Introduction
Chapter 1
A very strange laugh echoedthrough the room.
Everyone in the classroom looked toward the back row with puzzled expressions.
A boy had his head down on the desk, continuously letting out strange laughter, his body trembling with excitement.
"John Frost!" the teacher on the podium immediately darkened his face and spoke coldly.
However, only laughter responded to him.
The homeroom teacher, Wesley Hughes, finally couldn't hold back. He grabbed a piece of chalk and threw it directly at John.
The chalk hit John's deskmate with precision.
"Mr. Hughes, I..."
Tobias looked aggrieved, feeling wronged even while just sitting there.
"Wake John up!" Wesley said without changing his expression.
"John! John!" Tobias had no choice but to comply, pushing his deskmate.
John said, "Stop it."
But John's body continued to shake, accompanied by his lewd laughter.
Seeing this, Wesley's face grew darker and darker, seemingly on the verge of exploding.
Tobias knew he had to do something.
"School's out," Tobias said softly.
"Let's go!" John reacted almost instinctively, standing up straight in an instant, even kicking his chair a bit.
Seeing this, the classmates couldn't help but burst into laughter.
John, who had just woken up, was a bit slow to react, looking confused.
John thought, 'It's just the end of school. Is it worth laughing so loudly? Can't you be as calm as I am?'
He rubbed his sleepy eyes and suddenly saw a big dark face occupying his vision.
"Holy crap! What the heck?!" he exclaimed.
The next second, John quickly realized what was happening, his body jolting to attention.
John greeted, "Mr. Hughes. Hello..."
Wesley asked, "Are you dreaming?"
Wesley's face was as dark as coal, making people worry it might spontaneously combust.
"No."
John quickly shook his head, but thinking of the scene in his dream, he started laughing again.
Wesley took a deep breath, forcibly suppressing his anger.
Tobias said, "Big Bro, you're really fearless."
On the side, Tobias's eyes were filled with admiration, as if he were looking up to a life idol.
John realized he had fucked up big time, forcing himself to stop laughing and keep silent.
"Why are you sleeping in class?" Wesley asked sternly.
'As a student, doesn't it make sense for me to sleep during math class?' John thought to himself.
But seeing Wesley's angry face, he held back from saying it out loud.
Wesley glared at him, then seemed to think of something and didn't get angry again.
He returned to the podium and pointed at the blackboard.
Wesley asked, "What's the answer to the problem I just explained? If you get it wrong, get out of the classroom."
John stretched his body and rubbed his eyes.
But when he saw the problem on the board, he was instantly confused.
[In the early Galactic Era, what was the magic used by a Beast Tamer to sign a contract spirit?]
John looked bewildered, with fourphilosophical questions popping into his mind.
John thought, 'Who am I? Where am I? What the heck is this? Isn't this a math class? Wesley is a math teacher.'
Seeing John's dumbfounded look, Wesley's face grew darker, and he crushed the chalk in his hand.
He was getting angrier and about to explode.
At this moment, John knew he had to say something to salvage the situation.
Finally, he tentatively spoke, "Incantation, incantation."
Wesley couldn't hold back anymore and slammed his hand on the desk.
Wesley shouted, "What the heck is this?!"
"Mr. Hughes, don't be angry. Give me another chance!" John quickly spoke, trying to calm the homeroom teacher's anger temporarily.
He then added, "Essay questions are beyond my knowledge range. Multiple-choice questions are my forte!"
"Multiple-choice questions, multiple-choice questions! Is that all you could do!" Wesley roared, even making the ground seem to shake.
"Beast Taming selection system successfully activated!" The voice in John's mind made him confused again.
Then, three options appeared before his eyes.
[Option 1: Honestly admit your mistake and promise not to do it again. Reward: A small amount of Beast Taming skills]
[Option 2: Spread your hands and sincerely say, "I'm very bad at studying and don't know anything." Reward: Low-grade flame potion]
[Option 3: Remain silent and keep your head down. Reward: Contract spirit obedience +1]
John thought, 'Protagonist's halo!'
Although John was confused, he reacted quickly. This was clearly protagonist treatment.
He just needed to choose from the options to get various rewards.
Although he didn't know what these rewards were for, it didn't matter. He just needed to choose.
He glanced at the options and quickly concluded.
The rewards for the three options seemed mediocre, with words like 'small amount,' 'low-grade,' and 'increase by 1' indicating they were minimal.
John muttered under his breath, "What a stingy system."
Although the rewards seemed poor, the low-grade flame potion seemed the best.
John didn't care about the options' content; he only cared about the reward.
He had to make a brave choice.
Moreover, based on his habit of answering questions, he should have chosen the second option.
John appeared serene. He looked at Wesley and surveyed everyone around him, almost as if he were a leader conducting an inspection. He was just short of clasping his hands behind his back as if ready to deliver a leader's address.
Then, he spread his hands and looked serious.
John said, "I'm very bad at studying and don't know anything."
John sighed as he said this.
The classroom turned very quiet!
Extremely quiet!
Even the air in the classroom seemed to freeze.
Everyone looked at John, their eyes filled with admiration.
'Our role model!' they were all thinking.
In this class, no one dared to confront Wesley.
This was too crazy.
Wesley said, "John, come with me to the office!"
Wesley's face suddenly calmed down, but it was extremely oppressive.
Seeing Wesley leave the classroom, John straightened his shirt, and a voice sounded in his mind.
"Choice successful! Reward: Low-grade flame potion!"
"Due to the host's impressive performance, additional reward: Contract spirit obedience +1!"
"The potion has been automatically placed in the system space!"
John slowly walked out of the classroom, like a warrior about to go to battle.
All his classmates admired him, as if waiting for his triumphant return.
A 'bloody and violent' scene had just begun.
After the two left, the classmates started discussing.
"What's going on? Why is John so brave?"
"He outright challenged Wesley's authority. Even the geniuses in the Beast Tamer Class wouldn't dare to be so reckless."
"Tobias, what's going on? You're John's deskmate. Do you know what's happening?"
Although John's name sounded serious, he was too naughty,
His thought process was not on the same channel as normal people, which earned him a nickname.
Tobias straightened his back, looking proud.
Tobias replied, "Nonsense, my deskmate is not a simple person. I've always said he's amazing."

"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
