Introduction

Serena Hart is done being the family disappointment—the plus-size sister dumped by her boyfriend for her perfect, slender sibling.
When her parents demand she attend the wedding or lose everything, she makes a desperate move: she hires a scorching-hot gigolo to play her devoted boyfriend for one night.

Only, the man who shows up isn’t a gigolo.

Jake Blackwood is a billionaire with dangerous secrets… and the same mysterious stranger who spent one unforgettable night worshipping every curve of her body.

His heated whispers and intense violet-blue eyes make her forget the humiliation waiting inside the ballroom.
What begins as a fake relationship quickly spirals into something far more dangerous. Because Jake isn’t playing a role—he’s obsessed.

In a world that tried to break her for her curves, one billionaire is ready to worship every soft, generous inch of her… if she’ll let him.
Will one unforgettable night turn into forever, or will her past destroy their chance at something real?

Chapter 1

Serena pushed open her apartment door with her hip, the grocery bags cutting into her palms. Her soft, full-figured body filled the narrow hallway as she stepped inside. Another long, soul-crushing day at the temp agency—where the slim, polished girls landed the permanent jobs and the curvy ones with temporary jobs like her received polite smiles and another rejection email. Another night of frozen dinners and mindless television, trying to numb the constant ache of never quite being enough.

She let the bags drop onto the counter with a heavy thud, the familiar weight of her own body pressing down on her shoulders.

“Serena, darling! There you are at last.”

Her mother’s refined voice sliced through the quiet, making Serena jump so hard she nearly knocked over the bags.

She peeked around the corner. Both parents sat on her modest sofa like visiting royalty. “Mom? Dad? What are you doing here? How did you even get in?” Her heart hammered against her ribs.

Her father, Gabriel Hart, straightened his already perfect posture. “The superintendent let us in. We’ve been waiting nearly an hour.”

Of course they had. The Harts had a way of making the world bend to them.

“You could have called,” Serena said, fighting to keep the irritation out of her voice.

“We did—twice,” Hannah replied, smoothing an invisible wrinkle from her designer skirt. “You didn’t answer.” Serena glanced at her phone. Two missed calls.

“What’s so urgent that you had to ambush me at home?” she asked. Her father’s eye twitched.

Hannah’s crimson lips curved into a brittle smile. “We have wonderful news!” She held out a luxurious cream envelope with elegant gold embossing. Serena’s stomach dropped.

“I don’t want it,” she said flatly.

“Don’t be ridiculous, Serena,” her father chided. “Take the invitation.”

“I already know what it is.” Serena folded her arms over her generous chest. “Amelia and Ethan’s wedding. My answer is no.”

Her mother’s smile faltered. “Serena Elizabeth Hart, this childish grudge has gone on long enough. Amelia is your sister.”

“And Ethan was my boyfriend for three years before he left me because of this.” Serena gestured to her wide hips, soft belly, and thick thighs. “If you weren’t so…” Hannah paused, her gaze drifting over Serena’s body with thinly veiled disgust, “…fat, maybe he wouldn’t have gone for Amelia.”

The words hit like a slap. The memory still burned: walking in on them, Ethan’s awkward excuses about needing someone “more fitting,” someone who didn’t carry the extra weight Serena had struggled with her whole life. Everyone knew the truth—slim, perfect Amelia was the daughter who made the family look good. Not the oversized disappointment.

“That was nearly a year ago,” her father dismissed with a wave of his hand. “People make mistakes.”

“A mistake?” Serena let out a bitter laugh that sounded hollow even to her own ears. “He told me I was too much—too soft, too big, too embarrassing for his ambitions. And you both act like it’s my fault for not being smaller.”

Hannah stood and approached her cautiously. “Darling, sometimes love is complicated. They realized they were meant to be—”

“In my bed? While I was working to support him through law school?” Fresh anger surged through Serena. “And now you expect me to celebrate them? To watch my own sister marry the man who dumped me for being fat?”

“We expect you to be mature,” her father said, his voice dropping into the authoritative tone that had ruled her childhood. “The Harts and their circle have maintained appearances for generations. Your absence would create an unnecessary scene.”

“So I’m supposed to smile, toast their happiness, and pretend I’m fine while everyone whispers about the fat sister who couldn’t keep him?” Her voice cracked.

Hannah placed the invitation on the counter like a royal decree. “Yes. That’s exactly what you’ll do. Because you’re a Hart, and Harts handle difficult situations with grace and dignity.”

