Lisa Evans looked at the disheveled boy in front of her with disdain, her face full of contempt.
"Why? Lisa, did I do anything wrong? Tell me, and I'll change it!" Charles was bewildered, his expression turning anxious and uneasy.
Lisa was his dream girl. He had fallen for her at first sight since freshman year.
To win Lisa's affection, Charles had served her unconditionally for three years.
For three years, he often delivered breakfast to the girls' dormitory. He showed care and concern, attending to every detail.
When she wanted an iPhone, Charles worked part-time as a delivery driver for four months just to make her smile.
Maybe his efforts had moved the heavens.
A month ago, Lisa finally agreed to be his girlfriend.
"Charles, my ex-boyfriend came back. I still love him. I appreciate everything you've done for me these years, but I really don't like you. I agreed to be your girlfriend only because you comforted me when I needed it most. But gratitude isn't love. Let's break up!"
"But Lisa, Kyle Martinez is a jerk. He got you pregnant and didn't take responsibility. Why are you so obsessed with him? Is it just because he's rich?"
"Don't insult my boyfriend. You're no match for him. You're just a country bumpkin. Do you know how my best friend has been looking at me this month? I feel embarrassed walking with you. Get lost!"
"You..." Charles's face turned pale, his heart feeling like it was being torn apart.
Three years of effort, only to be met with disdain.
She was the first woman he truly loved.
To please her, he didn't even mind that Lisa had been flirting with other guys for the past three years.
Charles was willing to be a backup.
He gave his all without any repay, even willing to raise Lisa's child with someone else.
He believed that true love shouldn't mind the other's past!
But his sincerity were met with contempt and humiliation. Why is the world so unfair? Why do the truly pure and kind person always get insulted and hurt?
Despite all his efforts, Lisa still didn't love him.

"Get lost. You just make me feel disgusted!" Lisa harshly shook off Charles's hand. Soon, she got into a red Maserati by the roadside and drove away.
"Lisa, you'll regret this!" Charles shouted, his eyes bloodshot.
"Hey! Isn't that the weirdo from our school, Charles? I heard he worked part-time all year round to pursue a girl, eating only one meal a day just to buy her makeup, clothes, and bags. I can't believe people like him exists in this world!"
"Being frugal and treating a girl well is useless. You need be rich. Did you know that Kyle, second-generation rich, won Lisa's heart and slept with her in just three days?"
At the school gate, a group of students pointed and whispered. Regardless of gender, they all looked at Charles with disdain.
Charles ignored them.
He was used to being humiliated over the past three years.
At some point, he had lost his self-respect, becoming as lowly as a worm.
"Ultimate Admirer System detected a suitable host!"
"System binding... Binding complete!"
Charles was bewildered.
He had read many novels where the protagonists had systems. He never thought such an absurd thing would happen to him.
The next second, a virtual interface popped up in front of him.

'Special Funds Limit? Does this mean the money I can spend?' As Charles pondered, a mysterious black card appeared in his hand.
