Off-Limit: NOT my Stepbrother
Cherie Akwu · Ongoing · 74.2k Words
Introduction
He leaned down until his face was in my neck. He trailed the tip of his nose up my neck, "I can't, little red. Not so soon."
I bit my lips, holding back my shallow breaths.
"What -" my words slammed back into my throat, dying down, when his hand groped my thigh.
"I'm going to keep moving my hands up until my finger is soaked with your juice, little red." He spoke softly, trailing his hands up, slowly.
_
A dare to make out with the hottest biker.
That was all it was supposed to be.
Hell, I wasn't even supposed to see him again ever in my life - I mean, wasn't it why we made out with strangers?
But nope. There he was... sitting directly opposite me at a family dinner, staring deep into my soul with the most cocky smirk I had ever seen in my life, sending cold shivers down my spine.
Who would've thought my one-time playmate would be my STEPBROTHER. God have mercy!
Now, Sinn and I shared a dirty secret and he was never going to let me live it down. Worse, I couldn't get that moment out of my head - not when it felt so steamy, yet so wrong.
But I had promised myself that Sinn was Off-limit. I couldn't like my Stepbrother. Never.
Chapter 1
Valerie's POV
"I dare you..." Nikita, my only best friend, smirked at me, holding out a paper cup for me.
"Mhm-hmm?" I raised my eyebrow at her, taking the cup from her.
She opened her mouth to talk when the crowd cheered loudly, whistling and yelling at the top of their lungs as they hailed the bikers.
Nikita and I turned to the track, smiling brightly. We squealed once the exhaust from the bikers motorcycles rumbled loudly. Electricity sparked all over my body, sending the expected adrenaline rush I always looked forward to whenever I participated or did things I shouldn't.
It wasn't like I liked putting myself in these type of spaces - you know, the illegal space. Aside from the fact that it spited my father, another reason or rather, the main reason I did it was because I wanted to ... feel something.
These were the only times I actually felt something, other than numbness. Especially on this day -
My mother's memorial.
My heart clenched in my chest from the thought of 'she' not being with us. With me. Things hadn't been the same since she died. It was as though she left with a part of me.
Nikita snapped me out of my head, nudging my shoulder with hers while pointing at the boy with a black and red helmet in his hand. His jawline was sharp and defined, his eyes grey and hooded, promising danger. He had a stud piercing on both ears and a ring piercing at the corner of his lips.
Mhm!
I wondered where else he had a piercing.
"He's so hot," She stated leaving no room for debating. "What do you think about him?"
My forehead creased in confusion. What did I think about him? Didn't she just establish that he was hot? What else?
"Okay okay, I'm daring you - no, I dare you to kiss him."
My mouth parted, the beer now tasting soured on my tongue.
"Come on! This isn't even a hard dare for The Audacious Valerie. Don't tell me you're growing a heart now," she gasped dramatically, placing her free hand on my chest.
"As if!" I rolled my eyes, ignoring the knot in my stomach.
"Then do it! After the race."
Swallowing hard, I turned to face the 'dare' guy. I never hesitated to do anything but this time ... Something different was happening to me, like I was feeling intimidated by him.
No. I refuse.
It was definitely the drink I was having.
My breath hitched abruptly when he turned to our side of the crowd, his eyes settling on mine. He held my gaze for a long while, before running his fingers through his hair, giving me a better view of his face.
My throat bobbed up and down.
He was freaking beautiful.
He winked at me, placing his helmet on his head slowly, his eyes never leaving mine. My heart raced, really fast. I grinded my teeth heard, my face straight and expressionless.
"Oh my God! Did he just wink at you?" Nikita looked at me with wide eyes.
"I... I doubt. There are thousands of girls here. How are we sure it's me?" Chuckling nervously, I threw into my mouth, the remaining content in my cup, the beer burning my throat.
"If you say so." Nikita hummed sarcastically, telling me she didn't believe me one bit. "The race is starting! I know hot new boy will win."
Scoffing, I folded my arms. I was paying attention to the race but then my head drifted into the fact that today was really my mother's memorial. This wasn't the proper way to mourn her and I knew it. I just couldn't bring myself to go to her grave. Not when I was still mad at her. Nikita noticed my change in mood, breaking my hands free as she laced our fingers together. Tight.
Nikita wasn't an all-telling emotional person by nature, but she made sure to always speak through her actions. She was like the sister I never had.
We met at a cliff, years back when my mother had just died. I wanted to end the constant pain - you know, join my mother wherever she was - when Nikita showed up, telling me about things that didn't even concern me, cracking stupid jokes about death and random things to make me laugh, then apologized for interrupting my little suicide mission and encouraged me to continue, pretending not to have met her at all.
Funny girl.
Already, I had lost the intent and zeal. Then I ran into her arm, doing the one thing I had never done before - crying out to a total stranger. But hey! It made me feel good.
To Nikita, I owed my life.
"Yesss!!!" Nikita screamed at the top of her lungs, jumping up and down. "I told you he'd win!"
I wasn't surprised at all. He looked like he had it in him anyway.
Nikita turned to me, signaling me with her brows to get to business.
"Can we -"
"Can we..." Nikita folded her arms, raising one of her brows.