Tears burned at the back of Serena’s eyes. “What about loyalty to your daughter? Does that mean anything, or does it disappear the moment I’m a little bit oversized—like that’s all I am to you?”

Her father rose, towering in the small apartment. “Enough dramatics. You will attend the wedding. You will be pleasant. And you will put this unpleasantness behind you. This discussion is over.”

Serena stared at them—her own parents, people who shared her blood but saw her body as her greatest failure. “Get out.”

“Excuse me?” Her mother’s eyes widened.

“I need you to leave. Now.” Serena held the door open, her hand trembling. They exchanged looks of deep disapproval before gathering their things. Hannah paused at the threshold. “The wedding is in three weeks. We expect you there.” Her tone left no room for argument.

The moment the door closed behind them, Serena slid down against it, her soft curves meeting the floor as the tears finally broke free. If you weren’t so fat. The words crushed her. She grabbed her phone with shaking fingers and called the only person who had never reduced her to her size.

“Chloe? Can you come over? It’s an emergency.”

Twenty minutes later, Chloe burst through the door, arms loaded with wine bottles and ice cream. “What happened? You look awful,” she said, immediately pouring two generous glasses of red.

Serena handed her the invitation without a word. Chloe’s face darkened.

“Those spineless, image-obsessed—” She stopped herself, breathing deeply. “They ambushed you here?”

Serena nodded, taking the glass with unsteady hands. “They said I have to go. Smile and pretend everything’s fine, like my weight isn’t the reason he left me for Amelia.”

“Screw that!” Chloe set her glass down hard. “You are absolutely not going to that wedding.”

“But my parents—”

“Your parents can shove their family loyalty where the sun doesn’t shine,” Chloe snapped. “They don’t understand loyalty when it comes to you and your body.”

Serena sipped the wine, grateful for her friend’s fierce protectiveness even as the pain lingered. “What am I going to do? They won’t accept no.”

Chloe’s eyes suddenly lit up with that familiar mischievous spark. “When’s the wedding date?” She snatched the invitation again.

“July 16th,” Serena said miserably.

“Oh”. Her voice matched my vibe.

Then a wide smile spread across her face. “Tomorrows the night of the Sterling Masquerade Ball.”

“The what?”

“Only the most exclusive event of the summer! Masks, gowns, champagne—and best of all, itll help you get your mind off your backstabbing sister or spineless ex.” Chloe grabbed her phone and started typing furiously. “My family’s company always gets invitations. I was planning to skip it, but now…”

“Chloe, I don’t know…”

“Haven’t you always wanted to feel like Cinderella for one night? To escape your life and be someone else entirely?” Chloe’s eyes shone with excitement. “One night of magic instead of misery. You deserve that much, curves and all.”

“My schedule will never agree to it.”

“Leave it to me,” Chloe said with a grin. “I’ll tell your boss it’s a good way to advertise rouge’s dresses. We could wear one of his special designs and you know…itll catch a lot of eyes”.

Over the next day, Chloe’s plan unfolded perfectly. Serena’s boss went with it and even offered his best gown that cost more than a months rent—a stunning red number that made even Serena consider her shape when she saw herself in the mirror. She arranged professional hair and makeup too.

On the night of the ball, Serena stood in front of her mirror, barely recognizing the woman staring back. The red dress hugged every generous curve of her plus-size body, her usually unruly black hair fell in perfect waves, and the golden mask made her green eyes look almost otherworldly.

Chloe appeared behind her in midnight blue. “You look incredible. Ready to have the night of your life?”

But the weight of the day suddenly crashed over Serena. What if it actually doenst go as planned. What exactly will she do at the ball anyways?

“I think I’d better stay,” she whispered, hands trembling. “I’m not in the party mood.”

My world was supposed to bloom at the Moonshade Bay Full Moon Festival—champagne buzzing in my veins, a hotel room booked for Jason and me to finally cross that line after two years. I’d slipped into lacy lingerie, left the door unlocked, and lay on the bed, heart pounding with nervous excitement.

But the man who climbed into my bed wasn’t Jason.

In the pitch-black room, drowned in a heady, spicy scent that made my head spin, I felt hands—urgent, scorching—searing my skin. His thick, pulsing cock pressed against my dripping cunt, and before I could gasp, he thrust hard, tearing through my innocence with ruthless force. Pain burned, my walls clenching as I clawed at his iron shoulders, stifling sobs.
