Once the test is past she will be properly married in the eyes of the vampire coven. Lance and Melody eventually have a baby girl, Lila, that they hide from the king. They know her fate will be the same as Melody's and they do not want their daughter to suffer the same awful experience as she did. An opposing coven figures out Lila is a hybrid and does a recon mission to get close to her. Eventually they have to hide within the vampire king's coven. Lila will propose a list of men her grandfather and father approve of and they have to apply to date her. She falls for two of them, but one of them will betray her and she is able to make her choice, but not after going through hell.