I shook my head. Nikita was going to bill the shit out of me if I tapped out of a dare. Besides, it'd be the first dare I'd be tapping out of.
Nope. Not happening.
I adviced myself to put it together, exhaling softly.
"Go, girl!" Nikita cheered, wiggling her fingers at me as she watched me go.
Getting guys wasn't my problem because added to my many charms, I was beautiful. My mother always said I had the beauty of a goddess. However, this guy...
Okay, enough.
I stood by the corner, watching as girls gathered him, trying to talk to him or take his number. When I saw he had managed to escape them to get himself a drink at the VIP area meant for bikers and their girls, I hurriedly walked over there.
One of the heavy-bodied bouncer they had as security to maintain the restrictiveness of this area, raised his eyebrow at me. "Who are you with?"
Oh shit. I cussed in my head.
"Uhh..."
"She's with me," a voice said from behind the bouncer. I bit my lower lips, eyes narrowly staring into those stormy cold grey eyes.
The bouncer nodded curtly, making way for me. I swallowed hard, making my way inside.
"I've seen you around," the hot guys spoke, slowly walking ahead of me until he got to this car where booze were loaded.
"Well, I haven't seen you around," I smirked, putting on my big girl's panties.
He threw me a lopsided smirk, handing me a soft canned drink. "Drink?"
Oh. He was being discreet huh?
I eyed the drink in his hand, making a face, "you don't have faith in me, do you?"
His forehead creased in confusion. Chuckling lowly, I took the black bullet from his hand. It was already opened and drunk halfway.
"It -"
Before he would get the rest of his sentence out of his mouth, I had taken a swig of it, the bitter taste slapping my throat instantly.
Urgh!
"Hmm... Okay? I think I got the message now," He scoffed lightly, taking the drink from my outstretched hand. "So, why are you here? You know, in the private area?"
The first idea I had was to lie. But when I raised my eyes up to meet his, the lies wouldn't come out.
"You,"
His eyes widened in obvious shock. He probably didn't expect my blunt response. "Me?"
I was about to tell him how I was dared to kiss him and just wanted to get over it fast so I could move on with my day but suddenly a group of boy cheered his name from a corner, cutting us off.
"I'm coming!" He yelled at them, bringing his attention back to me as he carried me to a corner. "You should leave now."
My eyes fluttered, confusion evident on my face.
"I would be leaving soon and the last thing I'd want to be doing tomorrow is sitting in the police office, being interrogated," he shrugged.
Oh.
Scoffing, I pulled my hand from his grip. "I think I'm big enough to take care of myself, biker boy,"
He raised his hands up in defense. "Whatever you say,"
"It's boring here anyway, I - I should go. This is not because you asked me to," I pointed at him, my face straight.
"Well, not so soon, Little Red," he held my hand softly, moving closer until he was towering over me. "Not looking like this," his voice dipped in, eyes pinned against mine.
My heartbeat raced wildly in my chest. Gosh, that voice.
Ew. What the hell was wrong with me?
He leaned down until his face were inches away from mine. I refused to cower away, waiting to see what he was on to.
His thumb slowly brushed the side of my lips, wiping off the liquid I didn't even know was there. Then he held the thumb up to my face and with his eyes locked onto mine, he licked it off his thumb. Slowly.
Oh my fucking goodness.
"Mhm...better, you're welcome." He winked at me before turning to leave. "See you around, Little Red!" He yelled from a distance, not turning back, but he made sure I knew he was referring to me.
I stood there a bit embarrassed and shy as I came into a conclusion - Boys like him were bad for my reputation.
So...
I never wanted to see him. Ever!

After One Night with the Alpha
I thought I was waiting for love. Instead, I got fucked by a beast.
My world was supposed to bloom at the Moonshade Bay Full Moon Festival—champagne buzzing in my veins, a hotel room booked for Jason and me to finally cross that line after two years. I’d slipped into lacy lingerie, left the door unlocked, and lay on the bed, heart pounding with nervous excitement.
But the man who climbed into my bed wasn’t Jason.
In the pitch-black room, drowned in a heady, spicy scent that made my head spin, I felt hands—urgent, scorching—searing my skin. His thick, pulsing cock pressed against my dripping cunt, and before I could gasp, he thrust hard, tearing through my innocence with ruthless force. Pain burned, my walls clenching as I clawed at his iron shoulders, stifling sobs. Wet, slick sounds echoed with every brutal stroke, his body unrelenting until he shuddered, spilling hot and deep inside me.
"That was amazing, Jason," I managed to say.
"Who the fuck is Jason?"
My blood turned to ice. Light slashed across his face—Brad Rayne, Alpha of Moonshade Pack, a werewolf, not my boyfriend. Horror choked me as I realized what I’d done.
I ran away for my life!
But weeks later, I woke up pregnant with his heir!
They say my heterochromatic eyes mark me as a rare true mate. But I’m no wolf. I’m just Elle, a nobody from the human district, now trapped in Brad's world.
Brad’s cold gaze pins me: “You carry my blood. You’re mine.”
There is no other choice for me but to chose this cage. My body also betrays me, craving the beast who ruined me.
