're better, where should we travel?"

What they didn't know was that the day I agreed, I'd just received my diagnosis, stage four cancer. Three months to live.

As I lay on the cold operating table, as the anesthesia began to take effect, I only wanted to know one thing:

If I die on this operating table, will they regret it?

When kidnappers grabbed us, I used my body as a shield. They beat me until something inside me ruptured. I was dying from internal bleeding, but no one could tell.

My parents wouldn't even look at me. "This is your fault! None of this would've happened if it weren't for you!"

"Get downstairs and apologize to your sister. If you can't, pack your things and get out."

They threw her a party at a downtown hotel while I died alone in my room.

I thought they'd be relieved. Maybe even glad. I thought they'd just move on like I never existed.

But when they finally learned the truth, they fell apart.

My husband, Zachary, chose to save his sister-in-law right in front of the kidnappers.

Zachary didn't hesitate. "Let Valerie go," he said.

He actually chose to save his sister-in-law! In that moment, even the baby in my belly seemed to stop kicking.

Later, they locked me in the basement. Drugs to delay labor were pumped into my veins over and over. Zachary wanted to save the "firstborn son" status for his sister-in-law's child.

When warm blood finally soaked through my skirt, I dialed the number I knew by heart with shaking hands.

"Zachary," I whispered into the phone, "our child... can't wait any longer."

When my husband Allen took my hand with tears in his eyes and said, "Only you can save her," I agreed without hesitation.

When the doctor explained the surgical risks and potential complications, I smiled and nodded my understanding.

My parents said I'd finally learned what sisterly love meant.

Even Allen, who'd always been cold to me, held my hand gently and said, "The surgery's safe. You're so healthy, nothing will go wrong. When you recover, I'll take you to Hawaii."

But they don't know that no matter how the surgery goes, I won't be around to celebrate.

Because I just got my own test results—I have terminal brain cancer. I'm going to die anyway.

Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.

George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.

His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"

Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.

When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.

"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"

George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"

"I'm afraid that's impossible."

Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."
